Chapter 4: Set Into Motion
General P.O.V:
Monday Night Raw, May 16th...
Tonight's episode features a mixed tag team match that was announced last week, pitting Daniel Dalton and Liv Morgan vs. Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley of The Judgment Day. Along with that, AJ Styles and Finn Balor are also scheduled for a tag team match against Los Lotharios.
During the show, a video package recaps the events of last week that led to the ensuing events between the couple and the dark trio. Then, it cuts to a clip taken earlier today before the show. Daniel and Liv are backstage discussing their match tonight before Kevin Patrick walks up with a microphone in hand.
"Excuse me, Liv, Daniel," the Irish interviewer politely interjects. "I know you both have so much on your mind with everything that happened last week and what you are facing tonight. Can I get your mindsets?"
He holds the mic close to them, Liv being the first to speak up.
"Yeah, um, whether Rhea Ripley joins a motorcycle gang, a female rugby team, or even The Judgment Day, she's never gonna get away with this."
Then, her Iron Angel steps in.
"That's right. No matter what the odds are, we never give up the fight. Everyone has seen what we're capable of individually; and now, we're even stronger together. So, if Rhea thinks what she did to Liv last week was bad, or if Damian Priest thinks failing to take this title from me was bad enough, then those two are- what the hell?!"
He's cut off when Los Lotharios suddenly interrupts their interview. They rudely make Kevin Patrick abandon the scene, leaving the poor young couple alone with the intruding tag team.
"Liv, we saw what happened last week, and we are here to comfort you," Angel explains.
Then, Berto follows with, "Yeah, because we're gentlemen who are there for you when you need it the most, unlike this loser was last week."
Daniel grows angry and looks to put these fools in their place, but Liv holds him back as they need their energy for tonight.
"Woah, woah, OK; first of all, this 'loser' is the United States Champion. I don't see any gold around your waists. Second of all, he's been there for me through more than you two could even imagine, and I've been there for him through thick and thin."
"But you don't seem happy at the moment," Angel points out. "We could cheer you up in a way he's neglecting to do right now."
"Like the kiss cam," Berto adds, further enraging the Iron Angel.
"You two are fixing to kiss my ass if you don't scurry off!" He shouted.
The two seemed to be daring the US Champion to make a move until...
"Alright! Alright, Los Creepy Mcgees! Beat your feet!" AJ Styles demands as he and Finn Balor enter to save the day. "Come on!"
"Hasta luego, muchachos," Finn mockingly adds.
"We'll see you guys later tonight," AJ promises as the team begins to retreat, waving at the group mockingly.
"I should've busted their damn mouths shut," Daniel angrily says once they're gone.
"Nah, nah, you did the right thing," Finn Balor, being his mentor, quickly assures. "We'll put them in their place. You need to focus on your match and havin' 'er back tonight."
Daniel nods in agreement as Liv thanks the two veterans for their help.
"But you know," AJ then speaks, "we may have an offer for you two ourselves, one that doesn't involve a kiss cam." The young couple laughs before he continues. "I mean, you have problems with The Judgement Day, we have problems with The Judgement Day, so why don't we uh... join up? Watch each other's backs?" He asks while adjoining his own hands together to better explain his point.
They both seem shocked and a bit hesitant before Finn further explains.
"Dan, Liv, if the four of us work together, we'd have the number's advantage on them; but if we don't, the three members of Judgement Day are gonna pick us apart one by one."
"That's right," AJ agrees. "We need a plan to fight Judgement Day."
"So, how 'bout it, brodder and sister, wanna come join us at ringside tonight? We'll return the favor for your match as well."
The two become surprised while glancing at each other before Liv speaks up.
"Um... we'll think about it."
That's good enough for the two Bullet Club members as they leave the youngsters to discuss it amongst themselves. They do appear quite keen on the offer as they smile at each other.
Not much later in the show, the heel faction themselves are revealed backstage. Edge is sitting on his dark throne with Priest and Ripley on either side of him. Damian states how people should rise and show them respect, then states how they don't take any orders and that they do what they want to whoever they want. Plus, proclaimed that if any precious heroes step up to them, they'll face nothing but punishment. He evilly laughs before Rhea goes on to say that she has embraced the movement and that she enjoyed every second of it. She declares they are done being everything that they, the fans, wanted them to be, and that nothing is holding her back. It is now time for complete and utter eradication.
Edge then speaks up, advising everyone to listen to his saints of fate, because they don't take names or speak lies. He then brags about how they're at the forefront of something most won't understand, but that some out there are tired of pretending. He explains that he has traveled the country and the world and that he sees anger in people's faces. He advises those people to stop being sheep, to join them and their movement, to grab this bolt of electricity and throw some meaning into their lives. He claims that Judgement Day equals power, therefore to accept their gift or continue to, in his words, live their purgatory existence. He continues on that more will join, especially after what they've done to their favorites, and that his arms are wide open to any WWE Superstar who wants to take their career to the next level with his genius guiding their way. He then speaks out to the group itself, particularly Styles, asking if they're happy where they are and attempting to appeal to them to convince them to join, that it's not too late to put the past behind them and join them on top of the mountain. He mentions how the choice is theirs, that this has to end, and that it can end with them standing alongside them or lying at their feet. The segment ends with him tipping the scale next to him, perhaps signifying their judgment if they continue to resist.
After their backstage segment, it is time for some tag team action, starting with Balor and Styles vs Los Lotharios. To the pleasant surprise of everyone, Daniel Dalton is the first to make his entrance before any of the actual competitors do. He's even dressed in full gear, including his angel wings face paint, and does his whole pyro motion before Liv makes her entrance immediately afterward. She walks out with her cute motion before sharing a kiss with her boyfriend on stage. They walk down to the ramp, greeting some of the front-row fans before Finn Balor's music hits. The Prince steps out and makes his classic pose with the crowd before nodding toward Daniel and Liv. Then, the Phenomenal One pops out with his classic motion and pyro before joining his new group. He and Balor do the 'too sweet' exchange before patting Daniel's shoulder and nodding at Liv. The four allies make their way to the ring as the announcer makes the introductions.
"The following is a tag team match scheduled for one fall! Making their way to the ring, accompanied by Liv Morgan and the United States Champion Daniel Dalton! The team of Finn Balor and the Phenomenal A.J. Styles!"
The four enter the ring looking ready to work before the show goes to commercial. When it returns, Los Lotharios make their entrance, which includes their usual kiss cam with certain members of the audience. The four in the ring collectively roll their eyes before Dalton and Morgan exit. The opposing tag team enters the ring while everyone removes their jackets.
Then, the match begins.
For the next ten minutes, the young tag team does an impressive job at holding their own against the veterans, even managing to isolate Styles on a couple of occasions, proving their talent and craft well. However, the chemistry between the former Bullet Club brothers and their veteran instincts reign supreme with their young allies rooting for them from ringside. In the end, a Phenomenal Forearm to Angel followed by a Coup de Grace to Berto was all it took to put away their opponents.
Daniel and Liv enter the ring to celebrate with the victorious tag team, even standing in between them to raise their arms. To make it even cooler, Balor and Styles even offer for them to join in their 'too sweet' moment. It's almost as if they're making their own little makeshift Bullet Club. It's a pretty overwhelming offer, but they join in no less, looking like a strong united front.
The moment is rudely cut short when The Judgment Day's music hits. The crowd boos as the four superstars glare down at the stage, seeing the dark trio stepping out with Priest and Ripley now dressed for their match while Edge remains in his suit from the video segment. The Judgment Day are all smiles as they march down to the ring for the upcoming mixed tag team match. Daniel and Liv assure their teammates that they will take it from here while removing their own jackets, along with Daniel's title. The Judgment Day circle the ring before climbing the apron to strike their powerful and intimidating pose.
A minute later, the two mixed tag teams are standing on opposite ends of the ring, staring daggers at one another.
The match kicks off with Dalton and Priest. The Punisher quickly gains the upper hand with his size and reach advantage, working on the arm of the Iron Angel as Edge coaches him from ringside. Styles and Balor show their support as well, sticking to the promise they made as Daniel tries to fight Priest off. He manages to reverse the standing submission holds, showing off his own slight technical prowess and catching Priest in a side headlock. Damian pushes him off using the ropes and sends him across the ring. Dalton catches the top rope to stop himself before shooting his legs up to keep Damian away. This only further enrages the punisher as he grabs Daniel's throat with both hands. The Iron Angel fights him off with a striking combo before Priest stops him with a hard forearm. With a roundhouse to the gut, he's then able to whip him off the ropes, but Daniel rolls under the clothesline attempt before dropkicking Priest into his corner, where Rhea tags herself in.
She enters the match and once again appears slightly flirtatious towards Daniel. This confuses him for a second before he turns to assist his charging girlfriend, lifting her into a hurricanrana on Rhea. She follows it with a dropkick into the corner before getting fired up and running for an uppercut. Rhea looks to retaliate, but Liv stays quick and agile, moving first into a crucifix attempt before transitioning to an attempted sunset flip. Rhea stays on her feet, soon pulling Liv back up before landing a hard headbutt. Rhea then shows off her fury and power by tossing Liv around. However, she gets a little too cocky for her own good as she shows off for a minute before running into a boot to the face. Liv climbs up the corner and looks for a crossbody, but she's caught in midair. Once again showing her freakish power, Rhea lifts Morgan into a vertical suplex pose and just holds her there. It's hard not to be in awe of her strength. Liv nearly reverses into a cradle, but only gets lifted back up into the same pose.
Then, just as it seems Rhea is about to slam her down, Liv shifts to land back on her feet and nails her with a backstabber. Morgan tries to capitalize, but Ripley rolls out the ring, partially assisted by her partner. Priest helps his good friend catch a breather, but Liv isn't having it, going back to the ropes and diving through to lay out Rhea. Even more surprising, Daniel hops over to the same side on the apron and dives to hit Priest with a meteora. He gives Edge the "suck it" sign before re-entering with Liv. They share another 'too sweet' gesture themselves before Dalton returns to their corner, Morgan moving to return Rhea inside. Liv pounds away at Ripley before being shoved away. As she comes back, she's caught by Ripley's grounded roundhouse kick. Now it's the Eradicator that's pounding away at her. This time, when she lifts her up for a suplex, she wastes little time before slamming her down and going for the cover, only getting a two count.
Liv is quick to return to her feet but receives massive heavy shots from Rhea. Despite this, Morgan keeps fighting on, kicking Rhea away before climbing the corner again. Rhea keeps throwing haymakers to stop her, but the relentless Liv still pulls a diving hurricanrana. She makes a cover herself but gets the same results.
Since she's not getting anywhere with Rhea, she decides to tag her boyfriend back in, but not before giving Rhea a good kick to her rear end. Dalton and Priest meet in the middle of the ring as the two strikers begin slugging it out, looking to finish their own business during this match. Once again, Damian's reach and strength give him the advantage as he forces Daniel into the corner with his kicks and uppercuts. He then whips him into the opposite corner before flying into his back elbow, which Dalton evades and causes him to crash into the turnbuckles. Daniel increases the damage with a flying crossbody, causing Priest to stumble closer to his corner while holding on to the rope. Daniel heads back to the opposite ropes and returns with a running knee. He sends a wink down at Edge before looking to follow with a running bulldog, but Damian keeps his grip on the rope despite being dazed, not allowing Dalton to take him down. He then manages to pull Daniel back and lift him into a back suplex that sends him to the outside. Dalton lands awkwardly and with a loud thud, scaring many people in attendance, especially his girlfriend. Edge sadistically laughs and applauds the Iron Angel before Priest rolls to the outside. He lifts Daniel on his shoulder and drops him head-first on the apron. Dalton bounces back to the floor as The Judgment Day now has total control with the show going to a commercial break.
When Raw comes back on air, Daniel and Damian are both on the mat as Liv, Finn, AJ, and the whole arena call for him to make a hot tag. Rhea is shouting for Priest to stop him from making the tag, which he does by grabbing at his foot. Daniel rises to fight him off with an enziguri, but Damian ducks and tries to lift him back up, only for Dalton to crawl back under him and try and jump over him for the tag. He is so close to Liv, but Damian throws him back before landing another uppercut. The US Champion is dazed but still on his feet. He counters with a bicycle knee strike before running to the ropes closest to Liv while Priest tries to stop him. Daniel drops while pulling the top rope down, sending Priest over and to the outside. Liv is jumping on the apron as Daniel moves desperately, but Priest quickly pops back up on the apron to grab him. Daniel breaks free and knocks him back off with a Pele kick before jumping and making the tag at last. The crowd comes alive with Styles and Balor as Morgan charges at Rhea, ducking under a clothesline before laying into the Eradicator. She then connects with her kicking combo, knocking Rhea for a loop as she stumbles to a corner, where Liv lands a running knee. She rolls back, but Ripley avoids the next attack before running into an elbow. Liv then hops up the ropes before landing a diving dropkick. Liv kicks up and shouts with fury as she charges again, taking Rhea's hand and springboarding off the ropes for a Codebreaker. She makes the cover but only gets a two-count.
Morgan returns to her feet, feeling the energy as she awaits for Ripley to get back up. She soon does, using the ropes to help, granting a perfect opportunity for Liv to go for Oblivion. She connects her to the ropes, but Edge grabs the back of her tights to save her just as Priest jumps up the apron to distract the referee's attention. Liv lands hard on the mat before Rhea makes the pin with Morgan's legs over her shoulders, putting all her weight on to keep her shoulders on the mat.
Luckily, they also have friends on the outside as AJ charges into a running forearm to knock Edge back before Finn grabs Rhea's feet from outside to pull her off the cover before the three count. He ducks behind the ring while the ref's attention is taken by Styles beating Edge. Priest comes storming to send the two veterans stepping back. He helps Edge back to his feet as Rhea watches the unfolding events from in the ring. Unknown to them, the Iron Angel is charging in and leaping over the ropes, along with Ripley, to take down Edge and Priest in a sudden, shocking instant. Rhea looks on in anger before having to return her attention to Liv, who is still down and wounded from a minute ago. She lifts her to her feet from behind, looking for Riptide, but Liv turns it into a sunset flip pin!
"One! Two! Three!!!"
The crowd cheers as the underdog couple gets the victory, Balor and Styles jumping for joy before applauding the two youngsters. Liv gleefully grins now that she and Daniel have won their first mixed tag team match with each other. Finn and AJ return inside the ring to help Liv up and celebrate with her, but the celebration is cut short when Edge and Damian enter as well for a brawl out. Liv rushes to the side to avoid getting caught in the crossfire as the Rated R Superstar catches Finn with a spear before ground and pounding with Priest laying into AJ.
It's looking bad again before Daniel jumps in to nail Edge with his rolling stunner! Liv also hits Rhea with Oblivion, ensuring she doesn't try anything either, while Dalton turns Damian for the Heaven's Light Codebreaker. Priest and Ripley are down and out, leaving Edge all alone as he staggers to his feet. Once he makes it back up, he's met with a Phenomenal Forearm to knock him back down. Finn is back to his feet as Edge gets pulled closer to a corner. Balor and Dalton glance at each other, already thinking the same thing as they head to either side of the corner. First, Balor climbs up to hit Edge with Coup de Grace! Then, Daniel does the same to land the Angel Splash!
Edge is not getting back up, nor is anyone of The Judgment Day. The four victorious individuals stand tall once again, this time with no one to crash the moment. The war may not be over, but this battle was theirs, proving their new hand against the heel stable, proving that they will not go quietly when challenged to a fight. They share one last 'too sweet' before Daniel shares a kiss with Liv and once again receives his title from Balor, raising it high above as the group raise their arms in triumph for tonight.

Benjamin's P.O.V:
After the match, we all paid a trip to the Trainer's Room, wanting to get a quick check-up just to be safe, especially after some of the crazy bumps we took. Me and Gionna were too happy to feel any pain though. We had always fantasized about doing a tag match together. Plus, I had never gotten to team with a romantic partner in a match before, which made my heart leap for joy now that I have. I hope this isn't the only time it happens too.
Me and Gionna sat on the beds next to each other while the others sat across from us.
"Are you sure you're OK?" Gio sweetly asked. "That flip to the outside looked a little scary."
"Hehe, trust me, that's far from the scariest spot I've ever done, although that was pretty thrilling," I lightly joked while she rolled her eyes and gave me a playful slap to the shoulder. "Ow, hey, I'm already beat up enough."
She giggled at that.
"Yeah, well better be careful then, mister thrill seeker," she warned and I laughed before switching my attention to the people across from us.
"How 'bout you guys? Y'all OK?"
"Oh, yeah, all good here," Edge promised. "Besides, you don't get to where I'm at without being a tough bastard."
"Amen, brotha," Luis nodded with a respectful fist bump to his chest.
"I am glad we finally got to do this," Liv mentioned.
"Me too, and I told you it would work out great," I replied and she giggled, having been a little nervous about the match earlier.
"I know, I know, I was just nervous about how we'd do and how people would take it, but it was great. I'm proud of us," she grinned.
"Me too. How 'bout we add in a little date night later, just you and me?"
She perked up at the offer.
"Sounds perfect!"
We shared another smooch before Rhea chimed in.
"Oi! Get a room you two!" We both giggled at her. "Seriously though, I'm proud of you guys as well."
"Thanks, Demi," Gio grins.
"Thanks, Aus," I replied. "Things are really setting into motion for us now. It's gonna be interesting seeing how it all turns out."
"I agree, speaking of which... when are we gonna bring this up with Racheal?" Demi brought up.
"Soon," I smiled with promise. "Next week is gonna be her first appearance on Raw."
"Oooo, how so?" She excitedly asked while I just smirked.
"You'll see."

Racheal's P.O.V:
NXT, May 17th...
I pull up to the NXT arena with my usual excitement with Grace by my side as always. I'm not scheduled for a match tonight, but big things are happening tonight that will lead to some big matches for me soon.
Before we get to all of that, Beth catches up to me before the show again on the way to my locker room.
"Hey, sweetie," she kindly greets as always. "I heard someone is soon to be working two shows."
I nervously chuckled, not surprised at all that she found out.
"Sorry I didn't say anything before," I quickly apologized with embarrassment. "I'm still wrapping my head around the whole thing."
"I understand that," she nods.
"But since you brought it up, what do you think about me being on Raw and NXT?" I asked, always wanting my mentor's honest opinion.
"I think it's amazing, it sure does show ambition, not to mention growth; and you need this progress too, you've earned it." I blushed from her words before she asked, "How about you? How are you feeling about it?"
"Excited and nervous like usual," we both chuckled. "I know the travel might be a little hectic, but it'll be worth it to me. I do wanna ask what it was like for you back when you were on Raw?"
"Oh, well, Raw and the women's division were both very different back then; and even now, Raw is still different from this show, and not just because of the bigger crowds either, but I think you're ready for it."
"You really believe so?" I asked with hope and nervousness at once.
"I know it, and I know your father and Hunter know it too. You're gonna bring a big, fresh new flavor to Monday Nights."
She spoke with so much promise and optimism, not to mention confidence in me. It always brings a smile to my face when she does this for me. It also makes me feel even more confident in myself whenever I tackle something new. I thank her for her kind words as always while hoping to prove her right, especially that everything does indeed go well in this new chapter in my career.
Now, the show is happening as it shows a recap of the events that occurred last week. The montage included my title defense against Mandy and Shotzi, plus the malicious attack I gave the former following my victory and the interview I had backstage. Not only that, it also showed the match that occurred between Natalya and Cora Jade. An impressive match that made Cora look like a real future star. As for the Queen of Harts, she still has a little more in store for her return to NXT.
Following the end of the montage, the show cuts to the veteran herself alone backstage with a message.
"Last week, I taught that little girl, Jade, what a real woman's wrestler looks like; and now, another little girl, and I mean that in every sense of the term 'little,' is pretending to be the measuring stick of this once great division, now overrun by a bunch of young brats who think they are the next big thing. I am talking about the NXT Women's Champion who thinks she is the best thing in wrestling right now; but just like Cora Jade, her work ethic is zero comparison to mine. If she really thinks she is as good as she thinks she is, I would like her to step up and see what a real champion looks like."
The show then cuts to Mandy barging into my Dad's office, looking unhappy.
"I don't care what Natalya wants. You saw what she did to me after the match last week. I should get a rematch, one on one this time."
Pops looks at her baffled.
"Mandy, you lost, you tapped out. That means it's the back of the line for you."
"If that had been one on one like it should've been, I would be the Women's Champion right now and you know it!"
"Make up whatever excuses you want, you lost. If you want another opportunity, you have to earn it," he further explains, which Mandy just scoffs at.
"I know what this is really about, Shawn. You can't protect your little hound forever."
Now my dad looks shocked.
"I'm protecting her?! Mandy, I think it's obvious after last week that I'm protecting you from her! I've never seen her that way before and whatever's going on with her, I don't think you want to be on the receiving end of it again."
Mandy just angrily stares at him for a moment before declaring, "This isn't over," and exiting the office.
Shortly afterward, there was a video package with Indi Hartwell, a good personal friend of mine and an old rival in the ring, talking about how quickly she fell from the top where she used to be, referring to her time with The Way and as a women's tag team champion. Now, she is looking to climb back up and is calling her shot.
That's three women who are looking for an opportunity against me. Clearly, things needed to be addressed. So, a little over half an hour into the show, I went out to address my new challengers.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Please welcome the N.X.T. Women's Champion! The White Wolf, Racheal Moonster!!!!" The announcer says once my entrance song hits and the crowd goes wild as usual.
I strut out with my cowgirl hat and championship belt as always, waving and posing for the crowd before making my way to the ring. I enter and I give a wave to Beth and Vic before shooting my tongue at Wade, causing the fans to giggle. I'm then given a microphone from ringside before I start speaking.
"What's up NXT Universe!" They cheer, but I can tell some are a bit weary of me after my actions last week, just how I like. "So, Mandy Rose obviously didn't learn her lesson from last week, Indi is looking to strike out on her own now, and little miss Natalya seems to think she can come into MY house, question MY work ethic, and start making demands!" The crowd starts booing before I continue. "I said it last week and I'll say it again, anyone who needs a reminder of just what I am capable of, of the kind of champion that I am, I'll be more than happy to serve that reminder on a cold hard dish; and Natalya, I don't care what you've done or who your family is. You do NOT come into my home and start desecrating it all because you're scared of one day being replaced by someone here! But I have a deal here: I know all three of you are here tonight, so how 'bout tonight, you three ladies duke it out to see who will face me for the title next?!"
The crowd cheers at that idea before Pops comes out to ensure I am good with this option before making it official.
Once the main event match happens, Natalya ends it by locking in the Sharpshooter on Hartwell. Mandy was laid out by Indi and in no way could break the hold, leaving her with no choice but to tap out. The crowd boos as Natalya is declared the winner and new number 1 contender. I give her little time to celebrate before her music is interrupted by my own. I come out with my title and microphone as me and the Queen of Harts stared down across the room.
"Alright, Natalya! Clearly, you want this match badly since the others weren't good enough! Fine, have it your way. As a matter of fact, why don't we have this match in YOUR house, your turf, on the main roster!" The fans grow shocked and excited by that as Natalya grins, definitely on board with that option. "It won't be on Smackdown this Friday since you're signed with them. I want to make this a slightly more even playing field. Let's do this next week on Monday Night Raw!"
Natalya nods with eagerness as the fans and the commentators voice their excitement and surprise.
"Next week, after all you tried to do to NXT, I am going to embarrass you just like my father used to embarrass your uncle Bret back in the day."
Her grin quickly faded as the audience felt the tension of that statement. I raise my title high in the air while Natalya clenches her fist. If looks could kill, she would have me set on fire right now. The show ends with our distant stare-off, the audience knowing that this was going to be an epic clash of two second-generation wrestlers from opposite ends of a massive family feud.
X
Once we get backstage, Natalya catches up to me and Pops for a quick chat.
"Hey, Rach! Great promo work out there," she compliments. "I hafta say though, that last bit sounded a little heel-ish."
"Hehe, that's what I was going for," I chuckled proudly. "I hope it didn't strike a nerve, though."
"Oh, not at all. If anything, I know that has a lot of people talking, which will bring even more eyes to our match," she stated with excitement, which I agreed with. "How do you feel about your first main roster match?"
"Well, you already know how badly I've wanted to face you and under these circumstances? It honestly sounds perfect."
"I'm glad, and I also feel proud to be your first main roster opponent. I want you to know that," she smiled.
"Awww, thanks, Nat," I said before we shared a hug.
"This is going to be a great match," she predicted, which I wholeheartedly agreed with.
We then went our separate ways, Nattie to her locker room to take a shower and get changed, while I went back to my dad's office to help him out and talk before heading home.
I am excited about being on the main roster with my Angel and having my first main roster bout with Nattie. We both are excited about it.
It is going to be a thing of beauty!
