Nandu cut the call after some time... she went and sat in her study to read some documents... it was almost midnight when nandu closed her files and stood up to leave to bed... she got changed... before going to bed, she went near the window and sat there looking at the sky...

*kya karu mein... kuch samaj me nahi aa raha... it's high time I move on... but everything feels so suffocating... Maybe marriage is a better option...* she thought looking at the stars... the door creaked a little...

Nandu: amms... she said as she stood up... Amms gestured her to sit down which she did...

Amms: kanna... I know you are in a dilemma... but you have to understand... your parents are doing this for your good... if you were in their place I think you would also do the same thing... and you are 24 now it's high time you get married... she said caressing her long black hair...

Nandu: but Amms 24 is not too old na... and i just can't... I and marriage are like two peas in different pods... she said pouting hating the concept of marriage... while Amms smiled widely and patted her...

Amms: kanna hume pata hai ki aap ko ye shaadi pasand nahi hai... par aap hamesha kuari nahi reh sakthi hai na... aapke parents ko bohot duk ho ga... that no one wants to marry their lovely daughter... she said while nandu sighed...

nandu: amms i understand the society and all but this is not India... no one will say a thing... she said frowning while amms looked at her with love...

amms: hum baki sab ki baat nahi kar rahe hai kanna... log tho hamesha keh the hi rahenge... par ye baat aap ke amma appa ke bare me hai... you dont want them to be sad right... you dont need to say yes... just agree to meet him... she said while nandu nodded silently...

amms: accha ab aap so jaiye....kal office hai na... der tak jaagna teek nahi hai... good night... she said kissing her head while nandu hugged her tightly before wishing her good night... amms made her way out of the room... nandu stood up and went towards her bed she laid down and looked at her starry ceiling...

*aiyappa please keep my family happy and healthy... and i hope amma stops searching for my so-called potential husband... if somehow i did get married then please let him be a better person... i don't need a really good husband but a person who can treat me with respect... looking back i really can't expect anything from them...* she thought sadly before closing her eyes and welcoming sleep...

next morning amms came and woke nandu up as usual... nandu went and got changed...every Monday they would have yoga day, every Wednesday was they would have Zumba and every Saturday they would play games in the morning for vitamin D... this was all scheduled by none other than nandu... she wanted everyone to be healthy at the same time not too tired so she left a day or two rest... she changed to her gym outfit...

she went down to be greeted by everyone... she nodded and went out for her jog every morning... soon after 15-20 minutes she came back and went straight to her room to fresh up...

she came down and sat in the dining area... she greeted everyone in the way...

nandu: good morning amma, appa, rishu and amms... she said while everyone too wished her... her mom dearest came and stood in front her... looking at the attire nandu knew she was going to her NGO...

ishi: ummm... nandu... i called the pandit ji... he gave me their number... i talked to nyonika ji about our meeting... we decided to meet on this saturday... are you free... she said hesitatingly... while nandu sighed...

nandu: ok amma... i will clear my schedule and meet him... you know i never say no to anything you ask... she said while ishita jumped in happiness and hugged the daylight out of nandu who smiled a little seeing her mother's happiness...

ishi: ahhh... thank you sooo much beta... you made me soo happy... i will start making preparation ok... and i am going to meet nyonika ji today... she said and went away humming some tune in happiness... while nandu shook her head in disbelief as there were still 2 days left and her mumma dearest was starting her preparations from now only... and on the top of that she was already meeting the boy's mom...

nandu had her breakfast and left to musical styles... some people were going to perform for her so that she could select a band from them...

nandini was very furious... the bands who were performing were worst than the trainees in her company...

* are they trying to insult me by bringing them to me... well, well then i will return it twice to them... so the next time they come here, they would learn to respect music, which is never...* nandu thought smirking and walked into the recording room...

nandu: are you deaf... cant you even hear your voice even if it is this loud... if you seriously continue to sing like this i swear i will throw you out of my company... she said glaring at them while they looked at her from top to bottom...

person1: kids shouldn't come here... go back to your mom kid... he looking at her from top to bottom...

* kid... DID HE JUST CALL "ME" A KID... literally K.I.D... damn man i thought to go easy on you... too bad...* she glared at him while the people in the recording room were literally sweating seeing someone call their BOSS a kid...

nandu: oh excuse me... i am not a kid... so better watch your words before you regret it... and you should seriously learn some music... she said smirking while the person raised his brow in gesture...

person: oh... and you are going to teach me... he said pointing out to her... while nandu rolled her eyes...

nandu: no... i don't want to waste my time on someone as useless as you... and you all are messing up the notes... do you even know how to read a music sheet... she said scoffing a little while the person clenched his fist in anger...

person: then i challenge you... prove yourself then i won't question you anymore... you can do as you please but if you lose then you will listen to me... he said while she smirked...

nandu: alright... i accept it... whats your name... she said while raised his brow in a cocky way...

person: why... interested in me or what... he said while she scoffed loudly...

nandu: me... and you!!! never... ewww... she said while he glared at her...

person: Siddharth Singhania... he said with attitude while nandu smirked...

nandu: meet you tomorrow Mr. Singhania... 10:30 here at musical styles... she said and turned around when sid called her...

Sid: hey you what's your name... he called out to her while nandu turned around and smirked...

nandu: nandini... she said and turned around to go...

Sid: nandini... lets see what you got... he thought out loud... the person beside him shook him a little....

person2: yaar Sid come out of your daydream... we need to head back... he said while Sid pouted...

Sid: see like i said it was a waste of time coming here... now we have to go all the way back home... too tiring... Maddy give me a piggy back ride... he said lifting his hands while Maddy aka person2 aka madhyam sanghania looked at him as if he grew two heads...

Maddy: if you want me to 'drag' you home... then of course i will... he said smiling sarcastically... while Sid make a sheepish smile and said no problem i have legs i better use them... seeing their interaction all of their team mates bust out laughing... though it was normal but every time they fight it will turn out hilariously...

person3: accha chalo guys lets go... enough of your drama... she said while they looked at her...

Maddy/Sid/person4: aye aye captain Sana... they said at a time and laughed... while she pouted...

sana: not you too karan... she said...

karan: as you say madam... he smirked at her teasingly... while finally she too laughed...

they soon left from there...

manik was typing something in his laptop (like me 😍😁) when nyonika came in...

nyo: mannu... mein ne ishita ji ko call kiya tha... hum ne date Saturday ko decide kiya... tum free ho na beta... she said caressing his hair while he turned towards her and held her hands...

manik: mumma no touching my hair... and i will clear my schedule on Saturday ok... he said while nyonika nodded while smiling...

nyo: accha mannu i am going to meet ishita ji now... take care of yourself and don't work too much... she said and went away humming a sweet tune...  while manik shook his head in disbel watching her skip on her feet...

manik continued to read his emails when his phone rang... it was aliya...

aliya/ dhruv/ mukthi: manik malhotra... i soo hate you... they said at a time while manik closed his ears unable to hear their loud shout...

manik: accha and what else... he said rolling his eyes while FAB3 frowned...

mukthi: why did i hear that you are going to get married bhai... and when i 'asked' cabir he too said the same thing... she said while manik imagined how mukthi asked him and smirked pitying cabir who became a victim of the lady hulks anger...

dhruv: buddy where are you... are you ok... who is the unluc... i mean lucky girl...

aliya: manik you should have informed me before na... now how will i shop in this less time... and my dress, make up... ah... she said holding her head while FAB4 rolled their eyes...

cabir: make up kit ko humesha make up hi soojtha hai... he said while aliya shouted cabir...

dhruv: accha baby calm down wo joke kar raha tha... he said calming aliya...

cabir: yeah joke hi tha aur kya ho ga... make up kit... he said sarcastically while aliya glared him angrily...

manik: accha everyone shut up right now... he said not wanting to listen anymore of their nonsense... hearing some silence manik smiled...

manik: good and yes i am getting married... i will send you invitations if it is decided... i know everyone is already here... but no you guys are not coming with me to meet the girl... and muku tujhe pata hai na... mom ne bataye bhi... he said...

mukthi: ha par i thought it was like any other meeting... bhai i tho am coming for sure now... she announced while everyone was soon busy discussing his wedding ignoring him... and cut the call...

cabir: ha like they will listen... i think by now they must have postponed their meetings here... he said while manik raised his brow...

manik: cabir don't you think you have a lot of free time nowadays... he said while cabir hurriedly cut the call saying mujhe koi bula raha hai bye... listening to him manik laughed...

he soon resumed to his emails... and started typing his response...

it was evening nandu reached home and went in only to be greeted by her mom dearest jumping up and down in happiness...

ishi: nanduuuuuu... she shouted and hugged nandini who was shocked beyond recovery... not really as she came out of trace...

nandu: amma kya huva aap kyu jump kar rahi ho... she asked while ishita smiled widely...

ishi: i meet nyonika ji today... we had so much fun today... she is such a good person... i am now assured that i will be sending you to the right house... you know and we went to the NGO and then met all the children... she too likes children very much... she said and kept on rambling while nandu patiently listened to her with a small smile... meanwhile this all was watched by amms...

amms: meri nandu bohot acchi bacchi hai... please aiyappa take care of my kanna... she prayed silently...

when nyonika came home she too went near manik and hugged him tightly...

nyo: mannu i think i found you the right girl... she said while manik smiled...

though nyonika didn't meet nandini yet she was somehow convinced that she was good after meeting her mother... she talked to manik about their meet... she stayed for a while talking then went away to make dinner... meanwhile manik leaned against the chair and pinched his nose bridge...

*though everything is happening according to my calculation but i somehow feel guilty... maybe its because i am spoiling someone else's dream of getting a happy marriage... but there is no turning back... and i still need to get married someday or the other right so why not now... hmm that's right... ok manik concentrate he thought and started working again on a project...*

nandu finally went up after her mom dearest left her to make dinner... she sat and rested her head on her sofa thinking deeply....

*amma seems to like them... i don't know if its a facade or real... hope they really are nice people... but who is nice nowadays... cant believe anyone... not anymore...* she thought looking at her ceiling... her thoughts were interrupted by none other than navya...

navu: baby are you seriously gonna marry... she asked without a hello or hi straight to the point...

nandu: hello to you to navya... she said sarcastically while navya rolled her eyes...

navu: ok fine... now tell me what is happening... she shouted while nandu rolled her eyes at her overdramatic personality...

nandu: accha fine... i don't know anything about it yet but yeah i am meeting the guy... that too on this Saturday... she said while navya was silent...

navu: nandu you are ok right... she asked while nandu smiled at her concern...

nandu: of course navya... i am and don't worry... by the way when are you coming back... she asked changing the topic... while navya too followed her lead and changed the topic...

navya: nanduuuuuu... i am coming back tonight... and i still need to protect my sheep from all the bad wolfs... she muttered the last line while nandu chuckled... they talked for sometime...

nandu sat down near the window... it became a habit for her to watch the sky before going to bed... as she thought...
