Chapter - 6

Location - Beach

After a while, ManBir returned with ice - creams and distributed them. Manik came and stood beside Nandini, who was sitting on the table, holding her waist. All of them started eating ice - cream using their fingers - inspired by Nandini. Manik relished her expressions as she enjoyed the ice - cream and also fed him with her finger. Nandini was licking Ice - cream and Manik was ogling at her. Nandini was well aware of his gaze on herself and was blushing all the time. She loved it when he watched her like that - his eyes full of love and reverence. Cabir was quietly observing the love birds - his staring and her blushing. He smirked evilly and said looking at Manik, bringing him out of Nandini world Yaar Manik! Tu Nandini ko aise ghoor kiun raha hai? Bola tha na maine ke tu bhi icecream lele - tab toh nahi li - ab bechari ko Nazar kiun lagaraha hai. Uske pet me dard hoga. Everyone chuckled and Manik rolled his eyes and replied Chup kar! Main ice cream ko nahi dekhraha tha. Main toh .. Cabir raised his eyebrows and said mockinglyLet me continue. Tu Nandini ko ghur raha tha hai na? Abey Romeo ! Kitna dekhega usey. Hum bore hogaye hain tum dono ko aise dekh dekh kar. Jab dekho apna kuchi - kuchi shuru kardete ho. Mujhe to darr hai kahin mujhe diabetes na hujaye tum dono ke kuchi - kuchi se. Manik sighed and riposted in his all time famous attitude with a smirk Yeh diabetes wali theory tab kaha gayab hoti hai jab tu Navya ke saath hota hai haan? Bada aya mujhey bolne wala. He then turned towards Nandini and pulled her closer gripping her waist and continued And its not my fault completely. She is so beautiful that I can't seem to take my eyes off her. Nandini looked at him from under her lashes and smiled shyly. Cabir raised his hands in defeat and said Okay fine! I give up. Per ab tum dono phirse shuru mat hojana. Yahan per bohot sari nazrein hain humpe. And some girls just can't stop themselves from clicking our photos. Nandini freed herself from Manik's hold, still blushing and Manik too straightened himself as sparing a private moment between him and Nandini to the public was the last thing he wanted.

Cabir then looked around the beach and told Nandini Waise Nandini! Iss Manik se pyaar karke tumne apne kitne dushman paida karliye tumhe pata hai. Har fangirl tumhe jealousy aur hatred wali aankhon se dekhti hain. Tumhe bura nahi lagta? Nandini smiled and rejoinder-ed Ismein bura lagne wali kya baat hai Cabir - Unlog ke jalne se ya mujhe hate karne se kya farq padta hai. And its a unqiue feeling for me. Jisko saari duniya pana chahti hai, woh mera hai. And if being with him makes the world my enemy - I don't mind - because his love is all worth it. She finished and looked at Manik devotingly. He smiled affectionately and dropped a kiss on her temple. Cabir was impressed by her thoughts and praised her.

Chucking the talks, they decided to take a walk on the beach and have some fun. They went near water and started playing with it, splashing water and dipping each other in water and clicking pictures. Their Fans were dying to capture the pictures but Cabir politely requested them not to, as it was a family moment and they din't want it to become public. After having an ebullient and mirthful time playing and reveling with each other, they decided to have lunch in a nearby hotel. After finishing their lunch, they moved into the villa and retired to their rooms to take a short Nap, before gathering for a bonfire that Nandini had arranged for the night.

Once in room, MaNan got freshened up and lay down on the bed in each other's arms with Nandini lying over him resting her head on his chest. Manik was telling her about something when she remembered about the ice cream incident with the children and about the kiss that he owes her. She hurriedly sat on him and without giving him a chance, leaned down and kissed him, sucking his lips slowly with all the love she had for him. He was shocked at first but reciprocated back. The kiss grew passionate and Manik flipped their positions while kissing her and supped them harder and she requited back with equal fervor. They broke the kiss and Manik looked at her questioningly and she replied You forgot? You owed me this. He recalled her words and smiled. He pecked on her lips and upturned themselves - getting back to their earlier posture. Manik was stroking her hair lightly while talking and she was silently listening to him and doodling on his chest.

The beach incident of Manik helping the children was continuously playing in her head. She raised her head and brought it closer to his face and rested her forehead on his and hushed him by placing her finger on his lips. He was confounded by her sudden incongruous move and proximity. She looked at him racily and said mellifluently Sometimes you talk too much Manik. And then she softly massaged his cheeks with her hand. He simpered and asked pulling her close And what do you think you are doing Nandini? She lightly kissed his cheek and answered kittenishly Can't you see? I am loving my husband. He was well aware why she was doing so. He knew she was touched by what he had done for those children and he also knew that she wasn't asking for it and only wanted to cuddle him - and he was more than ready for it. He softly tugged the strands of hair, that were falling on her face, behind her ear and replied Ohh! So baby wants to cuddle Papa? She made a cute pouty face and answered in a hmm, and busied herself in playing with his hair and tracing his features with her delicate fingers - smiling constantly and humming a tune in her sugary voice - her eyes sparkling with the love she had for him. He caressed her hair lightly, gawping at her serene face, rendering himself to her and relishing her innocent gestures and captivating them in his heart. Only her presence was enough to fill his heart with calmness and gaiety - she din't need to talk or do anything. She leaned closer to his lips and kissed them ever so softly and said tenderly I Love You Manik. He kissed her back with equal affection and replied I Love you too sweetheart.

She smiled and said peering out through the glass wall Manik lets go out in the garden. The weather is so pleasant and tranquil. He swiftly upended their position and replied after pecking on her lips Okay! But on one condition. I will lift you in my arms and take you because i don't want to break this propinquity with you. She nodded and babyishly opened her arms, satisfying his condition. He effortlessly picked her up in his arms and started rambling towards the garden. The garden was to the right side of the Villa - small but green and beautifully verdured. A narrow passage from the hall led to a door which opened into the garden. As soon as they reached the passage, it started drizzling and before Nandini could ask for going out in the garden, Manik spoke in a stating toneWe are not going out and getting drenched in the rain. You fall sick forthwith and I don't think you want to spoil this trip by catching cold. So no arguments. Okay? She thought of insisting but decided against as she din't want to take the risk of getting ill and ruining the trip. She looked at him despondently and replied Okaye! But please can we just sit here? I don't want to go inside. She made a pleading face that he can never resist. He smiled and answered Okay princess! Your wish is my command. She grinned widely and pecked on his cheek.

He sat down near the door, taking the support of the wall and stamped his feet on the opposite wall, raising his legs above and parallel to the ground and made Nandini sit on them. She leaned down a little and asked him to sing a song for her and he happily agreed. He tangled their fingers and started crooning her favorite song:

By the time the rainfall halted. Manik advanced to kiss her but she naughtily escaped and ran into the garden. Manik seized her after chasing her for a long time as she sprinted across the garden. He twirled her in the air, holding her waist from back - both of them rejoicing and laughing cheerfully.

Teri muskurahatein hain taaqat meri

Mujhko inhi se ummeed mili

( He admired her laugh and sang )

Chaahe kare koi sitam ye jahaan

Inme hi hai sadaa hifaazat meri

( He hugged her and kissed her head )

Zindagani badi khoobsurat hui

( He broke the hug and lightly pecked on her lips )

( He carried her on his back to the swing and lay on it with Nandini in his lap )

( He placed his hand on her heart and lightly patted on it )

( He entwined their fingers and cuddled her closer )

( She hugged him tightly nuzzling her face in the crook of his neck )

He felt her breathing steadied and looked at her to find her sleeping peacefully. He smiled and kissed her palm and then keeping it on his heart, closed his eyes for a short nap.

It was evening and everybody woke up except MaNan. Fab - 4 decided to go and wake them up. They went to their room and knocked but no one opened the door. They pushed the door a little to find it open and Mukti sneaked in to see before barging in, not wanting to embarrass them if they were having any private moment. She peeped in and saw the room empty and pushed open the door. They searched for them in the room but couldn't find them. After foraging the Villa, they decided to check outside and moved towards the garden area. They saw them snoozing like babies, snuggling and cocooned in each other's arms. They awed over them and Cabir quickly ran to get the camera and capture this cute moment. Manik woke up with the flash and saw Fab - 4 standing in front with a smile plastered on their faces. He stirred a little which roused Nandini. She opened her eyes to find Fab - 4 staring at them. She instantly tried to get up and free herself from Manik's hold but he tightened his grip and asked Where are you going? She signaled her eyes in the direction of fab 5 and said smugly Manik sab hain. Chodo mujhe. He firmed his hold on her and replied Sab hain to? Husband hoon tumhara and its normal to sleep like this. You don't need to move. She blushed and Fab - 4 silently giggled. Mukti feigned a cough which broke their eye-lock and said Sorry Love birds for disturbing your sleep but its late evening and its time for dinner. So wake up. Manik swiftly straightened up, scooped Nandini in his arms and said No Mukti. Why are you saying sorry? Accha hua tumlog ne jaga diya. Pata nahi itni gehri neend kaise laggayi. Tumlog thodi wait karo, humlog abhi atey hain. Phir saath me dinner ke liye chalenge. Everybody nodded and Manik moved towards their room with Nandini in his arms. Manik then looked at Nandini who was blushing hard. He brought her face close to his and said huskily If you keep blushing like this then we will have to change the plan of going out and have to stay back in the room. Saying this he bit her cheeks. She hit him playfully on his chest and moved to get freshened up after giving him a peck on his lips.

They came out of their room and joined others and then they all moved to have the dinner. They were having the dinner when the manager came and informed them that there was a party the next night as the Resort has completed 10 years and told that they were invited. The Manager requested and they agreed to attend the Party. After completing the dinner, they moved to the garden area where the bonfire was setup. There were mats laid down on the grass around the bonfire. They all sat on the mats, covering their bodies with shawls as it was a cold winter night. MaNan were sitting close, wrapped in a single shawl, sharing it, with Nandini ensconced in Manik's lap. Aliya suggested playing a game and everybody agreed. The game would be like, they would start clock - wise, starting from Aliya. Whoever is sitting opposite to the person will ask a question or give a task to you and You have to complete it. They started the game and it was Nandini opposite Aliya. She decided to give her a dare and asked her to propose Dhruv in a full filmy style. She agreed and completed her task successfully. Dhruv gave a hug to Nandini for sparing him this moment. Next to Aliya was Mukti and she had Manik sitting opposite her. He knew she would like a dare and asked her to dance on a romantic song. She cribbed first as romantic dance was not at all her cup of tea but when Dhruv offered help, she agreed to do it. It was awkward but everybody enjoyed it.

Next was Dhruv and he had Cabir opposite to him. Cabir, as a matter of fact, gave him a dare asking him to take a dip in the water. Aliya and Nandini argued that he would catch cold but Cabir was adamant. Seeing no sign of escape, Dhruv took a dip and directly ran to his room to get changed. Next was Cabir, and he had, ofcourse, Dhruv opposite to him. Dhruv took the opportunity and asked him to do the same - i.e., take a dip in the pool. He hesitated but completed the task and ran inside to change. Everybody laughed heartily and continued the game. It was Manik's turn and he had Mukti facing him. Mukti evilly smirked and dared Manik to do 50 push - ups with Nandini on his back. MaNan looked at each other and tee-heed listening to the dare. Seeing them giggle, Dhruv enquired the reason and Nandini answered This dare is a part of our daily routine Mukti. He makes me sit on him while he is doing push - ups during daily workout. Mukti made a baby face and Cabir exclaimedYaar Mukti! Koi itna asaan dare deta hai kya? Mukti made a pout and repliedAb mujhe kya pata tha ke yeh dono pushups ke time b romance karte hain. Anyways I will change the dare. But Aliya stopped her saying No Mukti. We cant change the dare. Once given its given. Mukti sighed in defeat and asked Manik to complete the given dare. He quickly took the position and made Nandini sit on his back and started doing push - ups easily as if there was nothing on his back. Dhruv observing this saidBuddy tu toh itni asaani se karraha hai jaise tere upar kuch weight hi nahi hai. Manik and Nandini both smiled and then Manik said friskly Buddy tujhe nahi pata babies ka weight kitna kam hota hai.? Nandini bhi toh baby hi hai. She doesnt weigh more than a flower. Nandini just shook her head at his answer while others chuckled and teased her. He quickly completed the pushups and again took her in his lap and settled.

Now it was Nandini at the last and it was Aliya's turn. Aliya decided to ask her a question and said Okay Nandini! We all know that you both love each other a lot. But every lovestory has a beginning. So now you tell us when was the first time you started feeling for him and when did you confessed it to yourself? And also express your love to him by singing a melody. Everybody including Manik got excited to hear her answer as he knew that she loved him but never asked her this question. Everybody looked at her anticipatingly and after stealing a glance at him, Nandini started Actually Aliya even I don't know, when exactly I fell in Love with him. It was a gradual process. When on the inter band competition, Manik missed his performance to help Rishabh - that gesture created a soft corner for him in my heart. Then when I got drunk and he safely dropped me home, despite our differences, I started respecting him and he had my trust. And I never said it to him, but on the Diwali Night - when he told me about his feelings and the effect that I have on him - I instantly fell in love with him. Though I never confessed it to myself but I knew it was something more than genuine affection and now I know what it was. And then followed a lot of events, and on the day when he asked me out for the first time - I was standing there waiting for him, when Khurana came and threatened me go away from his life - that moment I discerned and admitted it to myself that I Love Him. Even the thought of leaving him made my soul tremble and I realized how important he had become in my life. Since that day, till today - I fall for him a bit more daily and his some gestures make me fall for him all over again. You guys know about the firefly theory right? You know .. When I was coming to Mumbai from Mangalore - we had booked a flight. But just because fireflies were not allowed, we took the bus. I happened to collide with him on the way and he saved my jar from falling. While he was handing me the jar, our hands touched and my fireflies started glowing. Albeit we never saw each other, but I had faith that he is the one and I will surely meet him someday. And see I was correct. Here I am .. Sitting in his arms, owning all the love he has in his heart. He gave me everything that destiny snatched from me. He loved me like a mother and protected me like a father. I see them in him."

She looked at him and continued I know I never expressed in words how much I Love You and you know why? Because no set of words can describe what I feel for you Manik. You have no idea what you are to me. I Love You beyond infinity and more if it exists. Your sadness is my failure and one drop of tear from your eyes is enough to question my existence. You are the most beautiful person the God had ever created. I myself don't know how much I love you, but I am sure that even the given seven lifetimes are not enough for it. I don't want the world's happiness but you. You are more dearer to me than my life. For once I would be alive without air, but I would die the next second without you. I really really Love you Manik. Even a million thanks to God are not enough for the favor he had done on me by writing you in my destiny. I Love you like no one have ever loved anyone. I Love You so much. And If i have to convey my emotions in a song then these lines will help me -

She was sobbing by now and she opened her eyes to see Manik too crying. As soon as she finished Manik yanked her in a bone crashing hug and said, still weepingI Love You too Nandini. I Love You too. I never thought anyone could love me to this extent. Thank You soo much for coming into my life. They hugged each other and wept like children. Nandini then broke the hug and wiped his tears and said I am sorry I made you cry.Manik too mopped her tears and repliedDon't be sorry. In fact I Thank You for telling me how much you love me. Only you. They shared an eye-lock then realized they were not alone. Nandini turned and looked around to find everyone sniveling and gazing at them. Nandini then apologized cheekilySorry Guys! I just flowed with emotions.

Everyone just came running and sprung on them together sharing a group hug. The all time jolly Cabir too got emotional and said You made us cry with your words Nandini. So much Love for him. I bet, no one in this world can love him more than you do. I always saw him craving for Love and I am very very happy he got you. Today I promise you Nandini, any problem have to deal with us before reaching you both. Its a Fab - 4 promise. What say guys? Everyone agreed happily and then Cabir side hugged Nandini and said This is a promise of a brother to his sister. Until I am alive, I promise no harm will reach you both. She thanked and hugged him. Everyone smiled at the brother - sister bonding and adored it.
