Within an hour they reached their destination. The place was so breath taking that Maya would have mistaken it for paradise. Without even saying anything she stepped out of the car and went ahead.

Manan was pleased with her behavior and angrily stepped out of the car to march towards her.

Manan (angrily): How dare....

Maya: Shush....

Manan: You can't shush me.

Maya: Will you give your bossy session a break? I am watching something.

Manan: What?

Maya: Can't you see me watching the meeting going on between Mr. Shark and Mr. Kingfish? Isn't it awesome?

Manan: What are you saying?

Maya: Can't you get it. Of course I am shushing you to see the view. And by the way, I have been in this place since a very long time and I haven't seen such a breathtaking view till now. I must say you have impressed me.

Manan: Nothing that I can't do. Since the time I have come here, I visit this place on a regular basis.

Maya: Cool. Now tell me Mr. Malhotra, what's the matter?

Manan: what matter?

Maya: See I know very well that you haven't picked me up from my place just to show me this view. You definitely have a motive behind this. So speak up.

Manan: Don't teach me what to do?

Maya: I have not taken the post of a teacher. I don't like things put in a twisted manner. So tell me.

Manan: Fine. I wanted to tell you that you should tell Ms. Nandini Murthy to burn those sarees.

Maya: What??!! Are you mad?

Manan: No I am not.

Maya: Then get this clear in your head that I wouldn't be doing anything like that. At first those aren't 5 or 6 of them. There are 60 of them. And second, may it be 1 or 60, I will never destroy someone's hard work like that. Third, it's given by your father and if I do so I will be hurting his feelings.

Manan: My dad, my problem. You needn't worry about that. And second it's not your money so you can burn them.

Maya: You know what, I always thought that behind this bossy face of yours there lived a really good man who cared about what others felt. But I was wrong. You are the most arrogant and selfish person in this world. And my mother....

Manan: Your mother?

Maya: I mean my mother in law..... She is a hundred times better than you. She had offered to give this to the needy while you want to destroy it. Have some sympathy for people? You wouldn't die if you were kind with them. And if you were so interested burning them up then you didn't have to offer it in the first place.

Manan: You....

With this he pulled her buy her shoulder and held her tightly till his nails went into her skin. Maya was in a lot of pain but she didn't give a chance for him to take a lead in this verbal spat.

Maya: By pulling me like this and holding me tightly it won't change the fact that you are the most selfish person in this world.

Manan (yelling at her): Selfish, my foot. I am the one who sacrificed my life so that she wouldn't leave this world and you are telling me that I am selfish?

Maya: You needn't show off. She sacrificed her entire life to bring you up and what you did, just threw her out of your life for something you don't even know completely.

Manan: Yah right, sleeping with someone is a great sacrifice. Wow, I never knew it.

Maya: This is the problem with you. You decide the rest of the story by just listening to a bit of it. You don't even know what had actually happened and you decided to leave her so soon. What a son? I pity on her.

That was it for Manan and what he did next just shocked her. He slapped her tight. Maya held her cheeks which were red now. Also blood was dripping off her shoulder.

Maya: Wow, I didn't know that this would happen. I would love to give you one across your face but I won't do that (because you are my brother) because you are elder to me and I respect elders irrespective of what they do.

Manan: She is a bi**h and that will never change.

Maya: Until your attitude doesn't change, nothing would change.

It was now that Manan noticed the blood flowing through her shoulder because of which her ran towards her and held her arms softly.

Manan (concerned): How did this happen?

Maya: Ask yourself.  

Manan: I am sorry.

Maya: What is done is done. You can't change it now.

Manan pulled her towards the car and went in to get the first aid kit. He started medicating her hand while he looked in her eyes.

Manan: If things couldn't' change then I can't change. My past has made this new me and I won't change easily.

Maya: Just one suggestion. Just find out the truth about your mother for once If not for you or your dad then for me at least. I can forgive you if you would do this much for me.

Manan: Fine, but my view about her will never change.

Maya: We will see about that. Just do what I say.

With this the dressing was over and the two of them viewed the beautiful scene while sitting on the bonnet of the car.
