She was still unconscious looking almost like a motionless body in the bed. Her head was covered with bandage and she looked more fragile and pale. Dark circles had been spotted in the corner of her eyes on her beautiful space , her jawline had been straight and her red rosy lips had transformed into dried purplish lips which were almost like fertile land. She had small signs of bruises on her face, hand and neck. Her face was still glowing in the dim light of the room revealing her dull features of her body. She was the epitome of beauty but today it was different. A chirping and lively bird like her had become a spiral shaped snail who was lazy and was not ready to come out of her shell. She was now a snail who was not ready to open her eyes and to approach to her closed ones. A week had been passed, she was still unconscious and was under the observation of the doctors.

Sumedh released a sigh as he took her one hand in his palm and lifted his other arm to caress his forhead. He leaned towards her face bending on her ear level.

"When will you wake up, Angel? It's been a week and you are still asleep. I hate to say this but it's difficult to see you like this. I actually miss your crazy banter."

He whispered in her ear softly brushing his lips on her earlobe.

"I have never thought that your life would mean so much for me. You are my angel and I want you safe at any cost. I guess, I am really desperate to hear your voice. Just wake up."

His voice was slightly choking as he wanted to take her in his arms and feel her. He laced his fingers with her fingers kissing her temple and nose tip. His kiss lingered with her temple for a long time before pulling back from her to rest his forehead against hers. It was the moment which did some kind of miracle. Sumedh snapped back into senses when he felt her fingers brushing with his.

"Sumedh"

She spoke which was barely audible to him as her eyes snapped open. Sumedh immediately looked at her with hopeful eyes.

"Angel"

He exclaimed with a wide smile spreading across his lips. Her lips curved into a smile as she hummed in response. She tried to get up but her weak body caused her groan in pain. Sumedh instantly went to her side helping her to sit up on the bed.

"Thanks" She mentioned with a sigh. He nodded his head and inched closer to her drawing his one arm around her shoulder as he hastily moved to sit beside her on the bed.

Her eyes softened looking at him. She lifted her arm to place it on his cheek brushing her fingers on his face. She romaed her eyes all over his face as if taking in his all features which she missed badly. Before he could say anything, she pressed her forehead om his pulling him closer by his nape.He too pulled her closer almost causing her to sit on his lap.

"I missed you Angel." He found himself saying it even though he cursed himself after saying it.

"I missed you too" She replied. He didn't want to say this loud that he himself was surprised to reveal such sentimental word to her. He was stubborn to admit that a part of him was relieved and happy that it was not only he who missed her but also her who had equally missed him.

While their faces came closer, their breathes mingled with each other. They stayed in the same position unmoving for a long time with their gazes locked with each other. She let out an inaudible moan when his face touched with hers. He gently rubbed his nose on her skin,their bare faces touching each other.

She locked her eyes with the pair of known hazel green eyes. In no seconds, she planted her lips on his lips. He was shocked at first not understanding what to do but later he responded snaking his hands around her waist. Her hand made their way from his nape to his cheek pulling him closer when he grabbed her waist tightly smashing their bodies together. Her kiss was rough and passionate. Their lips moved in a perfect sync against each other.

She took control over the situation sliding her legs around his hips. He nibbled on her lower lip making her let out a hiss. Her hands fisted his shirt tightly while he broke the kiss to resume his sweet torture on her neck. Although, her side of torso was paining with the position they were in, she ignored the sight pain and made him lay on the bed. His back touched the mattress when she carefully hovered over him making sure not to hurt herself in this process.

"You are so beautiful." He whispered after they broke from the kiss panting heavily.

A smile adorned her lips with her cheeks coating with deep shade of red.

"And so cute just like Angel." He grinned a little pulling her for another kiss. While the kiss continued, he flipped the position hovering over her. He made sure not to crash his body on hers. Keeping a safe distance, he bent down capturing her lips.

After pulling away, his lips peppered small kisses on small scratches of her face. He left wet kisses on her jawline to her collarbone making her moan in overwhelming pleasure.

"I really missed you so much, Sumedh "

She said against his ear closing her eyes in the anticipation of his kisses as unexpected tears escaped from her eyes. He paused to stare at her angelic face. Keenly observing her for minutes, he let out a loud sigh.

"Me too."

Saying this, he hastily crashed his lips with her again. This kiss was heated and hungrier than before as they both fulfilled their desires through this kiss.

Finally, they broke their moment by hugging each other.

"Sumedh, please stay with me for tonight.I need you."

She pleaded through her eyes not wanting a single moment to be away from him. He looked reluctant at first being not sure what to do. After a pause, he finally agreed with a smile. She grinned and made some space for him when he pulled out his shirt and laid down beside her pulling her in his embrace. As the night darkened, sleep consumed both of them.

As per Sumedh's suggestion, everyone had moved into Sumedh's previous house which was located miles away from the city. Since, the Mudgalkar villa was huge in structure with a patio in front of the house and a very large garden in front of the it. With all the beauty this villa owned was something which should be considered as magnificent. It was much better than their hidden secret spot.

The home appointed nurses and Avneet had been taking proper care of Mallika by supplying her healthy meal and medicines. Mallika was making improvement in her health slowly with the help of everyone.

Sumedh was aware of everything and he was ashamed and guilty for being cause of Mallika's condition. He had come to know that Paul now knew that his main weakness was Mallika for what he could anytime attack her. He didn't want any harm to touch her. He was fully prepared to fight for that. He had appointed more guards and maids in his mansion to give all the facilities and to provide the safety to Mallika and Avneet. He had made up his mind to save Mallika and he would do anything to make sure of her safety and security. Even if it would make him compromise her, he would be willing to let her go in any situation.

"Sumedh, your allegations against Paul have come true. He is the one who tried to preplan about the escape of Dr.Lahiri. But fortunately, we caught hold of them and ended up to kill Dr. Lahiri.Paul now knows about the girls. It's the main thing right now. We have to focus on how to save them first. He knows that you have kidnapped Mallika and she is your delicacy. "

Siddharth informed Sumedh passing some papers to him. Sumedh had a scowl on his face as he went through the papers thoroughly checking all the details of the hospital.

"Sid, you too know that I am not weak and not for Mallika even. "

He gritted his teeth while saying this but deep down in his heart, he too knew what Sid had implied was no less than a huge fact. However, he was never going to accept it, not in front of Siddharth at least.Siddharth let out an exasperated sigh as he was aware that Sumedh was too stubborn to give up on his own ego and accept the damn fact. So he decided to ignore his comment and continued.

"These papers are the evident of the involvement of Dr. Lahiri's hospital with the Arabian drug smugglers. From these papers, it's clear that they have been involved in doing this buisness for the last 2 years. "

He snatched a paper from Sumedh's hand and kept it on the center table pointing on the highlighted information.

"Look at this, this is 27th February of 2021 when this teen boy named Rakesh Sinha was hospitalized in this hospital for lungs issues. He was kept under the treatment of Dr. Lahiri. "

He braught out some more papers from his bag keeping them on the table.

"Look, this is the payment details. His parents have almost invested 5 lakhs of rupees for the treatment. I have got this paper by threatening the hospital authorities"

Sumedh was observing those details very carefully while listening his words. Siddharth pointed another bunch of papers.

"Here, those are the prescription and other important papers which were given to that boy's patents saying that he had been cured by a vocal therapy and those medication. Within 10th March, Rakesh was sent to his home all well but that was the fault. He was not all well at all. He had never been fine physically. In fact, he was drained physically with health conditions."

Sumedh's jaw clenched and he shook his head in frustration running his eyes over the papers.

"But those medical reports which were handed over to his parents are fake. The original reports are here. This report has clearly stated that the boy was overdosed with pharmaceutical drugs for what his process of thinking started spoiling, his mental condition started weakening and his respiratory function began decreasing gradually.They had only made Rakesh to gulp the doses of drugs in the name of therapy and had earned a huge amount of money from his family. Later, he was again hospitalized there for his physical break down of his body after a few days. When Rakesh checked the boy again, it was already confirmed that he had no much chances of living. But he was again mediacted with overdose of Opioid drug. They again took almost 5 lakhs of rupees in name of operation. They pulled a Nancy Drew of certificate where his death was confirmed for his lungs issues but actual report has spat out that the reason of his death is DRUGGSSS......"

Siddharth completed almost emphasizing the word "Drug" while gritting his teeth. Sumedh's expression hardened and he roughly moved his hand through his hair.

"That means ,the whole hospital is involved with Drug smuggling. We have killed Dr Lahiri. Paul is also collarborating with them in this dirty buisness. That means we have to be more cautious to catch the other culprits of that hospital. They all are rascals behind the masks of reputated doctors. "

Cassey mentioned as he entered in the room accompanied by Peter. Sumedh hummed agreeing with his statement.

"But what about Mallika Madam and Avneet Madam? We have to make sure about their safety as well. Right?"

Peter asked curiously concern written over in his face. The mention of the girls' names drew all of their attention to him.

"Exactly Sumedh, what will we do now ? Specially, Mallika will be the victim since they already know that you have kidnapped a girl and have not even touched a hair of her. They know that you have definitely something special for her." Siddharth stated with a frown laced with his face. Siddharth was frustrated and depressed right now to think about Mallika and Avneet both.

Sumedh looked at him for a moment and then moved his eyes to his lap. He needed to think of a quick solution. He thought for some moments before sighing out loud.

"Leave them." Sumedh proclaimed blankly looking at the floor while his heart was pounding against his chest to think about her leaving him. He had only tried to take revenge through her but now he was indebted to his fate and he would have to leave her to save her life. He felt a pang of hurt crossing through his heart to think about her absense in his life. Here Siddharth and others were dumbstruck to listen it. Siddharth felt a knot forming inside his stomach to think himself without Avneet whom he loved more than anything. He had reconciled with her after ages and was definitely not ready to lose her again.

"But bro....

He was interrupted by Sumedh showing his hand at his best friend.

"No, we can't do anything except this. It's the only way to save their lives. And don't you want to save their lives ?"

Siddharth wad reluctant but nodded in his direction after a few minutes of silence. It would be painful to love without Avneet but he had to go through the separation if he wanted her to stay protected and fine. Without saying anything, he hastily got up from his seat and left from there with long strides whereas others decided to take leave leaving Sumedh alone knowing that anyone's mood was not OK. He was expressionless. He never thought that oneday ,a simple girl would mean to him so much that he would feel so much pain at the single the thought of leaving her. It was surprisingly agonising. His heart tugged at his own thoughts as he shook his head trying to divert his mind from thinking about her.

This is basically a very boring chapter as I wanted to put the case of their opponent's work. I know but it's really important for the story.

I will unfold more mysteries. It's not a fully romantic story like "From That Night". It's a romantic thriller with a lot of mysteries. So don't expect much cheesy romantic scenes.

Lastly, I will now show "Love-Hate" relationship of Sumedh and Mallika. Be ready for it.
