Manik's PoV
It was the day of the marriage,7 to be specific.In maybe two hours I'll be married.

Oh.my.god.

All the boys were in my room helping me get ready and also trying to scare my already scared soul away.Inhe kon bataye badi mushkil se sambhala hai kal khudko!

Flashback
I was resting on the bed thinking and just going through my life.I know I ain't dying but marriage is no less then dying.Kidding.I was just scared.

Talking to Nandini comforted me for a while but all the worries came rushing back when I was alone and I couldn't sleep.

It was midnight.Sighing I gave up and got up.The next I knew I was in the balcony with a beer bottle in my hand.Wrong decision!

I didn't want to disturb anyone this late.Everyone was tired running around all these days and I didn't want to burden them with my stupid thoughts.

The sky was starry.It was calm and peaceful.I wish I resonated with nature but my thoughts were all jumbled up.They actually were at two ends.They were all over the place.I was hanging by a thread or else I would have went and barged in my parents room a long time back.

How do people get married?I am sooo nervous and fucking scared.Is this normal or am I weird?I mean I have dated Nandini for 6 years,there is no reason for me to be this scared but she is just so precious and I don't want to hurt her.Her father has treated her with soo much love and she deserves soo much more than this.Atleast not an impulsive jerk like me.

Manik no negative thoughts,I scolded myself and sighed.Do I have to bear these thoughts and not get an ounce of sleep?

I sighed and tossed the empty beer bottle on the side.I went and lied down on the bed.This stupid brain of mine needs to know when to shut up.He is of bloody no use.Negative creature.

I closed my eyes and imagined Nandini walking down the aisle in her wedding attire. Gosh she's beautiful! That brought a smile on my face.I kept imagining her walking down multiple times and thankfully sleep took over me.

Present
"Manik mein bata raha hoon abhi bhi time hai bhaag jaa.Yeh shaadi ke chakkar mein mat pad."Vihaan bhai laughed but he helped me straighten my sherwani.

"Bro tu kuch bhi bol I don't care.I am getting married to the love of my life.I think nothing can go wrong."I smiled looking at myself setting my hair.All my negative thoughts can wait but nothing can stop me from enjoying this day.Not even my crappy thoughts.Period.

Vihaan bhai shook his head but patted my back. "I'm proud of you brother."He hugged me and Rehaan bhai joined us.

"I am seeing my baby brother getting married.I feel like a proud parent today."Rehaan bhai chuckled but wiped his eyes shooing away his tears while bhabhi rubbed his back.

I smiled widely.My brothers were my second fathers.I was super close to both my brothers and having them say this meant the world to me.

"Manik."

Mom,Dad and daadu walked in.Mom had tears shining in her eyes while Dad had a proud look on his face while Daadu had a wide smile.Everyone left the room giving us sometime.

"Khoteya tere daadu ko bhul gaya"Daadu feigned a hurt look and I rolled my eyes.

"Oh please daadu roj milta tha aapse.Aap kabse itna melodramatic bann gaye?"I said and he chuckled.

"Aa jhappi paa."He pulled me in for a tight hug and I reciprocated.I loved him.He was the best I could have ever got.

"Mera baccha aaj kitna bada hogaya.You're starting a family of you own.Both my sons make me soo proud."Mom kissed my forehead while I smiled and kissed her cheek.

"You were soo small Manik and look at you now."Dad smiled wiping his tears away. "No pep talks but All the best son for you new journey.You'll always have our back."

"I love you."I hugged all three of them.

"We love you more son."They replied.

"Humare bina?"Bhabhi pouted making Mom chuckle.

"Aajao baccho."Dad extended his hand and they both ran like kids making it a family hug.

"By the way Manik aaj bada handsome lag raha hai."Mom winked and I grinned.

"Mom."Bhabhi handed her the pagdi and she placed it on my head.

She admired me and did a little pooja.I was all set to take my bride away....forever.

Nandini's PoV
15 hours later.Here I was sitting in front of the mirror while the makeup artists decked me up for our wedding.I was a bit in control of my emotions right now and I was proud of myself for that.

Flashback
It is 5 in the morning and like a stupid person I am wide awake.There are 15 more hours for the wedding.

15 freaking hours!

To say I am shitting my pants is an understatement.I want to run away.Late ho gaya kya?Can I run now?

Don't even think about it you dumbass!

I sighed for what felt like the 100th time.My mind and heart were having a battle of their own.I was nervous anyways but they were just pushing me off the edge.I knew I was ready for marriage and that I loved Manik but I had a number of 'what ifs' in my head.I also knew they were wedding jitters but just....urghh.

I groaned into the pillow.I looked at the watch and sighed,more 14 hours and 53 minutes.Itna soch ke bass 7 minute hi gujre hai.Bhagwaaaan.

I am going to be the most tired bride the world has ever seen.I have been awake almost the entire night and there was no surprise that I will have bags under my eyes.Counting sheeps,staring at the stars (don't ask me how I did that with a closed ceiling),playing with the lamp switch,I also played candy crush.Nothing worked.My mind had decided to strike me with future possibilities.Something I didn't sign up for.

I pushed the duvet off my body and got up.I tried enough.My sleep can just go fuck itself.I might end up looking like a zombie at my own wedding but I DON'T CARE.

I did the only thing that could calm my nerves down.I played Manik's songs. His voice had that thing that could instantly make me relax.It was super weird but it was the truth.The music added to the already peaceful environment sure did calm me down and it lulled me to sleep.

I was fidgeting with my fingers in nervousness.I had the entire zoo in my stomach today.The feeling was really weird for me,something I have never felt before.It was as if all emotions had knocked my door today.I wanted nothing but Manik's warmth and his soothing words which would act as a medicine.

"Ohh la la Nandini kya dikh rahi hai.Mein kya bolti hoon Manik ko chod we'll get maried."Mukti flirted looking at me in awe bringing me out of my thoughts.

I giggled and caressed her cheek romantically. "Meri jaan mujhe tumhi se pyaar hai lekin mein Manik ko dhoka nahi de sakti hoon."I acted with added effect.I had surely gone crazy.Blame it on the lack of sleep.

"God girls enough with your drama."Alya smacked Mukti making her yelp.

"Geez woman."Mukti yelled rubbing her arm passing her a glare which she royally ignored.

"Mukti yaar samajh na she is eager to marry Dhruv agar hum dono bhaag gaye toh Abhi toh akele shaadi karne nahi dega Dhruv ko."I said earning a smack from Alya and Mukti smirked realising.

Flashback
"Nandini come on get up."I was shaken awake harshly and I got up yawning.What is it with people and waking me up? Can't they just let me sleep?

"Good morning."I mumbled resting my head on mom's shoulder.

"Good morning beta.Now come on hurry up.Its 10.Chuda bharne ki rasam hai you have to get ready for that."She clapped happily squealing like a little kid making me giggle.She and dad were wayy more excited than me.It looked like mom was living her marriage all over again.

"Calm down Mother India I'll get ready."I kissed her cheek and got down.

I made my way to my room and took a relaxing shower.I wore the dress mom had kept on the bed.It was a very pretty off white georgette anarkali.A little heavy but koi nahi.

I had my breakfast until the girls came and sat down to do my hair. "Hello bride to be."Mukti walked in followed by the other girls.

"Hello girls."I said.Alya and Kiara walked to me to help me with my hair and makeup while the rest lounged in the room.

Soon I was ready with my hair out of my face in a pretty braid and my makeup subtle. "What you eating?"I questioned Myra bhabhi who was sitting on the bed out of my vision.

"Fries."She showed and stuffed that one in her mouth.

"Where did you get that from?Mujhe bhi chahiye.Gimme no."I stretched my hand my eyes twinkling.

What?!Fries no sorry Cheesy Fries are my one true love.Manik can wait.You remember Fries before guys!

I almost had the piece of cheesy goodness on my hand when Navya very cruelly slapped my hand away. "You just had breakfast."I glared at her which she mirrored.

"I want friessssss."I whined getting up but before I could do anything there was a knock on the door.

"Are you ready beta?"Mom shouted from outside.

Navya opened the door letting her in.She smiled looking at me and kissed my forehead. "Chale?"She asked and I nodded.

Everyone was gathered in the living room.I was made to sit on a chair in the middle.My mom blindfolded me and placed a chunni on my head.Sudhir uncle was supposed to make me wear the chooda.He purified the chooda and then he and his wife made me wear it.

According to my wish,Niru,Cabir,
Abhimanyu,Dhruv,Niraj blessed me keeping their hands on the chooda.

"God bless you my child.Be happy always.I'll miss you."Dad kissed my forehead tying a cloth on the chooda.

I had a whirlwind of emotions inside me.Dad opened the blindfold and I immediately hugged him with tears streaming down my face. "I'll miss you."I cried hugging him tightly.

I could feel the atmosphere change.Through my blurry eyes I could see mom hugging Aarohi dii.Oh godd,Nandini you weren't supposed to cry like this.

Stupid eyes!

I took a deep breath and wiped my tears. "Are you okay?"Dad questioned looking at me with concern.I nodded wiping away his tears.

"Dii yaar sabko rula diya."Niru said wiping his tears and I glared at him making him go silent.Thats better.

"Accha chalo ladkiyon baitho abhi."Mom quickly averted the topic.Alya,Mukti,Shanaya and a few other cousins of mine sat.

The first few times the kalire didn't fall on anyone.I moved ahead and shook my hands above Alya's head. "Alya itni jaldi hai shaadi ki."I teased seeing her fingers crossed.She elbowed me hitting my legs and I laughed.The next second a tiny little piece fell on her head and she squealed making us laugh. "Dhruv its you in the line."I said and he smiled at me.

I shook my hand on Shanaya and it didn't fall. "Sorry brother abhi bohot time hai."I said faking sadness and he glared at me while Shanaya whined.

I shook my hands on Mukti's head and it fell on her head.She looked at me with wide eyes."No wayss."We all squealed and jumped up and down.

"We have two weddings in line Nandini."Navya laughed and I nodded.

Present
"Don't you think you guys should be with Manik?"I questioned raising my eyebrows and they all shrugged.

"Uski toli hai to get him ready hum to sirf baarat mein naachne jayenge."Navya said shrugging.

As soon as Navya said this the beats of the dhols started making the girls squeal.Mukti,Navya and Alya left the room after giving me a quick hug leaving me alone with Dii.

Oh my god!He is here.I want to see him but dii hai yaha.I looked at my sister to find her looking at me. "Mujhe kya dekh rahi hai.Tera pati you can see him permission lene ki jarurat nahi hai"Dii rolled her eyes and I jumped up from my place and walked towards the balcony.

I bit my fingers in nervousness and was about to peep in when I held herself back. "Nahi Nandini later."I murmured and calmed my rapidly beating heart before walking back to my room.

"Toh kaisa lag raha hai tera Romeo?"Dii questioned as soon as she see me walk in.

"I didn't see him,directly mandap mein dekhungi."I said and dii nodded. "Dii"I called out timidly.

"Yess darling."

"I want to be alone for sometime."I bit my lips nervously.

"Okay."She smiled and walked towards me. "Everything will be okay.Don't worry."She assured me and gave a tight hug.

She walked towards the door and called me out. "Nandini try not to run."She winked.

"I'll try."Nandini giggled.

Dii left closing the door behind her and I sighed.I walked to the mirror and looked at myself .I looked beautiful today.Getting ready for my love made me feel things I never had felt.I was glowing with his love.The never ending smile on my face and my twinkling eyes were the proof of it.

"Diii."Niru walked in without knocking.Typical brother!

I looked at him and twisted my lips. "You finally remembered you have a sister?"I glared at him and he pouted.

"I am sorry dii lekin kaise face karta aapko.I couldn't digest the fact that my sister would be leaving me.I didn't want to make you cry.I am gonna miss you soo much dii."He hugged me tightly crying like a baby and I hugged him back with teary eyes.Niru for me was my little baby.I loved him to the very core of my heart.All our pranks,our outings,our dates,our movie nights,fighting over food I was going to miss all the little things.

I was going to miss him.

"Shh Niru I am not leaving baba mein toh yahi rahungi.I am bass 20 minutes away from home.Kabhi bhi milne aajana."I said breaking the hug and wiping his tears.

"Kabhi bhi nahi I don't want to see you in any compromising situation."He teased and I slapped his shoulders.

"Kuch jyaada hi bolne laga hai tu aajkal."I glared at him and he made the most innocent face possible. "I'm gonna miss you and I love you."I hugged him yet again.

"I love you more dii."He kissed my cheek and wiped my tears. "Ab yeh ganga yamuna bahana band karo.Mom and Dad are outside waiting to meet you."He said.

"Kabse bahar hai?"I asked and he shrugged. "Go get them you stupid person."

"Mom Dad."He shouted and like they were waiting for his shout they walked in the next second.

As soon as they saw me a gasp escaped their lips.They stood rooted at their places and I nervously grinned. "Inhe kya hua?"I muttered to Niru.

"Aap aise pataka lag rahe ho.Bechare couldn't bear it."He casually stated earning a glare from me.The guy has literally no filter.

"Mom,Dad."I called out and they walked towards me in a daze.

"Kitni pyaari lag rahi hai meri bacchi.I am rendered speechless."My mother caressed my hair with teary eyes and my eyes automatically became teary.

"You look like an Angel Nandini."Dad muttered kissing my forehead. "You have been our angel Nandini.Now time to shine in Manik's life."He patted my head and I smiled with tears in my eyes.

"Why is my baby scared?You toh are my brave child na.You should be happy that you are starting a new part of your life with Manik.The man you love with all your heart.Aise darte thodi na hai,pagal."He patted my head lightly and I smiled but frowned the next second.

"What if I make a mistake?"I asked scared.Mera toh world record hai of making stupid mistakes.

He caressed my hair when mom stood besides him. "We all are humans.Nobody is perfect and you are going to make mistakes.Lekin unn galtiyon se seekhna and try to not make those mistakes again.Hum sabse galtiyan hoti hai lekin koi darke jeena nahi chod deta Nandini.You and Manik both are mature I know dono ek dusre ko sambhal loge.Baaki tum dono bhi bohot samajhdar ho and hum toh hai hi if you ever need us."She explained and I nodded.

"Aaj toh it is your wedding.You are supposed to enjoy your day and yaha my daughter is being all emotional making all of us cry."He said and I giggled.

"I love you."I muttered hugging my parents like my life depended on them and Niru joined in.

"Bass Nandini no emotional talks now."Mom wiped my tears breaking the hug and I nodded.I had promised Manik I wouldn't cry and look at me now.

"Manik is waiting for you Nandini."Dad whispered in my ear.I snapped my head at him and he nodded making me smile a shy smile.

"Kisi ki najar na lage tujhe."Mom said placing a black dot behind my ear and I smiled.

"Ready to go down Ms.Murthy?"My father questioned forwarding his hands.I nodded with teary eyes.Not sure if the tears were hearing my name as Ms.Murthy for the last time or the fact that I was leaving my family.I sighed wiping my tears and Manik's thought made me smile.

The vast,seemingly empty,space was filled with glittering,diamond-like stars.Each twinkling star seemed to be in it's proper place,filling empty spaces.Shadowy,ribbon-like clouds were flowing around the full moon.The moon,the stars,the streaming clouds,everything glowed with it's own ominous light.The tunes to romantic songs played making the whole atmosphere mesmerising.Everything was perfect.Manik was always an admirer of the beautiful night sky but today he had to agree that the night had a very different kind of magic to it.

The back garden had a whole lot of buzz around.People were chatting amongst themselves and Manik's friends were teasing him amidst the chants of the priest.Manik was sitting performing the initial rituals when all his friends vanished out of nowhere.Traitors!

The priest was instructing him a few things which Manik followed but all knew he was waiting for Nandini.His gaze was time and again moving towards the entrance but she was nowhere in sight.

"Vadhu ko bulaiye."The priest stated and Manik grinned.The moment he was waiting for had finally arrived.

"Calm down little brother."Rehaan patted his back laughing lightly.Manik simply ignored and shrugged his hand off his back.He was too engrossed looking at the entrance.

A few minutes passed and then the entire space turned silent.A few gasps could be heard and then whispers of awe.Manik had never felt soo restless in his life.He felt his heart beating at the speed of light.Manik eagerly waited for one glimpse of her and when she finally walked out, he chocked on his own freaking saliva.

She walked out with Niru,Niraj, Abhimanyu,Cabir carrying the flower blanket while Rajan and Dhruv walked on either side of her.

Nandini created a very different aura with her entrance.She looked like a goddess in her wedding attire.She looked beautiful.Manik was gazing at her his eyes not leaving her for even a moment.

That was the moment he realised how lucky he was.Lucky for being the sole bearer of her heart.Lucky to be loved by a pure soul like hers.

As she walked down the aisle for him his eyes teared up.The tears came streaming down his face.He thanked all his stars for bringing this girl in his life.

As for Nandini,she was nervous but having her dad and all her brothers beside her did calm her nerves a bit but she didn't dare look at Manik.

"He is crying."Her dad muttered to himself but Nandini heard and frowned looking at him.She followed his gaze and looked at Manik to see him smiling through his tears.Nandini had her eyes widened when she looked at him.

He looked like a prince.He looked soo handsome.Nandini was drooling.She wanted to avert her eyes but her eyes had a mind of their own.They stuck at the divine mess in front of her.

Manik wiped his tears and gave her a breathtaking smile which Nandini reciprocated.He got up when he saw her nearing the stage.He forwarded his hands to her and Nandini placed her hand on his. "Take care of my daughter."Rajan sternly said but his eyes shined with tears. "And Nandini take care of him."He said.He patted both their cheeks and went away to stand besides his wife.

Manik helped her up on the stage and made her sit.He sat besides her and the ritual started. "You're soo beautiful.I'm gonna gobble you tonight."He whispered loud enough for only her to hear.

Nandini's eyes widened and a blush creeped her cheeks.She managed to pass him a glare. "Shhh."She shushed him making him laugh lightly.

Oh boy!There was gonna be trouble for a certain someone tonight!

"Ab aap dono pati patni hue."The priest declared and all their friends and family hooted and cheered making both Manik and Nandini grin.

Manik kissed Nandini on her forehead swiftly making her smile.They were finally together.The peace they felt was unexplainable.All the hurdles paid off.Every tear shed was worth it.

They moved ahead to take everyone's blessings and gave each one a hug.

"God bless you kids.Humesha khush rehna."Daadu blessed them and they both smiled.

They stood in front of their friends who smiled. "Finally Mr and Mrs. Malhotra."Cabir said making Manik grin. "So happy buddy."He and Navya hugged both of them together.

"Kitne papad belne pade hai to get you both married."Alya said wiping the fake sweat off her  forehead making them laugh. "Chal jhooti we all know how you secretly enjoyed it."Nandini stated making everyone laugh while Alya muttered a 'sure sure'

"Manik thank me meri wajah se Nandini mili teko warna tu reh jaata kunwara."Mukti boasted making Nandini laugh.

"Yeh sach kaha Mukti tune."She agreed and Manik glared at the both of them but thanked her anyways.

Who wants to get kicked out of the bedroom on the first night!

Nandini was made to sit on the bed in Manik's room which was beautifully decorated for their first night.

The bidai ceremony would officially take place the next day since they would be leaving the palace tomorrow so hadn't cried that day.

The games were done.No points in guessing that Nandini had bagged all the games making Manik a little grumpy which we all know was a facade.Though Nandini had won,she and Manik both knew that none of them would have an upper hand.Both of them were firm believers of equality and they knew that they would equally rule each other.

Coming back to the current situation at hand,Nandini was nervous.Manik had dropped in hints of how he was going to ravish her tonight.Just thinking of it made Nandini's mind fuzzy.

Nandini's PoV
After the chuda ceremony was done everyone went back to their rooms to rest and I moved to my room.I hadn't seen Manik after haldi yesterday and that was almost 24 hours back and now I missed him.

It was only 2 in the afternoon.Knowing he would be awake I messaged him.

My mind doesn't allow me to drift from your thoughts. It keeps turning back to you. I miss you so much, and I love you🥺😭❤️

I locked my phone and tapped it on my hand waiting for his reply.Yeh ladka itna time kyu laga raha hai? To be honest it was just a few seconds but I just missed him.

Same here baby❤️I want to hug you right now and kiss you like there is no tomorrow😘

I widened my eyes as blush coloured my cheeks.He is openly flirting with me.Godd!!

I soo wish you were here with me right now😉🙈😘

Take that Mr,two can play the game.I sent the text biting my lips to stop that stupid smile.This guy drives me insane.Within a few seconds my phone pinged with his message.He types fastt!!

On second thoughts I'll keep that pending for tomorrow💋

If I was blushing earlier,now I just looked like a tomato.The butterflies erupted in my stomach making me giggle.This guy could really....urghhh.I just sent him a reply.

What is up with your messages? I'm trying my best to fall asleep but you just make it soo difficult.

I got his text but before I could reply I got another one from him.

The moment I read his message a gasp escaped my lips.My blush deepened and I closed my eyes.

I followed the first sane command of my brain and calmed myself down.I looked at the message for a while,not knowing what to reply I left him on seen.

All her friends kept nagging and teasing her making her more nervous.She wanted nothing but to kick everyone out. "I think its enough.She looks like she would piss her pants."Navya joked.

"Thanks that definitely made me feel better."Nandini said sarcastically sighing at the end.She was nervous.

"Nandini Manik ko kabse janti ho?"Myra questioned placing her hand on her shoulder.

"Uhmm 7 years bhabhi."Nandini states giving her a confused look.

"You guys love each other,right?"Alya questioned and she nodded completely weirded out now.

"Toh you should know that he will love you no matter what."Mukti stated and Navya nodded.

"You don't have to be nervous baba.Just relax.Yeah?"Navya said and she nodded with a smile.She surely didn't feel any better but that did put a smile on her face.Her friends weren't that bad.

"Accha ab hum chalte hai."Alya winked.

"All the best."They shouted together and Nandini giggled slapping her head.

"All the best toh aise bolke gaye hai ki jung pe jaa rahi hoon."She muttered laughing at her own statement.

After a couple of minutes Nandini heard a little chaos outside but before she could get up to check Manik walked in locking the door behind him.

Manik's gaze fell on his now wife Nandini Malhotra and he grinned.The next second he smirked but instead of walking towards her he made his way towards the washroom.He could clearly see the nervousness in her eyes and body language,he wanted to ease her out.

Nandini frowned looking at him but chucked thinking he might want to pee.After 5 minutes Manik walked out and got settled besides Nandini.Though he showed like he didn't care he was observing her from the corner of his eye. "Manik?"Nandini gave him a questioning gaze and he acted all innocent.

"What?"

"Manik."She said implying with her eyes holding his hand.

"Aren't you tired?Mujhe toh bass sona hai."He faked a yawn and Nandini's mouth formed a perfect 'o'.She threw a pillow at his head and got up but before she could move any further she was pulled on the bed.

"Kya hai chodo mujhe."She struggled to get out of his grip but Manik just tightened his hold on her. "Sometimes I want to slap you because you find a way to annoy and argue with me to no ends but at the same time you...make me tingly,happy and constantly wanting to kiss you."She muttered looking straight out of the balcony.

Manik leaned forward grinning kissing her cheek. "I'm glad I make you feel that way love."

Now that they both were silent,they could feel their rapid heart beats and erratic breathing making them aware of their current situation.Manik pulled Nandini more behind making her lie down.His hands moved at their own accord and caressed her cheek making her close her eyes at his mere touch.

He bent down, his lips against her cheek, brushing it lightly—and still that light touch sent shivers through her nerves, shivers that made her whole body tremble. "If you want me to stop, tell me now," he whispered. When she still said nothing, he brushed his mouth against the hollow of her temple. "Or now." He traced the line of her cheekbone. "Or now." His lips were against hers.

"Or—"

But she had reached up and pulled him down to her, and the rest of his words were lost against her mouth. He kissed her gently, carefully, but it wasn't gentleness she wanted, not now, not after all this time, and she knotted her fists in his shirt, pulling him harder against her. He groaned softly, low in his throat, and then his arms circled her, gathering her against him.

He saw what he had wanted to see for what seemed like a really long time.Her eyes tonight burned with desire.Desire to love beyond boundaries.Desire to devote.Desire to be one in every way humanly possible.He eyed her for a long moment, searching,before the tension left her body.

"I love you."She managed to whisper out loud.She could feel his hand on her stomach,caressing and kneading her.

He smiled and pressed his lips against her cheek. "I love you."He promised seeing her surrendering herself completely to him.

Taadaaaaa.Last update ke liye bohot wait karwaya I know but I had my reasons.I had a lot of things at the back of my head but I still pushed through and wrote the update.I completed it but I couldn't make myself post it.I like to be truly happy when I give an update and I wasn't happy.I was constantly worrying about something.
