3rd person P.O.V:
The Eradicator
Monday Night Raw, February 28th, 2022. WWE Hall of Famer, the Rated R Superstar Edge viciously attacks AJ Styles after the Phenomenal One answered his open challenge for Wrestlemania, sparking the veteran's first heel turn in over a decade. On Sunday, April 3rd, the two clashed at the grandest stage of them all in which a distraction from Damien Priest garnered the win for Edge. As a result, this sparked the beginning of a new group set to take WWE by storm, The Judgment Day.
Behind the scenes, Edge had wondered who else could become the next addition to the new group, in which Priest had the perfect suggestion. This brings us to Sunday, May 8th, Wrestlemania Backlash when Styles and Edge collided for a rematch.
Styles was on the top turnbuckle, looking to finish this after already taking out Priest for his attempted interference. However, a hooded figure shoved him off while the ref wasn't looking, allowing Edge to lock in the cross-face submission hold and choke AJ out. The Rated R Superstar briefly celebrated his victory while AJ rolled out of the ring. Then, while kneeling in the center of the ring, the hooded figure comes in, kneeling before him as well before Edge rises and instructs the new recruit to rise. Afterward, the music stops playing and everyone watches on wondering just who this new mystery person is. Then finally, the hood comes down and the big reveal is made.
Rhea Ripley!
She famously glances over her shoulder toward the hard cam, smirking so devilishly as Edge laughs. The two then stand tall and proud, shoulder-to-shoulder as they raise their arms in victory. The Judgment Day's theme song restarts as the unholy union continues to grow along with their dominance.
Once they get back to guerilla, they're applauded for their work as Damien welcomes her to the alliance with a hug.
"Thanks for recommending me for this, mate," she graciously expresses.
"Hey, my honor," he kindly replied. "Besides, we both needed this."
"Amen, dude. It feels good to be bad again," she grinned.
"That it does," Edge admits with an arm around each of their shoulders, escorting them through backstage like a proud father. "You two feeling excited for this?" He asked as they walked and Damien was the first to answer.
"Man, this is the most excited I've been in a while."
"Same here, I feel like this is perfect for us," Rhea agreed. "I can't wait to see what we do."
"I can't wait to see who else we decide to bring in," Damien replied.
"Which reminds me, Rhea?" Edge mentions, snatching up the Australian's attention. "I'd like to ask, who else do you think we should bring in?"
"Hmm, that's a good question actually," she starts to wonder. "I haven't really thought about that yet."
"If it helps, something to keep in mind," Damien says, "it's gotta be someone who needs the elevation, someone who also could use a refreshing change in their career here."
Rhea stops walking as she gets to thinking about another potential, struggling Superstar who could use the push. Edge and Damien watch her curiously, growing wondrous once she grows a smirk.
"You know what? I may have somebody, and I think you guys are gonna love it...."
The Angel
Monday, May 9th, the next day. A car is pulling up to the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut for Monday Night Raw later tonight. The car pulls into a private parking area for the superstars and employees specifically before pulling into a spot and being put in park. The engine is switched off before the driver's side and passenger doors open. Out of the driver's seat steps out the current United States Champion in WWE, the Iron Angel, Daniel Dalton. He moves to the trunk with the keys in his hand, popping it open, along with the woman who stepped out the passenger side, Gionna Daddio, better known to the world as Liv Morgan, who is also the woman he has been happily dating for almost two years now. They've kept it private from the public for the most part, but are known by most of their colleagues in the locker room and considered an adorable couple.
"You excited for tonight?" Benjamin asks her as they retrieve their luggage from the trunk.
"You kidding?" She grinned. "For my match against Rhea? How could I not be?! I've been waiting for this."
Benjamin laughs.
"Just don't play too rough with each other," he pleads.
"Awww, you worried?" She cutely asks.
"A little, but I might get a little jealous too," he jokes and Liv giggles.
"Well, don't worry. I'll try to be careful. You just try to be careful too, and then we can play rough later if you want?" She seductively steps close while her boyfriend grows an eager smirk, humming from the thought alone.
"I'll try to do my best," he says before she giggles again and they share a kiss.
Once their luggage is retrieved and the car is locked, Benjamin texts Triple H that he has arrived and is heading toward his office, since Hunter had messaged him earlier requesting that he do so.
"Still don't know what it's about?" Gionna asks.
"Not yet, but I hope it's something good; because if not, then I'm likely screwed," he expresses with slight frustration, Liv wrapping her arm around his with a sympathetic look.
"Don't worry, babe. I'm sure it'll be fine," she assures, receiving a smile from the U.S. Champion.
The two enter the stadium and walk for a few minutes before Ben receives a text back from the C.O.O., informing him he is waiting. Benjamin and Gionna share another quick kiss before they both go their separate ways, Liv to the women's locker room and Daniel to the boss's office. A minute later, he arrives at the door of his office and respectfully knocks. He hears Triple H permit him to enter before opening the door, seeing him behind his desk as he enters.
"Hey, boss!" Ben greets before noticing someone else in the room, sitting in front of Paul's desk.
"Hey, kid! I hope you don't mind that we're joined by a third party," he gestures to the man in the chair, who rises and reveals himself to be Edge.
"Yo! Don't mind at all," Benjamin grins as he greets the Rated R Superstar.
Edge has known Benjamin for nearly his entire life, having known his father since the late 90s. He also had a great rivalry with Edge in the mid-2000s that was one of the last of his dad's career in WWE. As a result, Edge has looked out for Benjamin during a good portion of his wrestling career.
"I hope I didn't interrupt a meeting between you two?" Ben mentions upon separating from the hug.
"Not at all," Edge assures. "I'm actually here for you as well."
"Really?" Ben grew surprised.
"Take a seat, and we'll explain why," Triple H instructed.
Both superstars take different chairs before their boss begins.
"First of all, I want to apologize that things haven't panned out the way they were supposed to for you. I know we put you in a bit of a tight spot, but we might have a way to start improving your run here," Triple H reveals, capturing Ben's interest.
"Ok, whatchu got?"
Triple H puts his hands together and leans on his desk.
"How would you feel about turning heel and joining The Judgment Day?"
Benjamin shoots up his brow in surprise, glancing at Edge as he now knows what brings him here.
"This was your idea?" Ben asked.
"Actually, Rhea is the one who suggested you, believe it or not," he smirked.
Ben briefly laughs, grinning at the warm thought that his good, long-time friend would want to include him in this new group and that she would try to help him out in this way.
"So, what do you think?" Triple H asks. "I know you've never been a heel here in WWE before, but does that sound like something you could do?"
"Well, I have thought of some ways that my character can be a heel or even an anti-hero-like figure," he admits. "Plus, I was once a heel back at my dad's company, but that was different, more of a moody pissed-off teen kinda thing; but I'm certainly not opposed to exploring a heel version of my character, and it may actually fit great with how The Judgement Day is, but I do also have some concerns."
"Like what?" Triple H asks.
"Like my nickname, the Iron Angel, for one. Am I gonna hafta change it?"
The two veterans glance at each other, understanding where he's coming from since they both know the story behind it. They had already discussed the possibility of this topic being brought up beforehand and came up with some options for him, which the COO revealed.
"The 'Iron' part might need to change, which we know ties in with your family legacy and we hate to do that, but you still get to keep the 'Angel' part though."
"Yeah, we were thinking maybe Dark Angel or Fallen Angel or something like that," Edge added.
Ben sits further back in his seat, thinking about the options he has before him. On one hand, he had a feeling he might need to make some sort of change in his career. On the other hand, for that change to be his nickname? That is a lot for him to change there. Yes, his dad and his grandfather would both understand if he needed to do this, but the Iron Angel is what made him a main event-level talent, what matured him into who he is today. Unfortunately, things have also gotten stale lately, even with the United States title around his waist. If he doesn't make some sort of change that makes things interesting and unique again, they're going to take the title off of him; and if they take the title off of him this soon and for that reason, then his job here could be in jeopardy.
The biggest thing that wrestling and life have in common is that they're all about growth; one should never stop growing. This is simply the next stage in his growth; a whole new metamorphosis.
"Alright, I'm in, but I want some time to think about the new nickname, run by some people I trust with it."
"Sounds good, it's settled then," Hunter happily declared, Edge grinning ear-to-ear at the chance of getting to work with him, which he's never really had before and always wanted to.
They share a celebratory handshake and fist bump before Triple H continues speaking.
"Now, since you're already in a storyline with Damien Priest, that helps to make things easier. So, here's how things are gonna go...."
The Wolf
Tuesday, May 10th at the NXT Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. A short woman with short white hair with teal tips wearing a cowboy hat and custom-made wristbands, with a dog leash in hand attached to a Corgi with a black and yellow harness with her name and NXT written on it, walks into the place. Her custom boots clacking on the ground with a smile on her face as she greeted everyone. She saw her favorite announcer, Beth Copeland, and she stopped to greet her with a hug. She hugged her with a smile before bending down and hugging her back. She pulls away and greets the cute little Corgi who is just as happy to see her.
"Hi, little Grace! I swear she gets more adorable every time I see her," Beth comments, which they both laugh from.
"I know how you feel," she agrees. "How are you doing today?"
"I am doing great today, and you two seem to be doing just fine yourselves," she smiles.
"Yeah, well, I woke up feeling great and ready to tackle a new day on the job," she shrugs with a proud look.
"Sounds just like a champion," Beth replies almost like a proud mother.
"Of course, I think it helped that I chatted with Ben yesterday. Apparently, he and your husband have some big things planned," Racheal smirks.
"Yeah, he called me yesterday and told me about that. He's really excited," she grins.
"So is Ben. Which honestly, I'm jealous of him," she half-jokingly admits, causing Beth to laugh. "I'm excited to see how they do, though."
"So am I. He's been looking forward to this ever since he returned two years ago, and I'm sure Ben's dad will be thrilled too."
"Oh, I wish I could see his reaction for when it happens." They both laugh again.
Racheal adjusted her little backpack she carried with her everywhere, which carried something important to her since it was given to her by the said friend they were talking about.
"I can't wait to see him so we can talk and celebrate it," Racheal says with a smile.
"I understand. I hope y'all get to," Beth says with a smile before asking, "So what are your plans right now?"
"Going to go see Pops and have lunch with him," She answers before asking, "Do you have an idea where he could be right now? Is he in the promo room?"
"No, he is in his office," she smiles. "I'll leave you to go do that then. I hope you two have fun."
"Thanks," she smiles. "See you later."
"See you two ladies later," she pulled the small girl into a hug and then gave Grace some love before parting ways from them.
Racheal starts making her way to her father's office. Once she got there she knocked on his door in case someone was inside with him. She didn't want to be rude and interrupt or anything.
She heard a faint 'come in', then opened the door and saw her dad looking at the computer while typing away. Grace barked happily announcing themselves to her grandpa and wagging her little tail. Racheal giggled before unhooking her leash so she could run to him, which they both found cute and funny, before greeting her dad.
"Hey, Pops," she greeted herself, walking around his desk to give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
He turns his chair to hug her back before pulling her into his lap, and he is lucky she is small enough.
"Hey, Princess," he greeted before asking. "What do I owe this wonderful pleasure of seeing you today?"
"I thought we could get lunch together," she answers with a smile. "If you aren't too busy that is?"
While they were talking, Grace was lying in her doggie bed that Shawn put in his office for her, just chilling, being the good girl that she is and waiting.
"You're just in luck. I have some time to kill," he replies with a smile. "Besides, I wouldn't want to miss spending some time with one of my princesses."
She smiles before getting up from her dad's lap after getting some cuddles in. In the family, she is the cuddliest one of the bunch and none of them mind. They are used to it and are willing to give it to her, especially since they know it is also a way for her to express her feelings as well.
Grace gets up, seeing them stand, and gets out from under his desk. They all start making their way to their favorite place they eat at a lot that is close enough to walk to. They could have driven but they liked the moment of walking, giving them more time together to have a father-daughter moment. It was also a nice day for it as well.
They arrive at the little joint they go to all the time when they want to have lunch together. As they walk and get closer to the place with Grace prancing on her little legs in front of them, the owner sees them and smiles and already places their orders along with something for Grace.
"Well if it isn't my favorite customers," he greeted them as they entered. "I already have them making your orders right now as we speak."
"Thanks, Gary," The Heart Break Kid thanked him as Racheal smiled a thanks.
Then, Grace barked to make sure she was noticed. They laughed at her adorableness.
"Don't worry, I didn't forget about you, sweetie," he looks down at her with acknowledgement. "We are making something for you, too."
She happily barks doing a little paw dance, everyone just giggles at the site.
"Y'all can sit. I will take it out to you once it's done," he informed them.
They both thank him before sitting at a table. She ties Grace's leash to the leg of her chair and gives her some love before she sits by her side. Gary was nice enough to bring them their drinks and even a bowl of water for Grace who happily drank it up. We thanked him again before he left us alone.
"So, are you excited for tonight?" Shawn asked his daughter before he took a drink.
"Yeah, very much so," she answers. "It's going to be tough facing both Mandy and Shotzi."
"It is," he before getting worried, "but are you still want to do this? Triple threat matches are more complicated to do than just singles matches."
"Yes," she answers. "They both deserve it and don't worry Dad, the best of the best trained me and pushed me to be better."
Shawn giggles under his breath.
"Well, that's all part of my job," he smiled, "but please be careful."
"I will, Pops," she said with a smile before she reached her hand out for him and her dad placed his hand in hers with a smile.
Then, their food arrived. Gary sat down a bowl of pasta with alfredo sauce topped with shrimp seasoned with their house BBQ dust. Weird combo but tastes good. Then, he sat a chicken fried steak with gravy and mashed potatoes in front of Shawn, and last but not least sat a bowl of cut-up steak, peas, asparagus, and cut-up tripe for Grace, who looked ecstatic over it.
"Looks good as always, Gary," Racheal complemented.
Shawn complemented as well, and Grace just ate her food.
"Nothing but the best for you guys," he says with a smile, "and good luck tonight."
"Thanks," she smiled. "I am going to need it for who I am going to be facing tonight."
"Just know I am rooting for you like always," Gary says which makes Racheal smile.
"Thanks, I hope I keep the belt but I am up against some fierce opponents."
"Not as fierce as you," he smirks with a playful jab to her shoulder before leaving them to eat.
They ate and had father and daughter small talk. Before they knew it, their plates were empty and their bellies were full. Grace enjoyed her bowl as she ate all her food and laid on her side snoozing. They thanked Gary and the cooks as they paid for their meal, making sure to leave a big tip even though he insisted that they don't. Both insisted back and even bargained to sign and take some pictures for everyone, even letting some hold her belt she carried with her in the bag as well. Then, they were off walking back to the Performance Center where a backstage producer and camera crew informed them it was time to record her coming in for tonight's show. Her father kissed her on the cheek and told her good luck before heading inside. She went to grab her bag with her outfit in it, then got into her car, drove out, and then back in when they gave her the signal to drive in. Then, she got out as they panned up and she took her dog out as well, putting her on the ground and walking in with the belt on her shoulder. She walked with pride and confidence as she passed people greeting her with a nod, fixing the straps on her wrists just for a nice added effect. Then they gave her a signal that they were done and got what they needed.
They left her to be as she got ready for tonight. Even Shotzi and Mandy came and wished her luck and she did the same. They gave each other hugs and Mandy and Shotzi even loved on Grace. Then, they left her to change before her pops came and got Grace to watch for her. She then finally got dressed and went to the make-up and hair department. After that, she went to watch the show until it was time for her to make her entrance.
