"Are you sure?" Jace asked. Him, Clary, Izzy, Simon, Luke and Maryse were at Magnus' apartment stood around Alec as he was chained to the bed. He growled, hissed and threatened to bite anyone who stood close to him. It broke Magnus' heart to see him like this and cursed the demon who did so to his beloved. "Are you kidding? Look at him Jace." Isabelle said as she pointed at Alec. "We need the silent brother for this. This- demon or whatever he is refused to tell me its name." Magnus added before he took a seat beside Alec to try again his interrogation. "Who are you?" He asked with anger lusted in his voice as he asked the person in front of him.

Alec laughed, his voice deep and growl not his usual voice, "None, worthy of your tongue to say it!" Alec said and Clary couldn't take it, she went to Alec's side and draw a rune, a revealing rune to let all shadowhunter to tell the truth without using the soul sword, she created the rune few months ago and they had been using it since then. Alec screamed in pain as the rune drawn at his wrist, it flames on his skin like usual but Alec continues to scream in pain, "Tell us who you are creature!" Clary shouted but Alec didn't answer anything, instead he kept his screaming even more louder and wailing. "Clary stopped, you're hurting Alec!" Jace hissed as he grabbed his wrist the exact same place Clary drawn the rune. "The rune is not for a demon, its for shadowhunters, it'll kill him!" Magnus said and Alec kept his screaming high pitch as the rune burnt his skin, sizzling sound were heard and flamed lightened the area as it continues to burn, Magnus immediately call Catarina to help since he had no powers to help ease Alec's pain.

The pain was unbearable for Alec and he passed out due to it, his skin were marked like hot metal on skin, scalding like slaves marked for their owner. Clary felt guilty as she was the reason for Alec misery but Jace reassured her its not her fault, she just tried to help. "What would we do now?" Maryse asked Magnus, her eyes pleading as she stroke Alec's hair, the only time they would come close to Alec is when he passed out. She sniffed her tears away seeing Alec in such state and it broke her heart for unable to help him. "I'll send words to Brother Zachariah if he could come and help." Magnus said and he left the room.

All of them waited for Brother Zachariah reply and Catarina showed up minutes later when Magnus called her. They all waited in the living room leaving Alec alone in the room. No one dare to say anything and the silence is insufferable. "What the hell happened exactly?" Luke asked, breaking the ice since everyone else is thinking the same. "We don't know but we will go back to the institute to see the footage if anything would explained all of this. We will check the video since the beginning of Alec's behavioral changes, in case we found anything, we will let you know." Jace said, "I'll come with you." Clary said volunteering since she couldn't bear her heart staying beside Alec and do nothing, they both left the apartment via a portal she created and the room was once again silenced.

Not long after they heard Alec screamed again and soon as they entered the room, the sight is horrifying. Alec is chewing his hand off to escape, blood seeping through his wrist and his mouth bleed with his own blood. They immediately stopped him and tied the shackles closer to the bed post. He grunted and fought his family for it but Cat used her magic to immobilize him. When they are done stopping his injuries and Cat healed his wound, they heard Alex snickered an evil laugh. His voice changes, more deeper than before. "You fool. The nephilim will die soon, whether you healed him or not and I'll move to another body." The demon growled causing Magnus' blood to boil. "WHO ARE YOU?! WHY HIM?! WHY MY ALEXANDER?!" Magnus jumped on top of Alec and wrapped his hand around Alec's neck tightly, his mouth gaped apart trying ot breathe but his smile still making Magnus' annoyed. Their eyes looking deep into each other and Magnus saw Alec's usual grey eyes turned to pitch black like midnight.

He was pulled away from Alec's body by Luke and he fought to get back but Luke stopped him. "You're hurting Alec!" Luke said and the word stopped Magnus from going further. Tears brimmed on his face soaking his cheek. The demon again chuckled in victory as they couldn't harm him and he knew he had chosen the right subject to posses. Seconds later, a portal open up in the room and came forth Brother Zachariah in his usual silent brother robe. The second he looked into Alec's eyes, the demon stared at him. "I received your fire message Magnus, lets do this." He placed his palm together as he mumbled the words in latin for a spell, then he placed his palm on Alec's mid chest, he screamed in pain and his chest rose as his body bend on the bed.

New York Institute

"Jace, what exactly are we looking for?" Clary asked and Jace looked through the monitors fast forwarding to everywhere Alec went for the past week since he behaved strangely. "I honestly don't know Clary but we need to hurry. I'm sensing Alec getting weaker and helpless." Jace claimed as he placed his palm on his parabatai rune. "Wait who is that?" Clary said as one of the footage shown Alec stood in the middle of the hallway as if he was talking to someone but no one is there except him. "I don't know. Who is he talking to?" Then the next image made them both gasped and Jace raised from his seat. Alec was on the ground scared shitless like someone is threatening him and next thing they knew is Alec ran all the way to his room and hides himself there. Unfortunately for him, the camera is not located inside his room so they didn't know exactly what happened after.

They fast forward the video and saw some light coming from underneath Alec's door and hours later Jace appeared in that video knocking requesting for Alec to come out. He remembered during that time, Alec was a mess and he was sweating and panting but he pushed him away and Jace thought that because he has Magnus inside is he didn't bother to check either. But he remember well that day like it happened yesterday. As soon as Alec opened the door, the smell of rotten flesh and burning stones was rather familiar, the presence of a demon but the unfortunate thing was they couldn't see which demon that took possession in Alec's body. So they decided to portal back to Magnus and see how they had progress from there.

Magnus apartment

"ARGGHHHH!!!!!!!! YOU FUCKING PATHETIC! You're fucking wasting your time, the more you tortured me, the sooner the nephilim will die you fools." The demon seethed his words through his bloody mouth. Blood tears shedded from his eyes upon the torture he received from Brother Zachariah. They stopped torturing the demon to take rest and honestly they are exhausted. This is one tough demon and he refused to cooperate. "We will stop if you tell us your name demon!" Maryse screamed and the demon laughed making her blood boiled in anger. "Why bother? Like you even care about your son? You don't even want him when you gave birth to him. You despised him for having a relationship with a guy, a warlock no less. Like all of you care about him like I do!" The demon spoke and all of them looked at each other with confused plastered all over their faces. "What are you talking about, I love him, more than anything in this world. Nothing that you said is truth demon, its all a lie." Magnus added and the demon laughed deeply with a growl in his throat.

"Love, so sweet, so compassion like you people said it is. The beginning of love is a horror of emptiness. I live in those emptiness. The FEAR. Fear of abandon, fear of approval, fear of living alone, and fear of finding love. If I lied then, why I could possess this nephilim body that filled with insecurities, if you so called love him?" He whispered the words and his words echoed through the room. "Alec Lightwood is filled with those fear, insecurities, lack of love, confused." He screeched his laughter into the air and the sound is horrifying. Isabelle seek comfort near Simon as tears soaked her cheek praying the angels for her brother's lives.

"Fear? You're Agramon, the greater demon of fear." Brother Zachariah called and the look on Alec's face turning his head slowly towards him making hair on their neck stood and shivers run through their spine. Alec grabbed the next person who stood closed to him which is his mother and wrapped his muscular arm around her frail neck. Somehow he managed to pull the shackles and broke the bed post. She gasped trying to breathe but Alec choke her even stronger. "Alexander if you can hear me, we are coming to save you. Don't give up on me Alec, not now." Magnus called and the demon laughed at him, "He can't hear you, he is ready to descend to the after life for his guilt. You will never see him again." The demon said smiling showing his bloody teeth, Magnus tried to hold his emotion still and refused to listen, he knew better not to listen to a demon, a greater demon or no less for any of what it said is completely lies. Cat charged him with a warlock energy combined with Brother Zachariah and slowly he fall into unconsciousness. Maryse were released from his chokehold and Isabelle ran to grab her mother. She coughed for air after her release and hugged Isabelle close to her as they both cried for Alec's live.

A portal opened into the room and Jace and Clary appears, they saw everyone was drained and Maryse and Isabelle were hugging each other on the floor with Alec passed out on the bed, blood running through his clothes and bed, Magnus saw on the floor leaning against the wall with his head in his hand, crying. "What did we miss?" He asked and everyone stared at him with annoyance plastered all over their face.
