The Hunt

Artemis was fuming, she had to have a guardian and it was a male. She was mad at the boy standing before her. The cute way he was smirking at her. Wait no she's a maiden goddess, she shouldn't be thinking these vile thoughts. She would make this a living hell for him.

The hunters gathered around her. 'Hunters Zeus has decided that we need a guardian. And his name is Perseus' she said. The hunters groaned. 'But milady this is a place for only girls why does this boy have to be with us' a huntress spat out. 'I know Phoebe I don't like it either but what choice do I have Zeus ordered it' she said to her.

Artemis turned and looked at Perseus. 'Address my hunters and don't you dare try anything with them' Perseus put his hand up in a surrender, he turned and looked at the hunters. 'Alright my name is Perseus as you all know. I am here to assist you with what you need but mostly I will be training you' he said ducking under a knife.

'Please refrain from throwing knives at me' he said glaring at the girl who threw it. 'I am the primordial god of wolves, elements, the moon and hunting'. 'Stop lying boy, you are no god of the moon or hunting lady Artemis is the goddess of that' Phoebe spat out.

Perseus looked at her, his eyes pulsing pure silver. The moon flared dramatically in the night sky. 'Don't underestimate me, none of you guys would last a second against me. Your little goddess is no match for the powers I hold'. His aura flared like the moon. From the sheer power all the hunters including Artemis had to fall to a knee.

He took a deep breath and his aura dropped back to normal just as the moon did. 'Now I will not make any advances towards you that I promise' he said. Artemis stood up and glared at Perseus. 'You will be waking up everyday day at 6 o'clock to cook breakfast for the hunters, you will be doin chores all day long and I only give you 2 hours to train' she spat.

Perseus shrugged 'nothing I can't handle'. He snapped his finger and a silvery green tent appeared on top of the hill. The tent looked down at the hunters camp making it easy for him to view the camp and miles around it.

He clapped his hand and a large feast appeared on the table. 'Eat until your heart is full. The food is unlimited but once the last hunter leaves it will disappear. The dish will also disappear so you don't have to clean anything just eat. Also my wolves will keep guard as you sleep' he said. 'I will be in my tent if you need me' he said waking up the hill.

Artemis just nodded her head. 'Hunters you heard it, eat until your full'. The hunters ran to the pavilion and started stuffing their faces with food.

~Next Morning~

Perseus was woken up with a ice cold bucket of water. Not that he hated it but it was pretty rude of the culprit. He groaned and sat up. 'It's 6 o'clock Perseus rise and shine' Artemis said happily. She turned and walked out of the room. 'The hunters will be up in 30 minutes prepare food' Artemis shouted at him.

He got up and walked to the pavilion. He sat around and waited for the last of the hunters to wake up. Artemis flashed in and looked around. 'You insufferable male you don't get simple orders, I told you to make breakfast half an hour ago and you still didn't' she screeched.

Perseus rolled his eyes and clapped his hands. As yesterday food appeared in large quantities. French toast, scrambled eggs, omelets, and boxes of cereal. You name a breakfast food and it was on the table. He grabbed a box of cereal and poured himself a bowl. He got up and started walking away.

'Perseus come sit next to me' Artemis said. Perseus froze and turned to look at her. 'I think it is highly inappropriate that I eat next to you. I am a male and I do believe your hunters disapprove' he said.

'Nonsense, I order you to sit next to me' Artemis said. Perseus walked over and sat next to her. The hunters scooted away from him like the plague and shoot him glares. Perseus quickly ate and stood up.

'What is my task milady' he asked Artemis. 'I want you to sharpen all the arrows and knives we have. Then do laundry and after that return and make lunch. If you finish early which I highly doubt I want you to setup for your training today with the girls' she said. He nodded his head and walked off.

After a long 2 hours of sharpening weapons and washing laundry Perseus has finally finished his duties. And with thirty minutes to get ready for training. He set up his lessons and  the hunters piled in to the arena.

'Alright today I am training you until I decided you have finished, you won't eat lunch until I say so and I will not go easy at all. Here take the bracelets he said passing them around. These will make you 10x heavier than you are'. The hunters clicked them on and they could barely stand up.

'I want you to give me 100 laps around the air of this forest which spans over 45 miles. Don't even think of walking, You will not go slower than a jog or you will find out the hard way' he said grinning like a mad man. 'Start' he shouted out. The hunters started off in a very slow jog.

While they were running Perseus would do his own training as he knew they would take at least three hours. He clicked on his bracelet which made him a million times heavier and he started his own running. 1,000 laps around the forest.

~Jump~

After a gruesome six hours of running, archery training and hand to hand combat. Perseus decided to let them go and eat lunch. 'Alright stop you guys can go and eat lunch. But first take a shower you all stink' he said laughing.

'You will live with these bracelets. Eat, shower, and sleep with them. You will not be able to take them off until I decide you can. And when I do it will be for good' he said.

The girls left and took a shower and changed to fresh and dry clothes. When the walked into the pavilion there was a hefty amount of food. They ran to it and started stuffing there faces with food. 'Slow down girls the food ain't going nowhere' Perseus said laughing.

Artemis flashed in and pulled Perseus to the side. 'Perseus I need you to go and rescue a daughter of Ares for me, she is in walla walla, Washington. Go pick her up and bring her to me' she said. Perseus nodded his hand and flashed out.

The house he stood was broken down and had beer bottles everywhere. He heard a scream and he kicked the door in. There he found a half naked man who was extremely overweight hunched over a small little girl who looked only six.

'What are you doing in my house' the man grunted out. 'I believe what you are going to do is considered rape and I hate rapist' Perseus said darkly. The man pulled out a gun and started walking to him before a knife sprouted on his head. He fell dead immediately upon contact.

Perseus turned and looked at the little girl. She whimpered and pushed her head deep into her knees. 'Hey I'm not here to hurt you, I'm here to protect you and to take you away to a better place' he said softly. 'That's what uncle said before he became a meany' she said quietly.

'Yes but I'm not like him, I'm different. I will take you to a place where no one can ever hurt you again, I promise you' he said. The girl brought her head up. 'Really' she asked quietly. He nodded his head. He held his arm out and the girl slowly walked to him. But when she knew he wasn't going to hurt her she jumped into his arms.

Her stomach growled loudly. 'What is your name' he asked. 'My name is Eli' she replied. 'Well Eli what do you want to eat. Name anything in the world you want and I will get it for you' Perseus said. 'I want a bowl of Mac n cheese and a cup of apple juice' she said not believing him.

He clapped his hands and a bowl of Mac n cheese appeared with a cup of juice. Eli jumped out of his arms and started eating the food. Perseus just got himself a turkey sandwich. 'Will you be my daddy' Eli asked hopefully. Perseus chocked on his food. He thought of it, it was a good idea plus it would make her feel more happy.

He smiled at her and nodded his head. 'Yes Eli I will be your daddy' he said. Her red eyes gleamed happily and jumped into his arms. He touched her head. He removed every last trace of Ares blood and replaced it with his. When she looked up at him her eyes looked like an exact copy of his.

'Now finish your food so we can leave' he said. Eli jumped down and quickly finished her food. He flashed them to the camp and into his tent. 'Go and take a shower, when you are done there is a fresh new set of clothes waiting for you. I have to go and talk to a friend of mines' he said. Eli walked into the bathroom and stepped into the shower. Perseus left her a hunters uniform.

He stepped out and walked over to Artemis tent. 'Lady Artemis I have finished your task' he said. 'Please just call me Artemis'. 'As long as you call me Percy' he said. 'Very well where is the girl' she asked. 'She is currently in my tent taking a shower and changing into cleaner clothes' he said.

'And the male that was at the house' she asked. 'I gave him a one way ticket to Hades and I personally will ask Hades to give him a personal punishment' he said grinning. 'Alright show me to the girl' Artemis said laughing.

They walked out and walked towards his tent. They stepped in and were greeted by a little girl. 'Pers...Percy  why are her eyes like that, she is a child of area they should have red eyes' Artemis asked him. 'Daddy' shouted Eli happily. She jumped into his arms and gave him a hug.

'You adopted her' she asked incredulously. Percy nodded his head in reply. 'Artemis meet Eli my daughter' Percy said with pride. 'Eli go say hi to Artemis she is a good friend of mine' Perseus said. Artemis turned away trying to hide her blushing from him.

'Hi my name is Eli are you the Artemis from the book thingys I heard someone talking about' she asked jumping around. Artemis laughed, 'yes I am from the book thingys. I am Artemis goddess of the moon' she said. 'That is so cool' she shouted.

'Daddy are you also a god' she asked. 'Yes I am Perseus primordial god of wolves, elements, hunting and also like Artemis the moon' he said. 'Are primordials more better than gods' Eli asked. 'Yes they are, we are cooler and better than the gods, I am the strongest primordial and Artemis is just a godling' he said laughing.

Artemis sneered at him but Percy just waved it off. 'Do you want to be part of the hunt' Artemis asked Eli. 'What is that' Eli asked. 'We are a family and we protect each other. There is only one rule and that is no boys allowed' Artemis told her. 'Eww boys have cooties, yuck' said Eli with a sour face. Artemis laughed. 'Yes they do have cooties' she replied.

'Ok I will join only if daddy can stay with me' Eli said. Artemis nodded her head. 'Ok Eli repeat after me. I Eli, pledge loyalty to Artemis and swear of the company of men'. 'I Eli, ple...ple...' 'pledge honey it's pledge' said Percy.

'I Eli, pledge loyalty to Artemis and swear off the company of men' Eli said. Artemis accepted her oath and gave her blessing to Eli. 'Ok Eli do you want your own tent to sleep in or do you want to stay and live with Percy' Artemis asked her. 'I wanna stay with daddy' she replied.

'Alright Eli you can stay with him, Percy come on it is time for dinner and we need your powers' Artemis said. Percy and Eli followed out to the pavilion. The hunters were there waiting for him. 'About time you came, we were going to die of hunger' Phoebe grunted out.

'Alright you hungry group of girls I'm here to feed you' said Perseus. He clapped his hand a food appeared on the table. He grabbed Eli and himself a plate.
