Next morning.

Manik Malhotra was once again standing in front of Nandini Rathore's door with a cup of coffee in his hands when Cabir mind linked him.

'Manik! This is serious, come to the pack's dungeons right now.' He shouted while Manik frowned.

'Cabir, I can't right now. I am busy.' He replied while Cabir mentally rolled his eyes.

'Manik! Stop standing in front of her room every day. And we really have a problem here. It's about the rouge we caught when Nandini arrived. And he is a special case.' He said with worry evident in his thoughts.

Manik looked at the door which was still closed. He could hear the slow breathing of Nandini which indicated that she was asleep thanks to his wolf hearing. He mind linked a member of his pack to bring a paper, pen, a table, and a bouquet of pink roses along with Blue Hyacinths.

He sighed as he arranged the things.

'Sorry Nandini, I will be right back ok.' He whispered in his heart while our heroine was sleeping peacefully.

*RING RING

*Nandini Rathore lift the damn phone!* Ray spoke while Nandini rubbed her eyes pouting.

She looked at her phone to see 29 missed calls from Amms.

She immediately called back who answered it in the first ring itself.

"Nandini Rathore! I FOUND IT."  Amms screamed making Nandini shocked. Her soft-spoken Amms just screamed.

"Re-  Really?" She asked as she bit her nail. Her hands began to sweat in anxiety.

"Yes. And there is one case where the 17th king of Carnia had a mate. There was no chosen one. He was an exception. Maybe you are too. It was noted in the Coral family book no 18." Amms spoke immediately while Nandini hissed slightly as she bit her nail too hard that blood came out of it.

"Coral family book? That was the royal bloodline records. Amms, Is it really really true?" She asked. Tears slightly formed in her eyes.

Maybe she could really have a chance at love this time.

"Yes, my dear. Really really. Now go to him, idiot." She said chuckling while Nandini smiled widely.

"I will call you in the evening. Thank you, thank you sooo much Amms. I love you sooo much." Nandini said while Amms chuckled.

"I love you too my dear. Now go." She said while Nandini cut the call after bidding bye.

She immediately opened the door to go out when a table caught her attention.

"I am sorry Nandini, I will be right back before you know it.

                                                                              -(Soon to be) Your mate Manik."

Nandini chuckled at the note and looked at the table to see a bouquet and her morning coffee. Seeing him care for her opinion bought tears in her eyes. Actually this wasn't the first time. Since the day she was here he had been really caring.

She still remembers, no one except Aliya cared about her opinions or choices back then.

Harshad always imposed his opinions on her. She thought that was love, but now she knew it was the total opposite of that thanks to Manik.

Manik, he entered her life just 4-5 days ago but she felt a connection to him that she never felt with Harshad. Maybe it was the mate bond but he proved himself worthy all those days, every minute she spent with him was filled with his jokes, his care, and his attention which she always craved when she was with Harshad.

When she was with him, her smile was genuine. When she was with him, she didn't feel the need to be prim and proper or control her tongue.

All of a sudden, she was thankful that Harshad betrayed her. She was thankful that she wasn't his chosen one.

Being with Manik wasn't so bad, in fact she liked it. She wasn't sure about love, but she liked him.

"Where is Manik?" Nandini asked the person standing near the table who looked at her.

"You are Nandini? Hi, I am Dhruv, Gamma of this kingdom." He introduced himself bowing to her while Nandini smiled at him bowing slightly.

"Hello, between can you tell me where Manik is? It's kind of urgent." She asked once again making him chuckle.

"Yes, yes (luna) He is in his office. Come I will show it to you." He spoke muttering luna in his mind. While Nandini thanked him.

At Manik's office.

"I told you he was a special case," Cabir muttered grumpily. The rouge they caught had committed suicide before any further investigation.

"He is a special wolf. I could sense his powers. But why would they send him here? Or did he run away?" Manik asked while Cabir sighed nodding in a no.

They were interrupted by a knock. Manik said to come in.

Dhruv entered with a wide smile on his face confusing Manik.

Why is he laughing when we are having a serious conversation?

Manik thought when his gaze fell on the one who entered next.

Nandini entered the room with an embarrassed expression. She suddenly grew conscious of herself.

I am still wearing my night attire SHIT!!!

She thought, looking at her shorts and long shirt while Manik looked at her in shock.

Dhruv gestured Cabir to come out and closed the door behind him.

There was silence for a few minutes.

"Is everything alright Nandini? Why are you here so early? I was about to come to yo-" His sentence halted as he looked at Nandini's bright smile.

He was confused a little.

"Manik! Extend your hands sideways." She ordered him biting her lip for the first time maybe. He obeyed happily.

It didn't feel wrong for Nandini to order Manik like that. Maybe because it was her right to.

She ran towards him in her wolf speed as she hugged his neck jumping into his arms.

"I wanted to do this," Nandini spoke tightening her hold and inhaling his scent. Her legs were almost in the air.

*Me too...* Rae chimed in but was cruelly and bitterly ignored by Nandini.

Manik was just standing there dumbfounded with his hands in the air. All he felt was soft flesh colliding with his sturdy body then BLANK.

Nandini frowned as she didn't feel his arms around her.

She slowly loosened her grip but didn't remove her hands from his neck. She tilted her head to look at him.

Manik was just staring forward with wide eyes.

Nandini chuckled.

*How cute.* She thought as she tiptoed and kissed his cheek. This bought Manik out of his trance. He looked down to see Nandini still hugging his neck. She was way too close to him. His heart literally jumped out seeing this.

Then it clicked him.

*STUPID STUPID! Hug her back!* Ryan growled angrily. He couldn't believe Manik was soo dumb, their mate was in their arms finally and he was just standing there with a Baffon's face.

"I- Is this real? You are back?" Manik muttered in disbelief.

"You can hug me to find out," Nandini spoke slyly while Manik gave her a wide smile as he hugged her tightly. He held her waist and lifted her off the floor twilling her while Nandini held his shoulders tightly laughing at his excitement.

"Thank you, thank you for coming back to me." He said putting her down.

"No, thank you for not giving up on me," Nandini spoke caressing his cheek. Her eyes flickered with tears but her smile never left her lips.

Manik pecked her lips taking Nandini by surprise.

She blinked her eyes, once twice and thrice before blushing red while Manik chuckled at her reaction.

"You are so cute." He spoke chuckling again while Nandini pouted and removed her hands from his neck.

While Manik pulled Nandini closer by her waist.

"Awe my mate. Where are you running off to now?" He asked taking her hand in his and caressing it.

"To a safe place, away from you, beast. You stole my first kiss and that too without a warning." Nandini spoke locking her fingers with his.

"Ohhhh... So, I can kiss you if I tell you before." He concluded while Nandini blushed.

"I didn't mean like that." She spoke pouting again. He looked at her eyes for a second.

"I am kissing you now." He spoke all of a sudden and gave her a big kiss on her lips with lasted for a few seconds.

"You are soo cute. Again." He muttered as he closed her eyes and kissed her. Again and again.

Her lips are soo soft. He could get addicted to her.

"Manik! That's enough for now." Nandini covered his mouth. While Manik finally got out of his daze.

"Sorry, I got carried away. But its all your fault to look this cute." He said pinching her cheeks while Nandini blinked her eyes.

This was the first time someone called her cute, usually the use words like proper or good, beautiful, feisty, etc.

"What happened Nandini?" He asked seeing her lost.

"Nothing Manik. I just-" She sneezed when Manik finally looked at her attire.

"Why are you wearing so little?" He asked as he left her to bring the blanket in his office.

"Well I was in a hurry to meet you." She said while Manik chuckled.

"Alright come sit, I will ask someone to bring hot chocolate." He mind linked Cabir who was standing outside.

 He then made her sit on the sofa and took a seat beside her holding her hand.

"Do you feel it now?" He asked while Nandini smiled looking at their hands.

"I have always felt the bond between us. But due to some situations, I couldn't tell you." She spoke tightening her hold on his hand.

"What situations?" He asked probing to know more about her.

"That-" Nandini trailed off slightly not sure where to start or how to tell him.

"It's ok Nandini, you can tell me when you want to." He spoke caressing her hair.

Nandini looked at him with a slight smile.

"Now don't make that face, it makes me want to kiss you again." He spoke pouting while Nandini giggled.

"Awe." She cooed as she gave a kiss on his lips.

"Manik did you see Nandini- oops sorry sorry." The door opened revealing Navya who looked at the duo who were kissing each other just a moment before. Nandini immediately backed out trying to shrink into the seat.

She raised her brow with a smirk.

"Ok will some one tell me what's happening?" She asked folding her hands.

"That... Navu-"

"Manik is my mate." Nandini spoke interrupting Manik peeking out of the blanket to see Navya and Manik smiling.

"Aha I knew it." She spoke clapping her hand loudly.

"Cabir!" Manik exclaimed with a I-knew-it-that-idiot-can't-shut-his-mouth face. No one except Cabir and Dhruv knew about this.

"Cabir didn't say anything, I guessed it." She spoke with a smirk while Manik rolled his eyes.

"Although I really want to leave you two love birds alone. Inaya is going rampage not finding Nandini in her room." Navya spoke the reason she came here while Nandini widened her eyes.

"Shit! Manik I will meet you later." She spoke standing up and running towards the room in wolf speed.

"Did I just get dumped for a human girl by my mate?" Manik muttered in disbelief seeing Nandini vanish in a minute.

"Don't worry bro, you still have a lot to see." She muttered with a pitiful gaze looking at Manik.

Ok guys I need to announce something!

There are two ways the story can end.

One is the short route where manik and nandini won't face any difficulties and harshad will pay for his wrong doings.

Second is a longer route where Manik and nandini face difficulties and a new entry will be introduced to be the villian for the next half. Don't worry harshad will still pay for his wrong doings.

So guys choose one. Do you want a simple happy ending or long happy ending.

I will write based on your choice so you need to tell me.
