Izzy's POV
"Jace!" I yelled forcing him to wake up from the couch. "Where's Alec?!" Jace exclaimed, confused of what was happening. I chuckled knowing he'd realize in a moment. "He's in London on a very dangerous mission," I responded. "Oh! When is he returning?" Jace asked.
"Tonight, we hope"
Jace nodded before getting dressed hoping to hear from Alec soon. I did the same following him to Magnus's.

Alec's POV
Too many lives gone. "Nathan, behind you!" I yelled. Nathan nodded before turning around throwing his blade towards the demon in front of him killing it instantly. I noticed a demon coming behind me so I ducked slamming my blade in it before it could attack me. Nathan and I were the only ones who weren't struggling to kill while others fought to their deaths. Soon, we would have no choice but retreat meaning we would have to get a warlock to come and make the portal so hopefully he or she would make it in time. "Get ready to retreat!" Maya, a warlock, yelled before teleporting ourselves back to the New York Institute. Nathan collapsed to the ground while breathing heavily. "Quickly, heal him!" I demanded before getting out my phone calling my boyfriend. After a few rings, he finally picked up. "Alexander! I wasn't expecting to hear from you so soon!" Magnus cried. "We had to retreat. Too many people fought to their deaths and there was too many demons," I explained.
"That seems horrifying. Come over, we're all waiting for you"
I laughed before speaking. "On my way," I responded taking in a smile before hanging up. Grabbing my coat and apartment key, I walked out heading to Magnus's.

Magnus's POV
"Jace, I won't hesitate to kill you if you don't stop!" I yelled trying to contain my laughter. "Oh, come on Magnus, I was only joking!" Jace exclaimed stopping when he heard the door of the apartment open. I ran as fast as I could to meet Alec before Jace had time to react and tried to beat me. "Magnus, I'm-" Alec started but was cut off when I thrown myself on him kissing his lips softly. Regretfully, I pulled away. "Home," he finished breathlessly. I smiled and kissed him another time. "Ahem," Jace croaked. I gave him a glare but stepped aside to allow him to hug his parabatai. One by one, everyone hugged Alec, except Simon, who shook his hand instead, forcing me to sneak behind Alec wrapping my arms around his waist and pulled him closer. "We should go out," Clary announced. I nodded before pulling my lover out the door to the car with the others following suit.

Izzy's POV
"A retreat?" I asked, surprised. Alec nodded knowing what I was thinking. "There were too many demons, Iz. Nathan and I were the only ones not struggling while everyone else was fighting to their deaths. There was no way we could've kill them all with just two people," Alec explained. I gasped in surprise so did the rest of us. It was rare to have a retreat from demon huntings and missions. "We're having dessert, correct?" Jace interrupted. "No! I'm already full as it is," I exclaimed while rolling my eyes.
"But Alec is!"
"That's because he survived a dangerous mission"
Jace groaned before giving Alec a death glare who shook his head looking innocent. "Dessert has two different meanings especially for Alec," Jace smirked causing Alec to blush. "I-I don't know what you're talking about," Alec denied earning a smirk from Magnus. "Don't be embarrassed, darling," Magnus whispered. Alec just gave him a glare causing Magnus to look innocent. "Choose your dessert, Alexander!" I snapped hoping to get home soon. "Fine! Just get me all the chocolate," Alec requested.
"But there's 50 chocolate desserts on this menu costing about 10-20$ each! I don't have enough money!"
"I don't care, chocolate is my life!"
I sighed before staring at Magnus who almost looked offended but knew chocolate was Alec's second best part of life. I ended up ordering all the chocolate desserts anyway with Magnus paying the remaining amount of money and "accidentally"ordered three of all the chocolate desserts. "I think I have enough dessert, Mags!" Alec exclaimed while laughing. "There's no such thing as enough dessert! Besides, I love spoiling you, darling," Magnus answered ordering three more orders of the desserts.
"Okay, but you don't have to go broke for me!"
"Be careful, darling. I just might have to punish you"
"I dare you"
Magnus smirked and with a snap of his fingers, Alec's hands were tied with a bright red glittery tie. "I'm sorry but I believe we have to cut this short," Magnus announced before teleporting himself, Alec, and the desserts back to the apartment. "Well, that escalated quickly," I said while walking out of the restaurant.

Alec's POV

I couldn't move and Magnus was spanking me lightly. "You shouldn't have dared me, darling," Magnus smirked once finished with my punishment. "I don't mind," I responded before kissing him softly. He smiled and with a snap of his fingers, the tie disappeared so I could move my arms around his neck like I usually did. "Stop!" Magnus demanded. I looked at him in confusion. "What?" I asked.
"You still haven't ate your dessert! Go eat it now!"
"No"
"I'll feed you"
"Fine. But if I die from chocolate, I'm blaming you"
Magnus frowned. "I wouldn't let that happen. Death by chocolate is not a good slogan for a tombstone," Magnus smirked. We just ended up laughing and eating chocolate desserts for the rest of the night.
