After such a long day, everyone in the murthy family retired to home... they wanted to talk but were very tired... raman and DJ sat on the sofa while Ishita and Amms went to the kitchen to prepare some refreshments...

Nandu came inside after parking her car... she looked at her dad and immediately went to sit beside him...

She hugged him while raman caressed her hair while bear hugging her...

Raman: meri princess... kitni badi ho gayi hai... apne appa se door jaa rahi hai... he said resting his chin oh her head... while nandu rested her head near his heart...

Nandu: appa aap mujhe miss karenge na... she asked while raman hummed...

Nandu: appa, mujhe dar lag raha hai... she muttered softly while raman tightened his hold...

Raman: meri bacchi, agar manik ne tumhe kuch bhi kaha toh mujhe bata dena... i will kick his ass for you... he said making nandu chuckle at her cool appa...

DJ: haha... tum... jaa, kisi aur ko apni kahaani bata... nandu meri bandar, apne DJ ke paas hi aayegi... hai na... he said sarcastically while Raman made a look like he was offended gravely... nandu giggled at first but pouted at her nickname...

Nandu: nahiiiiiii me appa ke paas hi jaa ungi... she said showing her tongue and ran away to her room before DJ could even stand up...

DJ: oye bandar wapas aa... he shouted making nandu giggle while the other laughed heartily... navya too made her way to nandu's room...

In Nandu's room...

Nandu sat near her window like always with a small smile on her face...

Navya: someone's glowing... she teased as she entered the room... nandu didnt turn towards her but rolled her eyes...

Navya went towards her and back hugged her while throwing her hands around her neck...

Navya: my baby's getting married... she said rubbing her head with nandu's...

Nandu held her hands tightly...

Nandu: do you think i can do this... i think i am having second thoughts... she said while navya patted her head...

Navya: its time to move on... baby... its time to accept something new... she said while nandu leaned against her...

Nandu: manik lives in new york... same as them... she said while navya sighed...

Navya: you are going to face them... someday... why not like this... common... manik malhotra, reowned businessman with i dont know how may crores on his name... he is the best we could find... his family is good, friendly... you have already talked about the contract... she spoke while nandu showed her the contract pictures...

Navya: ok, you already signed the contract... he agrees with all your stupid conditions... now what... she said while nandu smiled sadly...

Nandu: i know navu... its just that... she trailed off gazing at the window...

Navya: its love baby... you want love... she said nandu frowned at that word...

Nandu: no navu... i dont need it... we are friends i hope to stay that way... she spoke quite harshly if i may add...

Navya: keep denying baby... but you need to accept some day that you carve love... your heart is tired of hating... she said patting her head and turned to leave...

Nandu: but why isnt my mind on the same page as my heart... last time i heard my heart, it broke me into millions of tiny pieces... then how can you guarantee that this time would be any different... she asked while navya had a small smile grasing her lips...

Navya: last time, you were young and naive... so was your heart... but now you have changed... you are mature and clear minded... you had your second chance... then why cant you  give the same to your heart... it may lead you to a new path... she said before softly closing the door... she turned around to see amms looking at her with tears... she smiled gently as she hugged her...

Amms: my little girl is big now... she said as she caressed navya's hair...

Navya: obviously... after all i am Navya, navya naveli... she said raising her collar in james bond style while amms shook her head before muttering badmash...

They both went down leaving nandu in a deep thought...

*aiyappa... i will leave everything to you... please dont let him break my heart...*

She thought as she looked at the sky which was dark now...

Meanwhile, malhotra mansion...

Manik was sitting in his room typing some information in his laptop...

He securely kept the papers in his bookshelf...

He was trying to distract himself from the unwanted thoughts he was getting about the wedding...

Neyo came inside the room to see his frown...

She went near her and sat in front of him on the bed...

Neyo: mannu... she called him softly... while manik looked at her and smiled before closing his laptop...

Manik: yes, mumma... he said while neyo patted her lap... he smiled again before settling his head in her lap...

Neyo: mera mannu shaadi karne wala hai... she said caressing his hair while manik just closed his eyes...

Manik: mumma... do you like her... nandini i mean... he said...

Neyo: of course i like her... she will fit right away in our family, i can bet on that... she said happily while manik hummed...

Manik: will she be able to adjust... he asked while neyo smiled...

Neyo: toh ye hai tumhara problem... she said making manik smile...

Neyo: mannu... dont worry too much... just let it go with the flow... apna dil jo kehtha hai wo kar... i know shaadi ho rahi hai and all... you know when your dad wanted to marry me i was soo nervous that one day i even decided to run away... that time my mom explained me not to worry... its just a phase... let it go... she said while manik burried his head in her stomach...

Neyo: accha uth... i have so many things to do... common... she said while manik groaned... but he sat up and neyo went away...

Manik looked at his phone which was on the bed... he didnt even know when he took hold of it and opened nandu's contact number...

He realised what he was going to do and was about to hit the back button when...

Neyo: Mannu... she shouted from down... he jumped slightly... his phone slipped from his hand... he took a deep breath...

He picked it up and rubbed it silghtly against his pant...

Manik: yes mumma... he called back...

Neyo: kal office jaana hai... sleep early... she said while manik muttered an ok...

He switched on his phone to see nandu's number...

He frowned slightly and widened his eyes when he realised he called nandu...

He threw his phone on his bed...

Voice: hello... she spoke...

Manik slowly took the phone and held it near his ear...

Nandu: hello... manik... she said frowning looking at her phone as no one was speaking...

Manik: ahem... hello... he said...

Nandu: hmm, hi... so... she said laying on her bed while he too laid down on his...

Manik: so...? he repeated making nandu roll her eyes... manik silently cursed himself for his stupidity...

Nandu: why did you call... she said finally...

Manik: ummm... well, the........ the contract... yes, the contract... you have kept it safe right... he spoke hurriedly while nandu frowned again...

Nandu: didnt i give my contract to you... she said making him hit his head...

Manik: yeah, yeah... i was asking if you checked all the conditions you put forth are written or not... he said while nandu hummed...

Nandu: did you just call for this... she asked softly looking at the stars on her ceiling... her eyes were drooping slightly...

Manik: ummm, well... he trailed off... his voice was smooth...

*Manik malhotra... you stupid idiot... kuch toh soch... kya kahoon, kya kahoon... please koi idea dedoooo...*

Manik: yeah, i... i called to ask if we could have a deal... i mean you are a producer right... so maybe we could... he said trailing off again...

Nandu: well, you need to sing and prove yourself... i have to be fair you know... she said while manik chuckled...

Manik: do you wanna hear me sing... he asked mischievously... while nandu widened her eyes...

Nandu: are you serious... she said yawning a little...

Manik: if you want me too... he said while nandu hummed... (ignore the female part...)

Manik started humming in his soulful voice... hearing his voice bought nandu goosebumps... even in the phone his voice was really good...

She herself was amazed by him... she never felt like that for anyone since long... she suddenly felt an impulse... as if she wanted to write a song... nandu immediately stood up with her phone in her hand... she put the phone on speaker... she went towards her desk... all her sleepiness vanished into thin air...

Nandu kept on writing music notes... they were kind of broken in middle because she couldnt think... but this actually never happened... she would usually search in her old tracks she created while she was in new york... before that incident... every song she wrote was for them...

After that incident although music never left her she couldnt compose new tracks any more... she would just brain strom all the previous tracks to make a new one...

Aldrin rushed into her blood... tears began to spill from her big doe eyes... she quickly wiped them... she wasnt crying... it was just tears, it wasnt due to sadness... but due to aldrin...

Manik ended the song skilfully while nandini was speechless...

Manik: umm, nandini... you didnt sleep on me right... he humored as he couldnt hear her response...

Nandu: no, no, no... its just i was too immersed... she said...

Manik: ohh immersed in my singing ha... he said raising his brow while nandu rolled her eyes but her smile betrayed her...

Nandu: manik... she said while manik chuckled...

Manik: yes, nandini... he said in the same tone as her...

Nandu: argh... she groaned while standing up from her place... she fell on the bed directly still talking with him...

They talked about random things...

Manik: yeah, so thats how i dealt with them... he said laughing...

Manik: umm, nandini... he called...

But heard no response... he frowned and looked at the screen to see the call didnt end...

Manik: nandini... he spoke softly this time... he heard soft breaths in the back ground and understood that she was sleeping...

He didnt know why he didnt cut the call but actually slept with the cell near his ear...

Her breathing was like music to him... subconsciously it made him smile...

*we really have a long way to go... she would really be a nice friend...*

He thought smiling at their convo before sleeping...
