Nandu narrowed her eyes at the new entry... while the person frowned seeing her in the house...

Inaya: oh, hi... i thought you would be late... so... i bought a friend...she said tugging nandu's hand while nandu gave the girl in front of her a smile...

Nandu: hi, i didnt expect to see you here... she said looking at the girl who was wearing ripped jeans and white top with some letters on it... her hair was left to flow freely... it even had small highlights of red at the ends...

She was the same girl who gave her the cake...

Girl: nor did i expect you land on my home... she said taking off her heels... while Inaya frowned...

Inaya: muku... common... you should at least greet her... she urged her while mukthi sighed... she was already tired with a long day serving people meals and now this... she went near her room and entered it...

Mukthi: Hello, not very nice to meet you... hope you have a happy journey... Bye... she said slamming her door shut making nandu cough...

Nandu: well... she said while Inaya made a troubled face as she handed her a glass of water...

Inaya: I am so sorry... she is just on her periods... she said making nandu almost spit her drink again... Inaya immediately gave her a tissue to wipe her mouth...

Inaya: sorry, i mean she is just in a bad mood... she said while nandu nodded in an understanding way...

Nandu bid Inaya bye and decided to go buy a cell phone... Only because inaya asked her to... it seems it would be very troublesome to contact her without that 'machine'...

She went to a small mall near her hotel...

There were lot of machines there... different sizes... she looked around to see different colours too...

A sales women approached her...

SW: hello, mam... would you like to see our latest models... she asked with a wide smile while nandu shook her head...

*she wont be able to afford it...*

Rae: yeah... you can buy it if you want to sleep on the roads... she said scoffing making nandu pout...

Nandu: well, can you show me your most cheapest phone... she asked while the sales women let a troubled smile before guiding her to a corner...

SW: well, we have these... they start from 999 only... she said while nandu gulped visibly...

Rae: huh, we cant even afford that... you better work you ass out and make some money... she said making nandu roll her eyes internally...

Nandu: umm, do you have anything more cheap than that... she asked while Sales Woman rolled her eyes...

SW: well, we must still have some flips... they start at 599... would you like to see... she asked being bored...

Nandu: yes please... and also is there any chance to get some discount... she asked whike the sales women looked at her in disbelief...

SW: no mam... she said while nandu pouted but still nodded...

She saw various flips before finally selecting a small black nokia flip phone...

*It was enough for now...*

She thought as she reluctantly gave the sales women money... she went out and sighed loudly... very unlikely of her...

Nandu: you gotta work baby... she said to herself...

Rae: yes... yes... work hard and buy a place to live first... she said...

Nandu sighed and retired to her hotel... she freshed up and was about to fall on bed when the mirror vibrated... she held the mirror which amms gave and tapped twice...

Amms: hello dear... how was your day... she asked while nandu smiled weakly at her...

*ah, it was such a nice feeling to have someone ask about her day...*

She narrated the whole incidents which occured to which amms listened without interrupting...

Amms: you know dear, we are always here right... if it is too hard to handle then come back to visit us for few days... she said making nandu smile truthfully...

Nandu: yes amms... how's rishu... she asked while amms just sighed...

Amms: he just misses you very much... he always asks about you... or if you called or not... he just slept now... She said while nandu had a sad smile on her face...

Nandu: i will try to come this weekend... she said while amms smiled heartily...

They both talked for a few more minutes and bid each other good bye...

Next morning nandu got ready in a beautiful but comfortable jeans and a long shirt... these were the last of her clothes she bought with her...

The previous ones she worn needed to be washed... and she didnt know the ABC of washing...

She needed to learn how to do these things on her own... she cannot waste money by giving them for washing...

She decided that tomorrow would be her washing clothes day...

She finally left the hotel to the restaurant where she would be working...

She greeted the old couple politely and went to change into her outfit... it was light brown sweater... it had a homely feel...

Nandu went and greeted her colleagues who were friendly too...

Time skip...

Nandu got off her work at exactly 4 pm... her phone pinged slightly... she let a yelp...

Rae: common nandu... its just a small phone... she said rolling her eyes...

Nandu: its not my fault... i am not used to it... she said while opening her phone...

She had read the manual this morning... and also messaged Inaya from it...

Heya girl...

We just got a gig... arent i great... hehe...

Well, its at 7 in the evening... its CNNresturant where they are conducting a small dance show... its not live so dont worry...

Its really good place, i already visited it... i want you to be there by 6:30... and dont worry about your costume i have it all covered... and dont forget your wig...

She went in... she wore her wig and turned her eyes to red... she was greeted by Inaya who was already waiting for her... she smiled at her and bought her to a room to change...

Voice: i hope you enjoyed your stay here Mr. Malhotra... he said as he sipped his wine...

Manik: yes, it was indeed good... he said nodding politely... but his eyes were distinct...

He was like this since the past 5 years... he used to be happy lucky go type but then not meeting your mate for 5 years can do wonders...

He waited and waited but she never came... he had responsibilities to fullfil... he had a kingdom on his shoulders for goddess's sake...

He grew rather distinct... it wasnt the he was mateless... he knew he had a mate... she was somewhere for sure...

He will continue to search for her though... he wouldnt give up no matter what...

Manik: well, i would like to excuse myself... he said while the person nodded...

He called cabir to inform him that they were leaving...

Manik reached the ground floor while nandu who was waiting for the lift saw the doors open...

She slightly raised her brow to meet chocolate brown eyes who coincidentally too looked at her red eyes... they blinked at each other... but were forced to break the eyes lock by Inaya and cabir...

Inaya: common nanz... let's go... we are getting late... she said dragging her inside while cabir dragged the immobilized manik out...

Cabir: manik... what happened to you man... he asked while manik was in a daze...

He blinked his eyes a little...

*she...........*

Manik turned towards the elevator...

Rayn: manik, she... maybe... manik's wolf Rayn spoke...

Manik quickly tapped on the elevator button... he tapped it innumerable times...

Cabir was confused, why he was behaving like this...

Meanwhile... nandu got out of her daze as Inaya ushered her towards the stage...

She had to dance on a pop song... and well, it was 'cant stop dancing' by becky G...

She was really nervous this time... since she was the one going to climb the stage... not rae... she was the one facing the audience...

She gulped visibly making Inaya hug her...

Inaya: its alright... you are the best... you can do it... she said while nandu hugged her back and nodded slightly...

Man: umm, miss, you are on now... he said while nandu took a deep breath...

She went up the stage to see soo many people...

Nandu's outfit guys... imagine the top a little longer...

When the song was finished... thunderous applause was heard... everyone was clapping for her... this bought her out of her little bubble... she looked at inaya who was now crying out of happiness...

Inaya mouthed her the following words...

Inaya smiled happily... nandu bowed and went away from the stage...

She felt herself shivering... all of a sudden everything felt numb... she tried pinching herself to feel something...

Rae: nandu... she said softly... while nandu closed her eyes tightly...

* No Rae... dont utter a word... not now... please...*

She said while Rae kept quiet understanding her inner turmoil...

Inaya: should i drop you home nanz... she asked her while nandu just shook her head...

Thats when someone called inaya... she excused herself...

Nandu immediately went towards the elevator... she pressed the ground floor button...

She hugged her bare arms tightly...

It was already night... there were only some people on the road... she walked straight not caring about the world...

Meanwhile manik who saw this immediately went near the stairs... he cursed himself for not shoving people out of the way to get to her... well, he was busy admiring her that he even forgot to approach her... that was until Rayn cursed him badly...

Manik used his wolf speed to climb down... he even jumped few floors...

Well, he came down finally and searched for the girl who could possibly be his mate...

A small white figure appeared near the door...

It pushed the door and went out... manik immediately followed her... he looked at her... she was walking aimlessly...

He took off his coat seeing her rub her arms...

He was about to pass it to her when he got a call...

Cabir: manik, you need to come back... its an emergency... he spoke hurriedly while manik's heart stopped...

He had to go... but he wanted to meet her... he wanted to ask her if she was his mate... if she was then he wanted to hold her tightly... hug her...

Cabir: manik, please... there was an attack... he said sighing...

He quickly went towards nandu and wrapped his coat around her shoulders and jogged back to the black car which was already waiting for him...

Nandu who all of a sudden felt something warm around her turned around to see a tall man jogging back to the black car... she felt calm she forgot her inner turmoil for a second... the coat was still warm...

He entered the car and closed the door... he looked at her halted figure looking at him from the black mirror...

He touched the mirror or you could say nandu's image on it... the car sped away leaving her... that was the moment when the last straw broke...

Nandu hugged the warm coat... tears began to spill from her big doe eyes... it was a painful feeling... she didnt know why her heart was crying... as if a part of her just left her... this empty feeling...

Pit pat... drops of rain fell on her... even the sky was crying feeling her pain...

Rae: nandu... i will always be with you... she said silently as she heard nandu's loud cries...

Nandu: i wa-nt to go hom-e... i wan--t to go ho---me... she shouted loudly but no one was there to hear...

Dancing made her feel alive at the same time broke her too... as when ever she danced she would remember him or her family...

That night nandu walked all the way home with a coat hugging her tightly...
