"Careful", he shouted when Nandini was about to fall, pulling her towards him.
"What are you doin.... "Nandini for a second thought he was going to scold her instead he just held her hand.

"Néonika .. (he looked at Nandini) how long ?

"Great. Take her along with you. I have some work to finish off." Wait what work ? where was he going? Is he not coming along with us?

"No." Manik said.

"Anyway you both leave, I'll see you two soon."
"But how will you come out without me",asked Néonika.

He had his eyes completely focused on her actions the way she was explaining things moving her hand . No he was not admiring her, he was mind linking kabir.

"Yeah Kabir! No we found her. She is fine and with us. But Before I leave I need to finish up somethings,you know."

"What are you talking about man? Oh! " As Realisation dawned upon him
"No no, you are not planning to face Abhimanyu alone. You know this can be dangerous he is a powerful witch afterall . You know that."

"M, you are not taking her help you know what she wants. She does not do things for nothing don't you know her",came Kabir's panic striken voice.

"Who better than me Kabir. Anyway come outside his hideout Neonika and Nandini will see you there. Take Nandini with you and..keep her safe. "

"Uhm okk Enough now!!" He said cutting Nandini "Neonika take her with you, Kabir is coming. Once you drop her safe with Kabir come back."

Neonika gave Manik an evil smirk "As you say Alpha Manik. "
"Neonika ", Manik scowled, he did not like anyone calling him by this name and she didn't have to bring it up especially infront of her(Nandini).

"Manik", his name rolled out of Nandini's tongue as if on instinct. Manik gave her a stern look and she mumbled a sorry.

"Can I come with the two of you?"
"No,you are going with her and that's final.", Manik said leaving no room for arguments

"Ok", Nandini said meekly.
"Hey listen you cannot just leave him here when he is the who came all the way just to save you",as always zara commented.
"But he doesn't want us to stay here",I tried to argue.

"No I'm not leaving ", no sooner did zara said that we heard a loud growl.

"Zara! I thought I made myself clear that I want you to leave. Is there a problem?"

" I am not lea..." before she could even finish Manik looked up at us his eyes spitting fire. Zara didn't say anything further and we left with umm Neonika,the woman.

Its been two hours since we reached and Manik was not back yet neither was that woman.I just hope he is fine.

"Penny for your thoughts", Kabir chided

" Umm... Its nothing I just hope that they are safe."

"Ok so our lovely lady over here is worried about her mate. Isn't she? " Cabir asked sitting beside me.

"No.. I mean yeah but you see only because he is caught up in this mess because of me. And I don't want anything bad to happen to anyone of them after all this is my fault", guilt was evident in her voice.

" I didn't know Abhi was.. had bad intentions besides I didn't even tell him much about my plan of eloping. I just... " I just stopped speaking not knowing what to say.

"It's fine Nandini we all commit mistakes,
this is what makes us and thus is an integral part of our life. We should not regret them infact it is on us how much we learn from them", Kabir said trying to raise my spirits.

" But is he too angry? Is he going to punish me for running away. Of course he will, will not he? I just miss RI so much I wish she was here. "

"I cannot say he is not angry. Last few days have been a complete torture for him, he went crazy looking for you. He would break things, kill people for absolutely trivial reasons. He was... Just so... Mad? after you left".

" What's his obsession with me, it's not like he wants me or something. Why can't he... Just let me go? "

"How do you know,he doesn't? ", Kabir questioned his eyes shining bright with..hope, only if he knew the truth.

"Kabir is not it evident. I'm not sure if you know it or not but it was because of him that Abhimanyu was able to kidnap me. He was who slapped me once he found me near the mango tree", I said dejected

"What?" Kabir spat "what the freaking hell, no! he never found you. Who the hell even told you this?"

"Abhimanyu", I said still confused.
" Hey wait are not you with Abhimanyu?, oh god how did I even.... How did I even forget that? Aren't you two teeming up against Manik.
Yes, you two are!! I heard it all with my own ears. GGod!! Are you going to take me back to him!?? Yes, you are!. No... ", I said as I recalled the earlier events.

" Hey Nandini, Nandini ", I was not listening to him now
"No stay away",I shouted and started to move back.

" Nandini", Kabir held me back by my shoulders
"You need to calm down and listen to me, okay? He said while I nodded at him.

" Do you trust me?", he asked
"No" I said bluntly, looking straight into his eyes.

"Ok I understand where you are coming from. Not that I expected you to, but that was pretty...... Rude? Ok anyway.
No I'm not with Abhimanyu. Yes whatever you heard was a part of our plan, mine and M's to retrieve you.
And about M I don't know what that fuc*** told you but I was with M all the time and I know for once that such a thing never happened. Infact we never found you and why would he leave you there alone even if he did slap. Abhimanyu couldn't not have " Saved you" , he said mocking abhimanyu and air quoting the word "while M was still there. Right? "

"Yea but why would he lie? And why should I trust you? "
"Trust you heart Nandini, whatever it believes is true", there was a sincerity in his eyes that I could not deny.

I told him everything that happened in these few days and abhi had told me back then, right from how abhi and I grew up together until one day I decided to leave everything behind.

"Ok so its highly likely that you love running away",he laughed at me while I frowned back.
" Ok I was just kidding. Chill.", he gave me an amused look.

I gave him a whatever look and said " I don't know this is all just so messed up. I wish I could go back to my old life where I would still go to cafe, work and earn just enough money."

"Relax Nandini, everything will be fine it's just a matter of time before everything gets back to normal", he said air quoting the word normal.

"Tommorow you would be laughing at all that, that seems to be so troublesome now", he said smiling. He has this strange vibe that I think I'm in love with. He was such..a nice person.

"Ok I'll take your leave now, my lady. And of course if you want something you can ask the guards outside. And please don't try to run this time. The security is much tight and I'm not sure what the Alpha would do if he finds out.

I was worried about him and Zara was also ignoring me nonetheless I decided to eat something just to divert my mind.. She thinks it was all my fault , I could have tried to convince him even when she knows he wouldn't have listened to me. How can she expect me to speak infront of him when she herself was so scared of the monster.
