"N..no..I'm..I'm no..not gussa..! Nandini replied as she felt Manik hands reaching towards her waist!

"Si-sir wha-what are yo..you doing?!" Nandini whispered

"Wohi jo karna chahiye!" Manik replied coming closer to her

"Ky-kya ka..karna chahiye?!!" Nandini stammered

"Shhh...." Manik came more closer

Seeing Manik hands reaching towards her waist Nandini shut her eyes!
Manik smirked. Instead of touching her waist, he moved his hands towards the table which was behind Nandini and he just took the remote control of the AC

"Okay done!" Nandini instantly opened her eyes. Manik had a serious expression while Nandini gave him a confused look

"What happen? Why did you shut your eyes? I was just taking this remote from that table which is behind you!" Manik said showing her the remote and then to that table..

"Remote..?" She asked, still confused

"Yeah! remote control, you know. But wait! what were you thinking?" He raised his eyebrows, asking her to answer

"No..nothing.." Nandini replied, moving her gaze here and there

"Ohh..now I understand. You thought ke I'll touch you?" Nandini eyes widened. How did he get to know that she was thinking that only?

"No..!!" Nandini gave a quick answer

"Yess..! tumhe laga ke I'll touch you and pull you very close to me and then kiss..."

Nandini felt awkward. That was really embarrassing for her.

"If you were thinking all of this to happen then you're highly mistaken okay! I was just taking this remote! You're gussa na tou I have turned on the AC so that to cool you down!" Manik said wearing his famous smirk

Nandini become angry once again listening to that "GUSSA" word..

"But when did I say ke main gussa hoon?" Nandini said in an angry tone

"You're still..!

"No..I'm not!"

"Yes..!"

"No!" Nandini kept arguing

"You are okay! end of discussion..go back to your work.."

"Listen sir..you can't always have your ways okay!"

"So now you're going to tell me what to do and what to not huh?" Nandini just glared at him. Manik was just rising her temper.

"Fine I'm going..!" Nandini said. She didn't want to argue more. She turned to leave..

"Mrs Kapoor!.." Manik called her and she turned to him "Don't forget to turn on the AC of your cabin okay! This AC didn't worked actually but yours will definitely cool you down!"

Nandini went giving a deadly glare to Manik

"God!! She's still the same!!" Manik chuckled. He so loved to irritate her

Nandini's pov

Aiiyoo Aiyappaa!! He's still the same!! He just love to tease me, irritate me!! but jo usne kaha sach hi kaha na..I was thinking that only!

Nanduu..what's happening to you?? Mmmm....haan..Sanaya! I'll call her! No..! Woh tou apne kisi relative ko milne gayi hai..I should not disturb her..tou kya karoon?? Nandini..you're here to work right!! So work!! Stop thinking..!

The day passed on..It was 8:45 pm already and all the staffs had gone..

Manik's cabin

"Let's go.." Manik said while standing up from the chair

"Where? home ?!" Nandini wanted to go home

"No..! God!! the meeting is now going to start and tumhe ghar jaana hai..? Seriously! Why are you being so desperate Mrs Kapoor??"

"Arre..but you said na 'let's go'.."

"You have brain na then why don't you use that! I said 'let's go' means conference room mein chalo.."

"It's not my fault! You only said 'let's go' ! You didn't complete your sentence! that can be having many meanings like 'let's go to club or let's go to play'" Nandini and her common sense!

"Wow..so intelligent you are!" Manik clapped his hands

"Bachpan se.." She smiled

"Shut up now, let's go to the conference room." Manik walked foward, Nandini made a grumpy face.

Mr Patel was waiting for Manik in the conference room..there were his staffs members also..

"Good evening Mr Patel!" Manik greeted him

"Good evening Mr Malhotra and.." Mr Patel looked at Nandini and raised his eyebrows, clearly asking her name

"Umm..she's Nandini..Nandini Kapoor..my P.A" Manik features Nandini to say him 'a hello'

"Good evening Mr Patel" Nandini smiled at him

"Hmm..good evening! He forward his hand to Nandini and they shook their hands..

The meeting started and it went on really well..after 1hr it ended..Mr Patel bid bye to Manik and Nandini..

"God..! I'm too tired" He stretched his arms. "Let's go now.."

"Umm..where?" Nandini asked.

"Home! You wanted to go home right? Ya phir yehi rehna hai?!"

"No..I want to go..! And you don't need to worry..I have my car.. I can go.."

"I didn't asked you if you can go or not.."

"I know..but you seems worried na tou I thought ke.."

"Listen Mrs Kapoor..I'm thinking about the meeting okay! Keep your thoughts to yourself!" Nandini just nodded sadly. So rude of Manik! Soon both left the office.

"Mom..please bring me a cup of black coffee" Manik said sitting on the sofa..his head on Nyonika's lap

"Abhi coffee?!" She asked in a sweet tone

"Hmm.." Manu just hummed

"Tired? How was the meeting?"

"It went quite well..I just hope to get the deal!" Manik said with a faint smile

"Something bothering you?" Nyonika was concern for him.

"No mom.."

"Don't lie..I'm your mom. C'mon tell me, what's the matter?

"Nothing mom! Ok goodnight! I'm going to bed..! He ignored her question

"But coffee..?"

"Not in mood now.."

"Now I'm pretty sure something is bothering you..nahi batana chahta hai thik hai mat bata.." Nyonika said turning her face to the other side

"Momm..! Arre baba sachi kuch baat nahi hai..it's just that my head is paining a little..so I'm going to sleep.." Manik said while kissing her forehead

"Okay..goodnight!" She said smilingly

Nyonika's pov

Manik..I'm your mom. I know you're lying..I know you're upset! And I know the reason is..

"Nandini"

I know you have not forgotten her yet Manik! I know you still..you still think about her!

Manik was on the terrace..he was standing..breathing cool air..

"Nandini.." Manik said looking at the stars.."It was you who made me believe in love. I thought you were mine! But no. I was wrong! I still remember, you promised me that you'll be by my side forever and today you're not with me. I hate you Nandini..! Why did you break your promise Nandini, why? I promised you that I'll make everything perfect then why you left me Nandini?
Aaj kal kisi kaam mein mann nahi lagta. Wherever I go, whatever I do, in my every dreams, in everything, I see you only..! Bas tum dikhai deti ho! I feel you only..yes! I still can't get over you. I tried, I tried to forget you but I failed! I still think about you and I hate myself for that! Today I'm the owner of Malhotra Industries! And you, how can you easily moved on..? My fate is playing with me. Perhaps there's no happiness in my fate.."

Manik laughs a little.. "I'm sure you must be living your life happily with your family, Nandini. Ab dekho.. sab mil gaye.., aage barr gaye. Bas main reh gaya. Akela....!" He closed his eyes and let tears of grief slide down his cheeks..
