The guard was going to pick up the cat with one hand but got stopped by someone's hand. It was Manan. Even then his eyes were just looking at the cat expressionless.

Manan: I will do it myself.

On hearing this the guard stepped aside in shock and this shock was prevailing in the entire place. For the first time Manan picked up the cat with both his hands and cuddled it a bit. He then walked up the stairs and into the building.

Lady staff: Tum ne dekha jo main dekh rahi thi. Sir picked up the cat so lovingly for the first time and he took it inside the building.

Male staff: I remember the last time he picked up the cat was with single hand and he threw it out of the premises in anger. This is very surprising.

There was just one person who was smiling while hearing all this. It was none other than Maya. She never had known that her caring for animals would change him this much. She walked into the building while smiling.

INSIDE MNM DAZZLER INDUSTRIES

Manan had entered the office lobby and sat down right in the middle and on the floor. He was giving shocks to everyone with the passage of time.

Manan (screaming): Get me a first aid kit and a bowl of water fast.

People watching this ran for the things asked by their boss. They soon placed the bowl of water and the first aid box on the floor. Manan placed the bowl aside and then while keeping the cat on his lap he opened the first aid kit and took out the cloth n it. While holding the kitten on one hand he tried to tie it with the other. But his attempts failed miserably failed. He was going to try it once again when Maya held his hand.

Maya: Let me help you.

With this Maya sat down beside Manan whereas he looked away. Maya pulled the cloth out of his hand and kept it aside to which he glared at her.

Manan (Angrily): What are you doing?

Maya: Giving her first aid. You don't directly wrap the cloth over the wound. You will have to clean the hurt with water, put antiseptic over it and then while putting cotton over the wound, you should wrap it with the cloth. This is simple first aid that we should always remember.

With this Maya did whatever she said and Manan kept on staring at her. He was feeling so good when she sat beside her and also when she was advising. If it was someone else he would have screwed the shit out of them.

When Maya was done bandaging her, she put the cat down so that she could drink water from the bowl that was kept aside.

Maya: That's it then. You can say thank you now Mr. Malhotra.

Manan (glaring at her): And why should I say thank you to you?

Maya: For giving this cute little cat first aid.

Manan: First of all this cat is not cute and second of all I will not say thank you to anyone.

Maya: Finally you called it a cat and not a creature. And what was I thinking when I expected you to say thank you. Anyways I don't want you thank you. Instead you can help another three people and tell those three to help another three of them and say the same. This way we will have an army of just good people.

Manan: What! Are you serious? How stupid can someone get? And youth ink you can make an army of good people. You seriously need to know that these things will never happen in this world. This is not some Barbie world that you are living in.

Maya (While picking up the cat and standing up): You never know Mr. Malhotra what can happen to this world. I assure you that one day when you will fall in trouble someone will help you and say this very dialogue and then you will understand the effect of my words and doings.

With this Maya gave the cat to guard so that he can keep it out and walked to her cabin. Manan kept on looking at her and then realized that he was still sitting on the floor.

Manan (while standing up): Bull shit. This is not going to be true.

With this Manan left for his cabin.

NIGHT TIME 9:00PM

AT MNM INDUSTRIES MANAN'S CABIN

Manan was done looking at the last few emails in his laptop. He then raised his curtains to see what Maya was doing. She was sipping up juice from one hand and writing something on paper with the other hand. He then looked at his watch and realized that it was already time for going home and she was still busy doing her work. She would usually be the first person to make him realize the time but his expectation was wrong.

Manan: isse kya hogaya. How can she be so dedicated? Let's go over there and see what she is doing. With this he switched off the light in his cabin.

IN MAYA'S CABIN

Manan entered the room and saw a busy Maya writing in a notepad. He slowly walked across the room towards her and leaned over her shoulder to see what she was writing. To his surprise, she was just preparing for a meeting fixed for the very next day. He tapped her shoulder to know her of his presence.

Maya turned around in shock and almost lost her balance of her chair. Manan held her and pulled her up so that she crash herself on his chest and one of her hands wrapped behind her back.

Manan: Can't you ever take care of yourself?

Maya: No I can't. My brother is not always with me.

Manan (angrily): So you have a brother?

Maya: Yes, I do have a brother and he is way better than you.

Manan (while releasing her hand and walking backwards slowly): What is wrong with me that you don't consider be like your brother.

Maya: You are khadoos and I hate khadoos people. But I like the protective side of yours that the only thing that make me consider you just like my brother.

Manan smiled inwardly and walked towards the door slowly.

Manan (while opening the door): Pack up your things. I need to get you home now. It's too late so don't even think of saying no.

With this Manan left the room leaving a confused Maya behind.

Maya: Isse kya hogaya abh.

IN MANAN'S CAR

Manan was thinking ways to build up a conversation but failed every single time. It was Maya who had to pick up a topic now for them to have a chat on.

Maya: So sir other than your father who all do you have in your house.

Manan: And why do you want to know that? You want people to support you when I screw you or what?

Maya: Now I asking something is a problem. This much time you were trying to do the same thing na.

Manan (shocked): How do you know that?

Maya: Expressions speak a lot sir. That's means I was right.

Manan: Okay then, I have no one other than my dad in my family. I have a few friends and some uncles.

Maya (Shocked): You have friends?

Manan (annoyed): Why? Can't I have any?

Maya: No, not like that. You're so mean that's why I was having the thought.

Manan: Then get it straight n your head that I have best friends and they mean everything to me.

Maya: Okay okay...... I am not going to judge you that way.

Manan (cooling down): Who all do you have in your family?

Maya: My mom and my bhai and these two mean everything to me.

Manan: I can see that. You are their ladla right?

Maya: Yup.

Manan: But I will tell you one thing, don't trust your mother. Moms are all cheats. They show something and they turn out something else. I am a living experience of that. Mom are the most devastating and devilish people in the world who don't deserve to live.

Maya clutched the side of the door in anger and started screaming in anger.

Maya: Stop the car.

Manan: What?!!! We are almost near, the house has not yet reached.

Maya: I said stop the car before I call the police.

Manan stopped the car in a jerk and Maya push opened the door to get out. As soon as she got out of the car, she shut the door with a bag and leaned forward throw the passenger's window.

Maya: Don't you dare pick a finger at my mother's importance in my life. You don't have one so you don't know how their heart is like. They can do anything and everything for your happiness and existence. It is wonderful thing that your mother left your life. Atleast she doesn't have to hear these poisons words from your mouth. You must stand in a mother's position and then you will feel how it is like. Now I will be walking back home and I don't expect your prominence when I do so.

With this Maya walked away leaving an angry Manan in the car who was pushing his nails through the steering wheel. But soon he calmed himself down and decided to follow her so that she does reach home safely. He might have be angered by her behavior but yet he cared about her. He couldn't let her walk home alone. With this Manan started his engines and moved towards Maya's direction.
