Nandu's pov...

I have been walking for hours... i wonder why every turn looks like the before one... this was way better in Carnia...

I could sense where my friends were... or mind link people to recieve me from my home... i knew the place like the back of my hand... but every things so strange here...

Its screaming at me in capitals "YOU DONT BELONG HERE"

Rae: its true, you dont belong here... she said nonchantly while nandu who was on verge of crying glared inwardly...

* i miss that place... it is my home...*

Rae: it was... it is no more now... she said while nandu sat on one of the empty chairs in front of some cafe...

Her eyes lowered at that thought...

But who was she kidding... even if she was strong like an iron man...

there is no way she can ignore the pain in the thing inside her chest which stubbornly insists to beat...

She just kept on looking at the endless stream of people walking here and there... not waiting for a moment...

* the whole world seems so busy... yet i have nothing to do... no work, no money, no place to stay... it looks like the whole world is moving ahead of me... and i am afraid to fall back since i already fell once...*

She thought as her eyes became void of any emotion... she then heard some one clear her throat...

She looked up to see a girl with sharp features and dressed up in jeans and top with an apron... she looked frustrated...

Voice: look, miss are you gonna order or not... she asked while nandu raised her brow at her attitude...

Nandu: i would like a cup of black coffee please... she said politely adding a touch of sarcasm in her tone... it was how she would always talk... no wonder people misunderstood her...

The other girl grinned at her while nandu just ignored her and resumed what she was doing before... that is, nothing...

The girl went away no saying anything... she then came back with a black coffee along with a slice of cheese cake...

Girl: here, your order... and something special... on house... she said and was about to go when nandu stopped her...

Nandu: pardon me but, why... she said being confused...

Girl: so you can fill the void in your heart with this cake... she said quoting before turning around and going away as if nothing happened just now...

Nandu just looked at her until she disappeared before shaking her head at the girl with complex emotions... one time, she was frustrated the next she was nice... she couldn't understand...

She soon stuffed her mouth with the delicious cheesecake... after finisfing her small meal she decided to search for what she was looking before... A home...

Yes you heard it right... she was searching a house for herself which would be her home...

She went to the counter to see a good looking man standing with a smile as he greeted her...

Man: hey, hope you liked our cake... he said while she too smiled politely before handing him the money...

Man: excuse me... your change... he said while nandu gestured him to keep it with him...

Man: sorry but this is a lot... even for a tip... he said while nandu shook her head again...

Nandu: then, are there any houses nearby... you could think of that as a payment for the information... she said while the man sighed...

Man: ok, fine... there are two houses in this area... one is not much good... while the other us good but it already has a tenant... i know them... if you want i could ask them for some discount... he said while nandu made a thoughtful look...

Nandu: alright... i will inform you if i am up to it... she said as she smiled and made her way out...

Nandu dragged herself to the nearest hotel... she was really tired... she opened her bag and took out a small mirror with copper color frame which gave an odd but comfortable feeling... it was something amms gave her...

She tapped the mirror two times while thinking about amms... she opened her eyes to see... them smiling at her...

Amms: hey dear, you look tired... she said being concerned while rishab was jumping up and down beside her...

Rishab: nandu, nandu... he said shouted while she smiled at his childishness...

Nandu: hi rishab... how was your school... she asked while he spent a whole 30 minutes talking to her about different things... soon amms ordered rishab to go to his room and do his homework for tomorrow...

Amms: so, did you rent a room... she asked while nandu nodded her head in no...

Amms: its ok dear... no matter what dont loose hope... you know you can always come back right... she said while nandu smiled...

They talked about various things before hanging up... this mirror was originally a normal one... amms put a spell on it to communicate with her easily as nandu doesnt use a cell phone...

Well partially, she didnt need it as there were mind links... but not the situation was different...

She just fell back on her soft bed after bathing...

Staring at the white ceiling... her eyes drooped ever so slowly but her mind couldnt sleep yet...

*Rae...*

Rae: what is it nandu... she said sleepily...

*Do you think we will survive this...*

Rae: we will... nandu we will... together... she said before drifting off...

*hmmm... i hope we will... but for now, i have some house hunting to do for tomorrow...*

She thought as she drifted back to sleep...

Next morning...

Nandu woke up early in the morning with new determination to find a house...

She first searched for the two houses which the cafe boy informed her about...

Finding the first one was easy... it was a small 1 bhk flat... it looked good in the inside too...

Nandu: well, i would like to stay here for a day before saying anything... she said while the bald headed man nodded his head while wiping his sweat...

They made an agreement... she was going to stay there for the day... she then went out to search for a job... she was even motivated to do so as half of her worries were gone...

She traveled all over the place... enjoying the views... for the second time after the banishment she felt good... first was with her two new found family members... and second now...

She reached home in the evening to see the place all dark... she went near the switch board to on the light... it glowed brightly before dulling a little... she looked around and smiled in happiness... she put her hand on the wall when she felt something cold... she looked at her hand...

Nandu/Rae: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... she shouted as she took her hand and ran towards the kitchen... she turned on the light to see it fluctuating... she put her hand on the tap and turned it on... not even a drop of water...

In her frustration she hit the tap lightly hoping some water but the tap it self broke falling down...

She laughed in mockery...

Rae: na-nandu... co-co-COCKROACH!!! She screamed in nandus head while nandu let out a high pitch scream... she ran out side to breath only to cover her nose...

Nandu: yuck!!! She said...

Rae: you idiot... you need to check everything before agreeing to rent the room... stupid... idiot... she scolded her...

Nandu who was inside the house now looked up with teary eyes...

*why moon goddesses... why me...* she thought... she was actually in a dilemma whether to laugh at her situation or cry...

*blink blink

The light fluctuated wildly before going off...

*only this was left ha...*

That night nandu didnt get a wink of sleep... the bald headed man came the very morning to see the disaster...

Man: oh my god... how can you do this... he said shocking while nandu explained what happened politely while taunting him in the middle for giving her a house like this...

Man: i dont care... i want my money for the repairs... or i am going to complain to the police saying you tresspassed and broke my home... he said threatening while nandus eyes turned red for a second before turning normal... the man blinked his eyes to check whether he was dreaming or not...

Nandu: i dont care... do what ever you want... she said with an arrogance... while the bald man wiped his sweat...

Man: are you sure... you dont look like you are from here... you dont know me... i can make sure you can never enter this colony... he said while nandu rolled her eyes...

She was a wolf... she sure can lift him with her hands and throw him out right now but she didnt want to create a scene...

Nandu: i already said i dont care... she said going away when the man shouted...

Man: look, look... there is a theif here... she broke my house... she wrecked everything... catch her... he shouted while she looked at him with a bewildered expression...

She cannot believe just how shameless he could be...

Nandu: you know what... here your money... never look for me or you will regret it... she said while walking away angrily...

Rae: are you mad... why did you give him money... you could have let me out... i would have hit him black and blue... she shouted in her head...

Nandu: What else do you want me to do.... ha... i cant take this any more... you just dont understand me... i... i want to hide... i want to live a simple life... she shouted back...

Rae: I DONT UNDERSTAND... are you seriously saying this... and if you want a simple life where you are willing to be bullied then please leave me out of that... she said angrily...

Nandu sat on the bench in the park... she put both her hands on her face...

She knew she was screwed... right now she only had money that lasts for three more days... she gave away the rent... she was very much screwed...

She knew deep inside rae was right... she did wrong... she wasnt like this... then what changed...

Nandu: NOTHING... she shouted out loud... people who were near by looked at her in confusion... she being embarrassed excused herself from there... to where only she knew...

The bald man was happy... even if he didnt rent the house he got money... he was actually thinking of demolishing it and building something else when nandu came to him...

He used this opportunity to earn money... she looked naive... she shouldnt blame him as she was very gullible...

He hummed a tune as he turned around in the alley to see nandu waiting for him... he frowned before covering it up with a smile...

Nandu cracked her knuckles as she moved towards him...

He took a step back but couldn't avoid the wolf nandu... after all he was just a human...

Nandu punched him right in the face making him fall on the ground with a loud thud...

She kicked his stomach making him roll... she bent near him to make sure he was watching her...

Nandu: the money i gave, dont worry i wont take them back... use them for your treatment... and also i dont take things from people who arent worth it... she said before hitting him one last time... she walked away smirking...

Nandu: Rae... sorry na... rae... my baby... she said coaxing her while rae didnt respond to her...

Nandu: Raeeeeeeee... she shouted while there came her reply...

Rae: shut up... i am angry at you but that doesnt mean you have the permission to make me deaf... she said while nandu rolled her eyes in disbelief...

*Rae and her antics... she is so weird but still the best...* she thought...

Rae: of course i am... she said making nandu shake her head before walking towards the hotel she stayed in day before yesterday...
