Chapter 27-  Jealously is just a sign that you really love the person..

"Hello..yeah, Manik Malhotra here. What?!!!" Manik shouted as he stood up from the bed, panic was clearly visible on his face and this made Nandini tensed.

"Okay, I'm coming." He cut the call

"Manik what happened?" Nandini asked as she held the duvet close to her chest

"Nandini, Shraddha..she had an accident!" Manik was panicked

"What!! But How??!" Nandini became worried

"I really don't know! Nandini I have to rush at city hospital right now..!" He quickly took out his clothes and went to the washroom to change

"Aiyappa! Please, I just hope she's fine!" Nandini prayed. Few minutes after, Manik came out.

"Nandini, I'm leaving." Manik said as he came out.

"Manik..I'll come with you"

"No., it's okay. I'll go." Manik was about to leave

"Manik..do give me a call when you reach there, okay ." Nandini said and Manik nodded. He left for hospital.

"Mom..I think we should go to hospital, Manik is not picking my calls." Nandini said worriedly. It's been 1 hour since Manik left for hospital. Nyonika and Nandini were waiting for them.

"Okay. Let's go" Both walked towards the door, Nandini opened it and found Manik! With Shraddha in his arms! She was unconscious or perhaps sleeping.

"Oh my God Shraddha..!" Nyonika said loudly as she saw her. Shraddha had a bandage around her head

"Mom shh! She's fine! She's sleeping!" He said lowly as he entered inside. He went to Shraddha's room and placed her on the bed. He closed the door and saw Nyonika and Nandini standing with a worried expression

"Manik, Shraddha is fine na??" Nandini asked

"Yes..woh actually, all is okay but due to the accident, her right leg is injured, she can't walk properly for few days.."

"God Manik..we have to take good care of her" Nyonika was equally worried about her.

"Yeah.." Manik looked at Nandini. She was dressed in her night pajama, looking cute.

"But accident hua kaise?? And you weren't picking my calls Manik..you know how much worried I was!" Nandini said, she was worried for Manik! She loves him afterall.

"My phone was on silent Nandini. And about that accident you, the brakes of the car, was damaged so..."

"Thank God! Nothing is serious." Nyonika prayed.

"Umm mom, I think we should cancel the reception party. Shraddha is not well and Nandini, you don't mind na?" Manik asked

"No. It's okay." Nandini smiled "Shraddha's health is more important."

"Okay now let's go to sleep, tum dono bhi tired hoge na." Nyonika asked them to go to their bedroom to take rest. Both nodded and went to their room

"Nandu..are you angry with me?" Manik said as he settled on the bed, next to Nandini

"Why would I be angry with you?" She gave him a confuse look as she turned to his side.

"Woh..I cancel our reception party and I just left. Our night..you know what I mean.." He said looking in her eyes

Nandini slided close to him and Manik wrapped his arms around her.

"Shraddha was important as well na. Even her parents are not here with her, so her only support can be her friend only, whom she trust. That is you! So it's okay..! " Nandini really had a big heart though.

"Thank you." Manik kissed her forehead. She looked up to his face

"For what?" She asked

"For coming in my life!" Nandini smiled and snuggled more into his chest "I love you" She mumbled, sleep was overtaking her.

"I love you more!" Lastly, she heard Manik's lovely voice and she fell asleep.

Next morning.

Manik was the first to wake up. He felt blessed, having Nandini in his arms. He carefully back off. Frown creased her forehead, she turned to the side.

Manik smiled seeing her, sleeping like a cute kid. Manik thought for a moment then decided to wake her up after he'll freshen up.

After taking a bath he came out and saw Nandini still sleeping.

"Baby.." Manik whispered as he bent down to her. He kept a rose beside her.

"Wake up, sleeping beauty.." Manik said in a sweet tone. Nandini smiled. Yes, she was in a deep sleep but still she could feel him close to her.

Manik bent down and kissed her temple

"She must be tired. I should let her sleep." He let her sleep as she slept late yesterday. He went out to check on Shraddha.

After 1 hour, Nandini woke up only to find herself alone on the bed. She noticed the rose, she took it and smiled. She looked around the room but didn't find him

"Where's Manik?" She stood up and went to washroom.

"Manik..are you inside?" She called for him but to her dismay, he wasn't there aswell.

"Umm..maybe he's downstairs," She went to the washroom, to freshen up. After coming out, she went down. She was being restless. She wanted to see him. She heard sounds from Shraddha's room. So she went there and saw Manik trying to feed the soup to Shraddha.

"Manik bas! I'm full." Shraddha covered her mouth in her palm.

"Shraddha c'mon open your mouth! Doctor said not to skip any meals! So c'mon, it's last spoon. Soup is good for health." He put the spoon in near her mouth. Shraddha gulped the soup making a grumpy face.

Nandini there, watching their scene. She smiled faintly.

"Thanks for the concern Manik" Shraddha said in a sweet tone

"Never ever say thanks to me Shraddha." Manik held her hand "You had forbidden me to tell about your accident to your parents. You will stay here till you get well. You are my responsibility. And now that you're here, at my house so I have to take care of you right! Anything for you.." Manik wiped the tears which unknowingly escaped Shraddha's eyes.

Nandini was just lost in Manik. She felt so lucky to have a husband like him, who wasn't selfish at all!

"Acha now go, I have to use the washroom. I really need to shower." Shraddha tried to stand up but couldn't because of her injured leg

Manik shook his head and lifted her in his arms.

"Manik..stop it. Put me down!" Shraddha was stuned with his act. Nandini was still standing, smiling looking at them. She knew how much caring Manik was! She was about to go when Manik answer made her stopped at her place

"Arrey, I will help you to take a shower na." Manik said, trying to tease Shraddha. Frowns creased Nandini's forehead. She turned and saw Manik proceeding to the washroom with Shraddha in her arms.

"Haw..so shameless you are! Shadi ho gayi hai and you're still flirting huh!!" She slapped her shoulder while Manik laughed

"Shadi ho gayi tou kya? Tumse flirt karna tou main chodoonga nahi!" Manik said. Nandini was feeling something! But what?? She felt like her heart is burning! Burning with what?? Jealousy?

She just left from there. She came back to the room. She noticed something wet on her cheeks. Tears! She was crying! Aww!

"Why Am I crying?! Shh Nandu! Kuch nahi hai. She's just his friend.!" Nandini tried to call herself down. She wiped her tears.

Everyone was at the breakfast table, having their breakfast. Manik was sitting beside Nandini

"Aunty..reception party ki arrangements apne kiya nahi??" Shraddha asked Nyonika

"No Shraddha, we cancelled it. You're not fine right!" Manik said while drinking the coffe

"No buddhu. I'm fine! Don't cancel it please..! Nandini bhi subha se upset hai, think about her atleast." Manik looked at Nandini, who just shook her head negatively

"I'm okay Shraddha. We can have another reception party after you get well." Nandini gave a faint smile

"Shraddha, beta rehne do ab, when you will get well then we will decide something. Abhi I'm going to inform the guests that we have cancelled it." Nyonika went to her room.

The whole day passed, Manik was taking care of Shraddha. He wasn't spending more time with Nandini.

Nandini was in her room only, she was talking to her mamma. After cutting the call, there was a knock at the door. It was Nyonika.

"Good evening Nandini" She said as she came in. She saw her pale face

"What happen? Why your face is so pale?" She asked with a concern.

"Pale? It's nothing..maybe because of tiredness" She lied. She didn't wanted Nyonika to see her tears. Yes, tears! She so wanted Manik to be with her but, he was with Shraddha

"Okay..umm Nandini this is for you. Please wear this saree in the reception party" She handed her a bag. There was the reception party of Manik & Nandini. But they cancelled it right?

"But mom..Manik is okay with it? I mean, Shraddha is not well na.."

"Yeah, abhi baat karke aayi hoon. I just thought to cancel it. Even Manik said it but Shraddha was insisting. She said she's fine. So the party will go on. I have just called the close relatives." Nyonika said smilingly

"Okay, I will wear it." She gave a faint smile. As soon Nyonika left, Nandini took the saree and went to the washroom

Nandini's Pov

"It's so pretty! But how will I wear this??" I said as I stare at the saree. It was so beautiful! But problem was that I really didn't know how to wear a saree!

"Damn you Nandini! Mom ko tou bol diya that you will wear it, ab kaise pehnogi isse haan??" I cursed myself. I thought of calling mom but..

"What will mom think? Me, being a girl, don't know how to wear a saree?!! Argh! Kahan phas gayi Nandu!!" I sighed and opened the tap of the shower.

Nandini came out of the washroom, struggling with the saree. She didn't even noticed Manik, who was sitting on the bed.

"Wow! You look different!" She startled as she heard his voice. She turned and saw him staring at her with wide eyes. Realisation hit Nandini hard! She was not fully dressed yet!

Her milkly skin was exposed to him! Manik stood up and take slow steps towards her. She started stepping backwards

"I..woh..! Actually..I was trying t-to wear the sa-saree..!" She stumbled with words. Soon she hit the wall. She was trapped between the wall and Manik!

"Is this a kind of new style to wear a saree?" Manik's husky voice! He brushed his arms on hers, making her quivered. He leaned closer to her lips. Nandini closed her eyes in anticipation. She was ready for the kiss but soon she opened her eyes as she heard Manik's laughter.

"Oh my God Nandini! Haha!! Look at you..! You look funny like this!" Manik started laughing and Nandini became hell angry

"Manik!! Agrhh!! I hate you!!" She pushed him but only to be pulled back by him

"I was just kidding." He said in a sincerely manner and Nandini looked in his eyes which carried, Passions! Desires! "You know, You're looking so hot & sexy! I just wanna..." Nandini instantly palmed his mouth. She understood what he wanted to say.

"Manik..please go. I have to wear this saree. And problem is that, I don't how to wear this.."

Manik smiled, he removed her hand from his mouth. He pulled her closer

"Let me help you."

"I don't need your help. Tum jao Shraddha ke paas, maybe she would need any.." She turned to the side,

"Shraddha? Yeah, I was just helping her."

"No! You were flirting with her! Maine dekha! You said you won't ever stop flirting with her. Plus you also said you will help her to take a...a shower." She said, looking downwards

Manik lifted her chin and gazed into her eyes which carried unshed tears!

"So..jealous?" He asked. Nandini stayed numb. "I was just teasing her Nandini. You know, we are friends and friends ke beech tou masti hoti hai na. But I didn't know that my cute si wife will get on jealous."

Nandini didn't say anything. Why? Perhaps she didn't want to start an argument.

"Were you really jealous? Tell me baby.." He asked again, he leaned closer to capture her lips but Nandini moved back

"Not now. I have to wear this." She tried to make the plates but they would turned to be either loose or in a very non uniform manner. Manik was suppressing his laughter

"Aaagrh!!" Nandini got very irritated and shouted "Manik if you wanna help me then do so, otherwise get out from the room." She made a grumpy expression

"Don't get angry Love. Wait, I'll help you." Manik came close. He hold the end firmly and then slowly entangled one of his finger with it then second and third. But again it turned to be loose.

"Manik..it's not correct!" Nandini said as she saw him making the plates

"Shh! Let me concentrate." He started with it again. Then he hold the other end and take a round. He slowly collected all the plates with his fingers. He pulled Nandini closer. She hit into his chest. She gasped as Manik put on the plates inside her tummy. He carefully placed the pallu on her shoulder.

"And it's done baby." He kissed her right cheek and turned Nandini towards the mirror.

"You look ethereal." He said, admiring her.

( Nandini's attire )

"Wow Manik..Thanks for helping me though." Nandini said as she admired herself in the mirror

"Vaise why did you decide to wear a saree? I mean you don't know how to wear it either.."

"Mom gave me this saree and asked me to wear it. I didn't want to make her feel bad so I agreed to.." She said as she turned to his side

"Now that I had help you wearing this, don't you think I should get a reward?" Manik gave her a smirk

"Reward? What reward?" She asked, making an innocent expression

"Don't act innocent, okay Mrs Malhotra." He put his hand around her waist and pulled her closer

"Manik please, I have to get ready!" Nandini protested but how can Manik let her go so easily

"Nandini, c'mon give me a kiss."

"What?!"

"Kya what? I'm asking just a kiss!" Manik said casually. Nandini didn't protested more. She slided her arms over his shoulders and then wrapped them around his neck. She leaned closer to his lips. Even she wanted him!

Their lips met, Manik pulled her more closer.

"Manik Nandini..get ready fast the guest must be coming." Hearing Nyonika's voice, they pulled apart. They smiled at each other.

Nandini went to the dressing table to get ready while Manik went to the washroom to get ready

( Manik's attire )

Soon all the guest arrived. Manik and Nandini was already downstairs. Sanaya, Barun and Koyal were also there.

MaNan cut the cake and one by one came to feed them. Every guest congratulated MaNan. They gave them blessings. Manik noticed the men eyes were on Nandini but he didn't care much as he knew Nandini was His Only!

The music started, besides MaNan, all the couple were on the dance floor including SaRun (Barun and Sanaya). Manik forwarded his hand towards Nandini. But before Nandini could place her hand on his..

"Manik!" Shraddha limped towards him. Manik instantly went towards her. His act hurt Nandini. She knew he was just caring for Shraddha but Manik had to understand that even Nandini needed him!

"Manik dance please??" Shraddha asked with a pout

"You're not able to walk properly Shraddha!" Manik didn't wanted to take any risk as her right leg was injured but Shraddha kept on insisting so Manik had to gave up.

He carefully held Shraddha close to him. Nandini felt like someone had just snatched her soul away! She was sadden. What was hurting her?

Manik pulling Shraddha close, was hurting her!

Manik hands around Shraddha's waist, was hurting her!

Their closeness, was hurting her!

"Can I have a dance with this beauty?" A guy forwarded his hand towards Nandini. Nandini looked at him. He was a guest.

"Ofcourse!" She without thinking twice, put her hand on his. If Manik was enjoying dancing with Shraddha so even Nandini had the right to enjoy herself!

Manik noticed them. He looked at Nandini with a frown but Nandini ignored him and smiled at the guy and started the slow dance. She wasn't too close to that guy but still Manik was getting furious. He couldn't see any other guy with Nandini

Manik was vexed by way, that guy was dancing with HIS Nandini.

Nandini's ignorance made Manik hell enraged.

He made Shraddha sit on the couch and went to take a drink

He looked at her, drinking his sip. Nandini was giggling with that guy. Manik drank one, another. He kept on drinking more shots. Sh!t! He was drunk now!

Soon the party was over. The guests left, SaRun and Koyal bid bye to Nandini.

As soon as they left, Manik just held Nandini arms tightly and grabbed her with him.

"Manik! What are you doing??"  Nandini tried to free herself but Manik's grip was more strong.

Manik locked the door as they came inside the room.

"What is wrong with you Manik!" Nandini yelled as she freed herself from his grip

"What is wrong with me?? What is wrong with you Nandini!! Why were you dancing with that guy like that haan??" Manik yelled equally. Nandini understood his words. She knew he was aggravated with her but even she was hurt right!

"Like what Manik..? I was just dancing with him..like You were dancing with Shraddha. Now enough of arguing. I'm hell tired." Nandini turned to go to the washroom but Manik held her arms

"Shraddha kahan se aa gayi beech mein? It's about US damn it!!" Manik shouted, his eyes spitting fire!

"Exactly Manik! It's about US! Why are you bringing Shraddha in? You're just staying with her. We are just married! Even I need your time! Even I need you Manik!" Nandini's voice carried pain!

"But what are you doing? You're going away from me! Agar Shraddha itna hi pasand tha tumhai tou shaadi mujhse kyun ki haan?? Tell me!! Why did you marry me when you can't even take care of I want and what I don't!!" Nandini screamed with agony

"Enough!! So you want me to love you right?! Fine..let's do this! Let's fulfill your wish" He removed his coat and Nandini widened her eyes. What was Manik doing??

"Manik ye tum kya kar rahe ho?" Nandini stepped backwards but Manik pulled her, she crashed into his chest.

"Manik leave me! You're drunk!!" Nandini made a disgust expression as Manik nuzzled his face on her neck

"Manik what are you doing?!!! Just leave me!!" She cried. Manik was behaving like a monster!

"Why haan? You want me to love you right?! Okay then, come. We'll do it today." He grabbed Nandini's arms and pushed her on the bed

"Manik stop it!!" Nandini said furiously as Manik started to unbutton his shirt. Nandini tried to get out from the bed but Manik grabbed her arms

"Where do you think you're going? We'll complete the task which we left in the middle yesterday night!" He said sternly as he pushed her back on the bed. He started to unpinned her pallu.

"Manik stop!! You're drunk, please!" Nandini pleaded for him to stop but Manik was really aggravated with her!

He leaned down and bit her neck, very harshly. Damn! He was not in his sense!

"Aaaa Manik!!!! Leave!!" Nandini cried in pain. She pushed Manik with a great force and he landed on the other side of the bed.

"Manik..?" Nandini called him. He had his eyes closed. He fell asleep due to the alcohol

Nandini covered him with the duvet properly.

"You crossed your limits today Manik..I hate you.!" Nandini weeped and went to freshen up. She came. She was about to sit on the bed but she stepped back.

She was afraid if he come up to do the same thing again because he was drunk so she settled herself on the couch itself. She wanted to stay away from him, just for the night.

Manik's Pov

"Aaah!" I held my head as I stood up from the bed. Damn! That was aching so much! I shifted my gaze to the clock, which showed 6.am. I looked around and found Nandini sleeping on the couch! I walked forward to get a clear view of my sleeping beauty! Aww my baby!

But wait!

Couch??

Why?!!

Yesterday night...

The argument!

Our fight, flashed in my head!

Sh!t, sh!t!! I hurt her!

Without thinking for a second, I lifted her in my arms due to the movement, she woke up. She gasped as she looked at me.

"Leave me, leave me!!" She started protesting, hitting me on my chest.

I placed her on the bed and she just moved a little away from me. Oh! She was afraid if I would do something again..! I cursed myself for hurting her last night!

I was so bad! So bad!!

"I..I'm sorry!" I whispered looking downwards. I was honestly feeling really guilty for my nasty act. Before I could speak further

THUD..!!!

I got a slap from Nandini.

What the..!

But she did correct!

I deserved even worst than this slap

"I am sorry Nandini..!" My voice was low yet it contained sincerity, honesty!

"I hate you Manik." She choked and I looked at her. Her eyes were full of pain! Her eyes were swollen. Oh! Seems like she had shed a lot of tears!

A lot!

Sadness all over her eyes. It hurts to see her like that!

"I hate you!!" She hit my chest and kept on hitting but I remained still. I was at fault! Sooner, she started weeping.

Oh!

My baby!

My angel was crying!

I couldn't control anymore. I took her in my arms and held her close to me to comfort her.

Her face was so close to me that I could have kissed her but I controlled.

It wasn't the right time!

She moved back from me and rushed to the washroom without even glancing at me.

I had messed up everything!!

I should have understand Nandini's point of view. I can't bear any other guy close to my Nandini. I feel like my own shadow is parting its way from me!

I was with Shraddha all the time, I should have taken care of Nandini too!

Nandini too must have felt like I was feeling when she was dancing with that guy!

Damn!!

I had mishmash everything!!

Every damn thing!!

But I swear..

This time, I won't let anyone come between US

Not even Shraddha.

I promise you, Nandini..

I'll make it up..

I'll make it up for YOU..

First of all, Manik won't be forcing himself on Nandini in any of my stories, Never ever. Maybe a little harsh but forcing? Nah! I don't like Manik being a monster.

All I can say now.., Please have trust in me.

I had already said before that Shraddha will be positive! But still many of you, are not liking Shraddha's character,

and I guess some have lose interest in the story too.

It's okay, I'm not hurt. I can understand your point of view.

From the next chapter, you won't find Shraddha. I'll make an end of her character.

As I had planned something for this story but I won't write it like I had planned now. So there can be an end of this FF soon.

Trust me, I will make everything okay. Have faith.
