No Name
I can't think of a name for this, but basically Alec is Magnus's servant/slave because of his price
Alec's POV
"As much as I hate to say this, we need Magnus," I sighed. Maryse stared at me then at Magnus, making him smirk.
"Sign the contract Maryse. You know there's no other option," Magnus grinned.
"No, not if you tell me your price!" Maryse growled.
"Sign it! Or I swear to god, I'll find my own way to get my price. And trust me, you won't like it"
"No"
Magnus laughed before snapping his fingers, making everyone collapse but me. He looked at me smiling.
"What did you do to them?" I asked.
"Relax, they'll be fine... if you sign the contract"
"Why would I sign the contract? It's up to my mother," I spoke, confused. Magnus growled before slamming the paper and pen in front of me.
"Don't you get it, Alexander? I want you"
"No..."
"Do you want to know what happens to people when I don't get my way? I don't want to hurt you Alexander, you won't even be my prisoner, just my servant." Magnus moved to my mother and began to choke her. "Sign it or I kill her"
Silent tears started to rain down my cheek as I shakily signed the contract. Magnus smiled to himself as he stopped choking my mother and pulled me into his chest. I stood there frozen in fear of getting hurt.
"Say goodbye to your family, you'll never see them again," Magnus hissed in my ear before pulling me to his car.
Clay's POV
"Clay, another servant has arrived," Catarina told me. I stared at her in disbelief until Magnus walked in with a man tied to his wrist.
"Where is Miranda? Tell her to get a room ready for our new guest," Magnus ordered.
"Why? Is he not staying in a cell like the rest of us?" I snapped. Magnus glared at me, making me shut up.
"No. I want him to be comfortable so we can finally fulfill our prophecy." I sighed and glanced over at the man who's eyes has widened and trying to break free of the ropes. Magnus seemed to notice but did nothing, as if knowing the man wouldn't dare make the run for it.
"Hi there. I'm Clay. Clay Banks," I said, trying to be friendly. The man said nothing back until Magnus tugged on his ropes gently, yet tight.
"Alec. Alec Lightwood," the man, Alec, replied quietly. A small smile formed on my face.
"Alec, is that short for anything?"
"Alexander, but I'm the only one who can call him that," Magnus answered with a huff. I was about to say something else when Miranda entered and notified that the room was ready. Alec looked at me as he was being pulled away.
Alec's POV
I didn't know what prophecy Magnus was talking about when he mentioned I was the one who would fulfill it. I sighed while I twisted and turned in my new bed as the door sprung open.
"Get up. You have a lot to do today," Magnus ordered, making me sit up. I glanced over at my clock to see the time was 4:30 in the morning.
"Seriously, this early? Has it always been this time for your servants to do their work?" I snapped. Magnus laughed before throwing clothes to me.
"I should've told you the rules. Since it's your first day, you'll only get a warning, not that I'll physically hurt you anyway. 1. you never talk back to me, 2. don't lose focus on your jobs, 3. don't ask questions about why you have to do them, 4. wear the uniform at all times or pay the consequences, 5. each servant usually gets a hour break, you'll get three, 6. each servant gets one week off, you'll get four, and 7. make sure to work at all times or you'll lose a meal. Because I don't want to hurt or starve you, you'll receive a punishment of working the most dangerous jobs with me on your side. Are you understood?"
"Understood, sir"
"Please Alexander, call me Magnus. Get changed and you'll be on your way"
After a couple days of being Magnus's servant, I realized that I never wanted to leave and was slowly falling in love with him. I usually hated when people called me by my full name, but with Magnus, I loved it and I was 100% sure he knew it too. Sighing, I finished up my last chore before heading to the kitchen for my dinner break and had to look away because a servant was getting beaten to death.
"Alec, where you're headed?" Cameron, one of Magnus's bodyguards, asked.
"To the kitchen," I answered.
"Magnus wants to see you, says he wants to take you out tonight"
"Where can I find him?"
"In his office." I nodded and made my way to Magnus's office quickly. I sighed as I knocked on his door since it was closed.
"It's open!" Magnus yelled. I faltered before finally opening the door and almost looked away at the sight in front of me. Magnus was wearing one of his tight crop tops, or whatever you call them, and jeans that made him look good in the... important parts if you know what I mean. "...Alexander, you there?" Magnus asked, bringing me back to reality.
"I'm sorry, what?" I asked, making Magnus smirk.
"See something you like?"
"I, uh, no.. you wanted to see me?" I changed the subject, blushing. I expected Magnus to yell, but he did quite the opposite. Instead, he laughed.
"Yes. I want to take you out tonight, I have a surprise for you"
"Should I be worried?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Alexander, no... have I ever worried you?"
"No, no, you haven't. But you haven't gave me a surprise either so"
Magnus smiled as he made his way towards me and pulled me into his chest.
"You get to see your family, Alexander," Magnus whispered in my ear before kissing me softly on the lips. I was used to Magnus kissing me, he would do it every night before I go to sleep. The first time I was startled by it but I just allowed it to happen. I surprised myself by kissing back, the first time I ever did. It surprised Magnus too because he froze for a second and then eventually became confident as he slid his arms around my waist. A knock on the door made us pull away.
"Magnus?" A female voice echoed throughout his door.
"Tessa, what is it?" Magnus yelled in reply.
"Clay is misbehaving. What do you want me to do with him?"
"Starve him"
Before I knew it, we were seated at a very formal restaurant with my family. Maryse was trying not to come after Magnus or say anything that could possibly put me in danger.
"So... when am I getting my son back?" Maryse asked, hesitantly.
"Who says I'm returning him?" Magnus hissed.
"Everyone knows your prices aren't permanent." Magnus laughed.
"True, but it's up to the person if they want to stay or not"
"Well, my son doesn't"
"You don't know that, mom," I mumbled under my breath. And I did want to stay. Because if I wasn't with Magnus, I somehow knew I would shatter and would never be fixed.
"Are you sure about that, Maryse?" Magnus challenged. Slowly, my hand moved to lay on his thigh, making Magnus look at me with lust and love in his eyes.
"Alec would never!" Maryse yelled.
"I would and I will," I snapped.
"Alec, you don't mean that..."
"Why? Do you actually believe I would want to come back to my abusive family and get treated like shit? No"
"Alec, please-" She was interrupted by Magnus's laughter.
"I think your son has made this argument clear. You honestly believe you're going to change his mind?" Magnus growled.
