Lilac rushed back up to the dormy as fast as her legs could carry her. As she walked she saw for sure that Mary had told them what she did. Tammy and Mary were sitting side by side writing a letter and wouldn't look at her. Ambrosia was sitting on her bed reading and so was Tilly. Tina was unpacking her night case and Jalissa was staring out the window. Lilac walked up to Mary immediately. "Oh Mary I am dreadfully sorry I lost my temper, please forgive me!" Mary sniffed and looked away but Tammy stood her ground. "Go away Lilac. Me and Mary are trying to focus." Oh dear, thought Lilac. Their was a knock on the door. Lilac sighed and opened it. It was Leticia. "Hallo you kids, why aren't you in your common room?" Tammy looked up and shrugged. "Well," said Leticia "New girls follow me to Miss Graylings office." Lilac, Ambrosia,Tilly and Tina promptly got up. "Well, follow me you lot!" said Leticia. And into Miss Graylings office they went. As miss Grayling talked about leaving Malory Towers as young woman, Lilac stared at Leticia. Oh she hoped she could be as high and mighty as Leticia some day. 

The girls entered their dormy again. "Well of to bed you lot." said Leticia and she closed the door. As the lights went off Tina cried out."Oh no, i've forgotten to brush my hair!" "Oh I don't care a hogs behind whether you have combed your hair." Remarked Jalissa coldly. Tina was mad. In fact fuming. She grabbed her brush from her bedside and began to recite. "1, 2, 3, 4. And on it went until, 43,44,- "Oh will you pipe down!" Yelled Jalissa. Tammy sat up in her bed. "All of you quiet! "Tina put the comb down and Jalissa head to bed now!" Their was an uproar. "Well I shan't be taking authority from you Tammy, you aren't head girl!" huffed Jalissa. Tammy turned red in the moonlight but everyone headed to sleep anyway. What a crew, thought Lilac, amused.
