Wednesday morning

"Nandu..it's high time you should tell him about that!!" Sanaya said to Nandini who was getting ready to go to office

Nandini: Tu pagal hai..main nahi bataoungi..he behaves rude with me na so..i decided ke i will not tell him

Sanaya: But one day he will come to know about it right so it's better if you only tell him

"Nahi..! Sanaya let's just not talk about it please.." Nandini said in a sad tone and soon she started crying

Sanaya: Nandu!! What happen?"

"Woh..woh..na..app..appa!!" Nandini said while sobbing

Sanaya: Don't cry Nandu..you are a strong girl na..shh..bas karo" Sanaya said while hugging her "Acha now..wipe your tears..appa will no be happy seeing you crying like this.. smile come on.."

Nandini gave a faint smile but Sanaya knew that deep inside she was broken!!

Office..
Nandini's cabin

"Hi..!" Barun came to her cabin

"Hi.." Nandini said without looking at him

Barun: umm..how are you feeling?

"Much better!" Nandini replied looking downwards

"Don't worry. I will not talk rudely with you..Manik told me not to!" Barun said and Nandini looked at him

"Vaise..aisa kya jadoo kiya hai tumne uspe that he can't even listen a single word against you! You deceived him but phir bhi he stands by you"

"I didn't do anything and for your kind information I didn't deceived Manik!" Nandini said coldly

Barun: Wow..relax haan. Tum aise Manik se baat kar sakti ho but not with me! I am not going to tolerate that!

Nandini: And even you don't have the right to ask me about my personal matters!

Barun: Okay..done! Aj se..only work ki baat karenge..nothing more..ye tum aur main..friends all over okay!

Nandini: Woh tou tab hi over ho gaya tha Mr Barun Birla jab tumne.. god forget it..I don't wanna fight..

"Haan even I don't want to..i just came to ask about your health" He said and left

Phone conversation..Nandini was talking to Sanaya

Nandini: Sanaya..I'm okay now..thank you for your support agar tum aur mamma nahi hoti na tou..

Sanaya: Tou kya? Tabhi you would be strong because my Nandu is a very strong girl..hai na

Nandini smiled: Yeah..

Just then Manik entered her cabin as he came to ask about her health..

Sanaya: Nandu..be strong okay..and always remember that I will always be by your side..I love you sweetie..

"Thank you..! I love you too.." Nandini said smiling and here Manik was fuming as he thought that she was talking to Akhil. Oh, oh.. He misunderstood it! Damn these.. Misunderstandings

"Mrs Kapoor!!!!" Manik shouted and Nandini startled.

"I'll talk to you later..bye.." Nandini disconnected the call and looked at Manik "Ye..yes Manik.."

Manik angry tone: How many times I have to tell you that..Its 'SIR' okay!!

Nandini: Hmm

Manik: What hmm?? Come in my cabin right now!!

Nandini: Now?!

"Yes Mrs Kapoor..Now!!" Manik said and left

Manik: Here are the files..check them properly..every fault must be corrected okay!

"Ye sab?!! But how will I complete this work in just 1 day??!!" Nandini said

"You come here to work right..then concentrate on your work rather than having lovey dovey conversation with your..whatever.." Manik said sternly

Nandini confused: Hun? lovey dovey? What?

Manik: Yess! You should complete this work today only!! This is your punishment.. no more arguments..

Nandini: But maine kya kiya? Why are you giving me such punishment??

Manik: You very clearly know about what i am talking!! You were having conversation with your..

Nandini: I don't know sir..what are you talking about? Conversation? Yes i was talking to my friend.. but it's not a reason to give me punishment!"

Manik: Mere office mein ye sab nahi chalta okay! You have to complete this work!

Nandini: Okay..main ghar jaake complete kar dungi..

Manik: No! I want you to do this here in office only..

Nandini: Office mein?! Lekin..ye complete karte karte toh raat ho jayegi..! I mean..what if..

"What if..? Kya..? Listen..just take these files and start your work..you don't have that much of time..! So get back to work Mrs Kapoor.." He said and she took the files and went to her cabin

Nandini: Ayyiioo aiiyappa phir se monster side!! Phir se Mrs Kapoor!! When I wasn't fine then he was caring so much for me and now what happen to him today? He didn't even ask about my health..!! Monster! Ab how will I complete this?? Woh bhi aaj hi..why can't he understand that I am not a robot.. jo ek hi din mein ye sab files check karlungi..and office mein!! He very well knows it ke how much I scared being alone.. lekin nahi he has to show his monster side na..God please light ko mat jaane dena..i'm scared of darkness..aiiyappa I will complete this on time na? I will not be late na?? Uff..Forget this Nandu..you have to finish this on time..chal kaam pe lag ja.!

"Now what happen?? Suddenly Nandini se Mrs Kapoor kyun?!! And you gave her so much work dude..!" Barun asked Manik who was doing some work in his laptop

Manik: Barun..dekh mood kharab hai mera..just don't speak okay.."

"Hmm..you only told me that you can't listen a word against her..and now you gave her so much work! ek hi din mein..will she be able complete it? I mean if i was in her place tou I would have never complete checking so many files in just one day!" Barun said with a smirk.."What happen? Do you guys had a discussion about your personal matters? About her family?...her..husband..

"Shut up! Don't speak about her husband!! I said mera mood kharab hai!! Mood ko aur kharab mat kar!!" Manik said angrily as he stood up from his chair

Barun: Hmm..now i'm absolutely sure ke kuch to hua hai..kuch ho gaya hai..!! Okay now serious..tell me yaar..won't you share with me..? I'm your buddy Manik..!

"Nahi yaar..kuch nahi..i just want to be alone so.. and Nandini is my P.A she comes here to work..and she has to complete the work!! No matter how much time it will take her but she has to!!" Manik said sternly

Barun: Haan..but ek hi din mein?! kuch zyada toh nahi hogaya?? I mean you gave her that much of work..don't you think that will affect her health?

Manik was listening to him but that 'Conversation thing' was not getting out of his head..he was damn furious as he heard Nandini saying 'I Love You' to Akhil he didn't have any idea that Nandini said this line to Sanaya not Akhil!

Manik: "I just don't care!! She has to complete the  work! Barun..can you leave me alone for some time.."

"Yeah..okay..!" Barun left

Manik pov: Arrgggrhhh..why..why i'm feeling like this?!!! He is her husband..she has the right to tell him that..but i just can't get out that line out of my head that she said to..him..!! yeah she was little afraid when i told her to do the work in office..I gave her too much work..! I remember that time..how much scared she was!

Flashback

Manik was playing music in his room..he was being restless..it has been 2 days since they had a fight and they didn't have a proper conversation after their fight..

Manik pov: Since our fight..we didn't have any conversation..I just don't know why we fought that day..we had a fight just beacause of Sanjana? I mean she is a nice girl..why did Nandini overreact? Is that because she can't see me with another girl? was she jealous?? Means she has feelings for me!! If it is so then why she didn't tell me?!! I so want to talk to her..she didn't come to college..her ankle must be okay by now..God now decided I will talk to her tomorrow!! Yeah..I will tell her about my feelings..I can't stay without her!!

Suddenly the light went off..

Manik: Arre what happen to this light now..arggrhh..

Manik kept his guitar..took his phone and called the manager of the flat

Manik: Hello.. there has there been a power cut here..it's flat no.19 ..could you..

Manager: We are very sorry sir..actually there has been some technical problems..there has been a power cut in every flat..we are fixing it..sorry for the inconvenience

"Yeah..okay..fix it asap.." Manik said and cut the call when he realised something..

"Nandini!!...she is scared of darkness! Abhi appa bhi ghar par nahi honge.! Damn!! I have to check her.." Manik said and quickly rushed to her flat

"Nandini..!??" Manik entered inside as the door was already open..seems like she knew that he will come to check on her "Nandini...?? Where are you..?"

"Ma..Manik..!" Nandini said..she was sitting next to the door..hugging her knees to her chest

"Nandini!!" Manik kneeled beside her and immediatly hugged her very close to him.."Tum yahan par kyun baithi ho..? you could have called me right..!

"Manik..appa has no..not return yet..i was go..ing to come to yo..you..bahar dekha tou..it was all dark..and i was..i was scared Manik..I kne..knew ke tum aaoge..that's why i..i left the door open for you..Manik i was so sca..scared!!" Nandini said while sobbing

"Shhh....I am here..with you! Don't be scared..bas..relax Nandu..shh.." Manik said hugging her more tighter

After 2 minutes Nandini broke the hug

"You are very bad..tu..tum mujhe akela chod ke chale gaye the na..then go..you wanted to go away from me na..you wanted peace na..yahan rehkar tumhara head pain karta hai na then go..go back Manik" Nandini said hitting his chest and Manik smiled at her antics..he tried to stop her but she was not ready to stop..her tears were not stopping..he held her both arms and pulled her closer to him

"Nandini..! tumhai pata hai why I got angry when i got to know that you were faking..it is just because yeh faking and all tumpe suit nahi karta..you are different from other girls..You are a simple girl but you are the best! I want you to remain like this only..never change Nandini..tum jaisi bhi ho..I like you the way you are! And yeah i wanted peace..and my peace is being with you!" Manik said and this made Nandini smiled..It was dark but Nandini wasn't scared anymore as her Manik was close to her..giving her light..

Manik: Do you want me to leave you now? ..main jaoun..? Okay.." Manik was about to get up but Nandini stopped him

"Manik..! Please don't leave me..!" Nandini said..she crashed in his arms and the light came..

"Ahh..finally..dekho light bhi aa gayi.." Manik said and looked at a crying Nandu "Relax baba..I'm not gonna leave you Nandini..never ever!

Nandini: What if you do??

Manik: Don't you trust me?

Nandini: Manik I trust you but..I'm scared!! Kahiin mujhse koi aur achi ladkii mil gayi tumhai tou..? I mean if you find a better friend kya tum..mujhe chod doge??

Manik pov: God..kya karoon main iss ladki ka..her insecurities..!! I have to do something to assure her that I am not going to leave her!!

Nandini: Hmm..you don't have any answer right?! I know..one day you will leave me..

"Nandini..shhh!!" Manik said as he put a finger to her lips to shush her "Aisa kabhi nahi hoga..!" He cupped her face within his hands..softly asking her to trust him.."Tumse zyada achi friend mujhe mil hi nahi sakta Nandini..you are the world best girl you know that!" she looked deeply in his eyes..she closed her eyes as he placed his lips on her forehead..it was the first time Manik kissed her..First kiss on forehead! A kiss of assurance that he will never leave her..

A real man never stops trying to show his girl how much he cares, even if he already has her.
