Daffy woke to the sunshine bright threw the curtains and someone making a rather loud racket. "Shut it." Daffy groaned as she turned over in her bed, trying to find another comfy position. "Get up lazy." Ivy says to Daffy and Daffy groans again and gets up. A few minutes later everyone is up and dressed. "Annabel, come on." Katie says, for she had taking a rather liking to Annabel. "Simply so sorry Katie, I have to plait my hair." Annabel says as she sorely plaits her golden curls. Dolly almost refused to put her blonde locks into braids but she did and her hair was really hard to plait because it was so curly and short but Eva managed to wrangle it. Mrs. Potts came over to the third form table at the supper hall. "I am here to announce the head girl." says Mrs. Potts curtly. Everyone rises in there seat, but Dolly just slouches and turns her head. "The head girl is Ivy." Mrs. potts says and Ivy beams with pride, face turning red with pleasure. Katie however was not so happy, she was bitterly disappointed and had quite believed she could be head girl. Remembering what Daffy said she realized she probably was not head girl because of Daffy. Daffy noticed immediately that Katie was disappointed but Katie had been ignoring her, so she would ignore Katie! Katie was even more upset when Daffy looked at her then promptly turned away to talk with Bobbie. "Hallo!!" said three people behind the third form table. "Edith!" "Faith!" "Violet!" Ivy shouted in glee. 

Katie couldn't bare to look at Daffy's snooty expression when Ivy turned away to chat with Faith. "Hallo." Edith says warmly to Katie and Katie gave a wary smile. "Who's that?" Edith asks, pointing at Bobbie. "Thats Bobbie." says Katie, dislike thick in her tone. Edith backed off on talking about Bobbie when she heard hatred in her friends voice. After breakfast and the girls pointing out certain mistresses to the new girl's it was time for games. To everyone's shock, Rain Orin was watching the girls, swim, dive, play tennis and play lacrosse! Of course this was also to some girls dismay. Rain watched tensely as Annabel was about to dive, she seemed the type to be spoiled and hate sports. To everyone's shock she dived so gracefully and cleanly even Rain gasped at the elegance. It turns out Annabel was jolly good at sports which desperately annoyed Dolly for all the attention Annabel was getting. Edith dived jolly well and Katie was mediocre. When it came Dolly's turn she was scared sick. She had by accident chosen one of the highest diving boards and was to scared to climb back down. It took her two minutes to even take one step and Daffy was dreadfully bored and wanted it to be her turn so she climbed up the ladder and with a shove, Dolly fell down into the pool with a blood curdling shriek.
