Manik: umm... well Stephan's construction contract and Mr. Henry's one... what about you... he said while nandu put her elbow on the table and supported her chin...

nandu: well, that's amazing... we are, right now more, inclined to do some fashion projects... by the way, I heard about Mr. khans project... what happened, it was all last minute... she said in a confused tone while Manik who was nodding his head stopped...

* actually I also heard that there were rumors about Companies not giving their projects to bachelors... seriously... they must be kidding...* she thought and inwardly laughed...

Manik: well, those bloody people actually rejected my project you know... only cause I am a bloody bachelor... he said with great hatred... while nandu looked at him in disbelief...

nandu: you got to be kidding me... I cannot seriously believe this... how dare you come here to marry me for petty revenge... you know what OUT! she shouted at him while he then released what he said...

nandu: you are not going... fine, I will then... she said standing up when manik's brain finally worked...  he held her hand and pulled her towards him... he then pushed her against the table with his hands now on her waist... she was glaring at him, hard... (if Addy ((nandu's temporary PA)) saw his boss like this then he would definitely faint...)

Manik: look, I know... right now you hate me... but please listen to me... I am not doing this for only revenge... I goddamn hate marriages... but... listen, I have always lived alone in New York... I had no one around... it was lonely... but my workaholic tendencies make people stay away from me... but you are the same as me... I can promise you I will stay away from your personal life... i just want a family... he said while nandu rolled her eyes at him... (for the first time manik malhotra said please... raise your hands to clap guys...)

nandu: look, Mr. Malhotra... I don't want to be a divorcee... and I don't want to get into this temporary shit... If you want me to marry you... then it would be for a lifetime... she said firmly while this time Manik rolled his eyes...

Manik: I never said I was gonna divorce you... it's just that I want you to know what your options are... and I swear I will be true to you and I hope you would too... I don't know much about love but I swear to treat you with respect.... he said while nandu nodded her head...

nandu: but Mr. Malhotra... I need some time... like 3 months... she gestured with her hand... while Manik widened his eyes...

Manik: but why- sorry, but why do you need 3 months... he said being confused...

nandu: there is no way I can come to new york keeping all my projects pending... and I wanted to ask you if you had any intention of shifting to London... she asked him truthfully... while Manik put a thoughtful expression... (her world only rotates around work and family)

Manik: then why don't we do this... how about we spend three months here, after marriage and then three months there... we can then decide where to stay... he said while nandu nodded her head with a little hesitation...

*there is no way I can believe his words...*

nandu: hmm... then why don't we make a contract... you know, for safety purposes... she said making Manik roll his eyes at her...

Manik: ok so... he said while nandu raised her brow and walked away from him leaving the poor Manik in a dilemma...

*why is it so hard to understand this girl... god! will she say yes... I hope she will*

they both reached downstairs to see everyone immersed in talking... they looked at each other before Manik cleared his throat gaining their attention...

neyo: oh, mannu... she raised her brow asking 'kaise lagi' while manik just smiled at her and went towards FAB5... ishita too went near nandu to ask what happened while nandu said she will say later...

raj: accha ji... hum chalte hai... raman hum kabhi aur baat kar the hai... he said while raman nodded his head... the Murthy couple bid them farewell... and immediately went towards nandu's room where amms and navya already started their interrogation...

nandu was sitting on her bed with amms and navya on her either side...

amms: ladke kaise hai...

nandu: ok...

navya: what did you talk about...

nandu: business...

amms: tujhe pasad aaya...

nandu: don't know... she said while navya and amms sighed at her monosyllables...

ishi: nandu beta... so what should we say... she asked anxiously... while nandu was in a dilemma...

she took a deep breath...

nandu: ma... I need some time to think... I am going for a run... she said going to her washroom and shut the door...

they all looked at each other before looking at navya and smiling who got goosebumps by their looks...

navya: *huff *huff... nandu... *huff... break please... *huff... she said sitting down on one of the benches... while nandu too sat beside her... she wiped her sweat with the towel on her shoulder... and gave the spare water bottle to navya...

navya: umm... so what do you think about him... she asked while nandu just looked at the people in the park...

nandu: don't know... he came here to marry me because of the rumor... you know that some people are not giving projects to bachelors right... she said while navya frowned...

navya: what the hell... is he crazy... I can't believe people like him would exist... she said while nandu rolled her eyes...

nandu: well he said he would give me space and will not interfere in my personal life nor cheat on me... and he also agreed to my conditions about staying in London for three months... he also said that after spending three months in New York... we could choose to stay here in London... he even agreed to make a contract... she concluded... while navya was in a deep thought...

navya: nandu are you sure baby... I don't want the history to repeat itself... think once again... I don't know if this boy is good or not but try...  she said while nandu nodded her head...

neyo: sab log... mere mannu se door hato... she shouted finally making everyone move... she took maniks hand and made him sit on the sofa before sitting beside him...

neyo: mannu, my baby... acchi lagi na... she asked while manik licked his lips...

manik: mumma, the girl is ok... but... i don't know... he said as he doesn't know her well enough...

*agar me iss chance ko loose kiya tho that's it... but, wo ladki different thi... maybe we could work it out...*

he thought and then looked at neyo...

manik: mumma... i think i can marry her... but maybe before conforming it... we could meet once again... he said while neyo smiled at him while caressing his hair...

neyo: accha mannu as you wish... she said kissing his head... while manik smiled before running to his room and closing his door fastly before any more honeybees enter his room...

nandu and navya reached home... it was almost evening...

as soon as nandu sat on the dining table, raman and ishita sat opposite to her...

ishita: nandu... stop making fun of me and tell me what did you decide... she said  pouting while nandu laughed... she made a thinking gesture...

nandu: accha mumma, i think i could marry him... but... i want to meet him once again... if that's ok with you... she said while ishita let out a big squeal and hugged the life out of raman who bechara was sitting beside her...

raman: i- ishi------- time out... he said with great difficulty while ishita smiled sheepishly...

soon the family ate their dinner happily...

amms: wo humare bapu hai na... ek din unhone tumhare DJ ko dek liya... tab se mujhe bahar jaane ko mana kar diya... par ye roos aathe the... mere room ke window pas stones throw kar the the... bohot baar humare bapu ne inko mara tha... par ye tho sunthe hi nahi... tab ek condition raki mere bapu ne... she said making nandu even more attentive...

amms: tab, bapu ne tumhare DJ ko kaha ki ' teek hai, tumhe humari beti chahiye par hume tumpe yakeen nahi ki humari beti ko acche se rakho ge... pehle paisa kamao aur phir ladki ke liye aana...' aur phir tumhare DJ jaise gaayab hi ho gaye... samai beet tha gaya par tumhare DJ ka koi naam aur nishaan nahi... mere bapu mere liye rista doondna shuru kar diya... mujhe bohot dar lag tha tha... par me ne ros bhagwaan se yahi pray kiye ki tumhare DJ jaldi wapas aa jaye... phir ek din, ek kabar aayi ki humare yaha koi amir ladka aa raha hai... wo tumhare DJ nikle... she said while nandu broke into a big smile...

amms: wo jo film me ho tha hai na... usse thara mujhe le gaye... she said giggling at her memory where DJ rode a horse to her home...

nandu: wah, mere DJ bohot romantic nikle... she said giggling when a voice resonated in the room...

voice: Of course! meri kishori ke liye kuch bhi... he said as his powerful voice echoed... amms hid her face in her hands while nandu ran towards her DJ...

nandu: DJ!!! i missed youuuuuuuuuuuu... she shouted hugging him while DJ patted her head...

DJ: accha accha, tho kaise hai meri bacchi... he said sitting on the sofa while nandu sat beside him keeping her head on his shoulder...

nandu: mast... she said acting childish... nandini murthy only acts childishly in front of two people one her DJ and two her appa...

DJ let out a hearty laugh as he caressed her hair..

DJ: me ne suna ki bandar ki shaadi ho rahi hai... he said looking at amms while nandu pouted moving away from DJ...

nandu: ammssssss... she said while glared DJ making him pout...

amms: meri bacchi ki shaadi hai... badi jo ho gayi hai... she said caressing her hair while DJ smiled at them...

*ye meri pyaari bacchi hai... iss baar isse kuch hone nahi doonga...* he thought as he secretly made a promise to himself... he then messaged his PA to search about manik malhotra...

DJ: accha tho recently mujhe ek news aaye ki... kuch show down wagera huva tha office me... nandu ye sab kya hai... me ne kaha tha no troubles... he said while nandu pouted...

nandu: par DJ... wo tho kuch aise hi... and there was no trouble... aur hume profit bhi huva... *bas aapke log ke nuts kuch loose hai wo tight kar doongi...* she said with a puppy eyed expression and of course the last line in her mind... wouldn't want DJ to know right... while DJ nodded hesitantly...

DJ: fine par ye aakri baar hai... teek hai... he said while nandu nodded her head eagerly...

amms: bas bas ho gayi aap ki buisness wisness... chalo mere kanna ko rest karna hai... she said dragging DJ away while nandu looked at them with a smile...

*how she wished to have such a love... but seems like god had rejected her wish for this life time... how can she expect something like love...* she thought as she laid on her bed...
