cabir: so... you guys are dating each other... he said raising his head from his plate...

manik/aliya: NO/YES... they said at the same time and looked at each other...

aliya: baby what was that... we are dating aren't we... it feels like you are avoiding me... she said and fluttered her eyelashes at him... though getting a hint but chucked it off as this was manik she was talking about... no way he cant even imagine his life without her... and she still needed him to maintain her popularity... she thought and chuckled evilly...

manik: no aliya we. are. not. dating... i want to make this clear... from now on we are just friends... he said turning to her... * though he didn't love Nandini (author: yet...)... but he married her... so he will abide by his relation... though he doesn't expect anything from her... as being with aliya he understood one thing... not to expect anything from others and to only be himself with his close ones... he would give Nandini and this relationship a chance... so its up to Nandini whether to break his trust or make him realize that his decision was correct...* listening this aliya was about to say something when a voice interrupted them...

person: wow... is the manik malhotra rejecting the diva of the college ms. aliya Saxena... this is news... he said with surprise hidden in his voice... listening to his voice and the not so hidden taunt manik's anger reached its peak...

manik: RAHUL... don't test my non-existent patience... never come in front of me... he said and turned to leave but was stopped by the sight of aliya blushing seeing THAT BASTARD RAHUL... he knew that aliya had a crush on HIM since their schooling... Rahul was their college's jock... he had almost slept with all the queen bees... even with aliya... manik had been played by aliya... though manik knew about this a year ago when he planned to aliya that he liked her...but fate had different plans for him... he never wanted to believe it... and always tried to change to her liking... but everything had a limit... manik was beyond hurt seeing her in rahul's arms that day... thinking about this manik felt bitter... he just walked away and directly went home...

at malhotra mansion...

it was 4 in the afternoon when he reached Malhotra mansion...he went directly went to his secret room to see nandini sitting near the balcony with a book in her hands and wore some black-rimmed glasses... her hair was up in a bun with some of her strands falling on her neck... she wore a comfortable pink hello kitty pajamas...

she was sitting there with her eyes closed... seeing this Manik unknowingly smiled... seeing someone in his big lonely home... waiting for him... his mood was getting better... he went near her and sat beside her... sensing someone next to her Nandini opened her eyes to see Manik sitting near her... she gave him a big smile and hugged him... to which Manik was taken aback at first but wrapped his arms around her lightly while she tightened her hold... they pulled away from each other...

manik: hmm nandini... what do you want for dinner as kaka is not going to come today... she said looking at her while she frowned 'nandini' again... hmm no problem he will get used to it soon...

nandu: I will cook... hmm noodles are ok na... she said putting her glasses down... while manik looked at her in astonishment...

manik: you know how to cook... he said while she nodded and dragged him out of the room to the kitchen...

soon the started to collect the necessary ingredients for noodles when TAP.... manik malhotra was covered in..... snow... oops its flour... (imagine only manik guys...)

seeing this Nandini was laughing hard while Manik looked at her angrily but soon was mesmerized at her laughter... seeing him in a daze Nandini stopped laughing and gently shook him bringing him out of his dreamy world...

Nandini: mani you go and wash yourself I will make it ok... she said and pushed him out of the kitchen trying hard not to laugh... while he went to fresh up Nandini was doing the world's most difficult thing... cutting an onion... she was trying hard not cry but it was too painful... soon Manik came in to see nandu crying... he panicked thinking something happened to her he quickly went near her to check for wounds...

Manik: dreamy... you are ok right... why are you crying baby... he said rubbing her tears... while nandu gestured him to look down to see a knife and a freshly diced onion on the chopping board... he finally understood what happened... but didn't leave her hand and took her to their bedroom and made her sit then sat beside her...

nandu: mani I can do it... so let me... she said trying to get up... but Manik held her there not allowing her to move... he took the phone and ordered some food home... while nandu pouted seeing this...

he knew he was unnecessarily worrying... but there was this feeling in his heart when he saw her rubbing her tears away... never did he want to see that again...

Manik: dreamy look I can't seem to handle your tears... so you won't go to the kitchen from now onwards... he said Nandini tried to interrupt him but he immediately shushed her down by a playful glare... and stood from there to go down to wait for the food...

while coming down Manik suddenly took a detour into the music room... he went in to see his guitar placed in its place... he didn't know why but he was very much motivated to sing so he took his guitar and started singing a song unknown to him that he had an audience...

*one second, she was laughing yet another she was crying... here she is now pouting at me in anger... what am I feeling for you, my dreamy... why are you effecting me so much... we were strangers once, now tied in a beautiful bond called marriage... our paths have crossed unknowingly now they wove into a beautiful road... maybe it wont be as beautiful and happy as now, but this song today is dedicated to you...*

he ended the song slowly and put his guitar down... then turned to leave when someone came and hugged him with all her might...
