Three weeks has passed since my breakup with Magnus. One week when I was raped by Evan Peters, a good friend of my ex. I witnessed Evan raping Izzy knowing it'd scarred her for life like I was. I didn't feel safe in the Institute but I was forced to stay since I had nowhere else to go. Jace covers for me at school when I skip class to not see Evan and Izzy has to face him. "Watch where you're going, Jace!" Evan laughed shoving him into the wall. "Evan," Magnus muttered. "You know you don't scare me, right?" Jace hissed before being hit. "You should," Evan snapped hitting Jace a second time. I remained quiet not speaking up for my parabatai but he knew why I stayed quiet since I was afraid of what would happen if I did. I did however feel his pain making it very tempting to actually say something. When Magnus and I dated, Evan and Jace were good friends but ever since the breakup, Evan decided to bully him for no reason. "Evan, you should be scared of Jace," Clary snapped. "Aw, look, girlfriend defending her boyfriend. Is that all you got, Jonathan?" Evan spat. "Clary's right, you should be," Jace hissed allowing himself to get hit a third time.
"Should I beat Clary then?"
"Hurt her and I'll kill you"
Evan laughed and gestured men to grab Clary. Clary screamed before being pinned against the lockers. "I'll kill you!" Jace snapped. "I'd like to see you try, Jonathan," Evan spat before punching and kicking Clary who screamed when hit. "Clary!" Izzy spoke up. Evan turned to Izzy and smirked. "Speaking now, are we?" Evan hissed.
"Leave her alone, she had nothing to do with this!"
"Oh, sweetheart, but she did"
Clary screamed as she was back to the beatings. Izzy and I had to look away from the scene not because it was horrific but because we were afraid. No one dared to speak up to Evan since he was the worst person there ever is in this school. He rapes people but no one knows since he threatens to kill them if they tell. He looked at Izzy before going to her and slapped her. Izzy screamed running away because she was afraid with Evan following right behind. "Well, this has been a good day," Clary muttered. "Same old, same old," Jace croaked. "Clary! Did Evan do this to you?" Simon hissed. Clary nodded before Izzy came back crying and I knew exactly what happened so I ran up to her comforting her. "Jace, we should go home," I struggled. Jace nodded before taking my hand pulling us back to the Institute. "Izzy, talk to me," I whispered while rubbing circles on her back. "I don't feel safe," Izzy admitted. "One day, Evan's going to get what he deserves," Jace snapped. "How?! He threatens others not to tell!" I screamed.
"We'll find a way, we always do"
I looked at him and nodded even if I didn't believe it. Then a text came through interrupting my thoughts.

I did Izzy. Now it's your second time. Come to where I did you last time

I started to shake before going to Evan because if I didn't, I would receive spankings or beatings. Even smiled when he saw me walk in. He grabbed me taking my clothes off and his at the same time then started the rape. This was something I would be scarred for the rest of my life. When he was pleased, he left me on the floor naked before I started to cry putting my clothes back on when Jace came to help me and comforted me. Izzy was crying when she saw me causing me to look away. I really hoped one day Evan would get what he deserves.

The next morning

"Magnus!" Evan snapped. "What?" I hissed.
"Were you even listening?"
"Of course!"
"I'm glad with that statement"
"Evan," Maranda, Evan's girlfriend, said. "Maranda! How was your trip?" Evan asked.
"Fine, fine. I'm actually looking for Izzy"
"Oh, Izzy. I can't tell you where she is but I have a feeling she'll be here"
"M-Maranda?" Izzy asked as if on cue. I rolled my eyes and looked at Evan. "What, Magnus?" Evan smirked. "Nothing, you're just a good friend," I answered.
"Of course I am!"
Maranda looked down and seemed to be shaking so did Izzy. Jace walked in with Alec holding his arm for comfort. "Alec," Evan smirked. "What, Evan?" Alec muttered and that's how I noticed how shaken he was. I stared at him for a while until his ocean eyes found mine as well forcing me to look away.
"Why are you so shaken? Did I do something?"
Jace gasped and came in front of Alec to protect him as Evan started to laugh. "Don't have the courage to stand up for yourself, Lightwood? Is that why you need your little 'boyfriend'?" Evan smirked. "He's my parabatai, not boyfriend! Of course he's going to protect me!" Alec snapped.
"You know, I wasn't surprised when you came out as gay! I was expecting my theory to be correct and it did!"
Alec remained quiet probably because he was afraid. Something really terrible must have happened to him since he never had no courage to stand up to people and now he's acting afraid. "No reply, Lightwood? Bummer, you just might have to be punished," Evan smirked before walking closer and laid a hand on Alec's shoulder who flinched away causing Jace to hit Evan. "Leave him alone!" Jace hissed. "I'm sorry but did I do something?!" Evan snapped. "Don't act so innocent, Evan!" Alec snapped looking like he was about to cry and his shaking was getting worse. What happened? I thought. "Alec and Izzy don't feel safe in their own home because of you!" Jace hissed. "I don't know what you're talking about, Alec!" Evan hissed while walking up to him slapping him causing Alec to fall on the floor and before Evan could do anything else, I snapped my fingers and Alec disappeared. "Magnus!" Evan snapped. "Enough, Evan! Don't you dare lay a hand on Alec ever!" I hissed before disappearing to my apartment to face Alec and find out the truth. Alec was pacing around the living room so I ran up to him trying to calm him by hugging him from behind. Alec flinched away from my touch and collapsed on the couch with tears in his eyes. "I'm not going to let you leave until you tell me why you're so afraid," I said, breaking the silence. Alec just shook his head. "Alec-" I started then stopped myself since I wanted to make him comfortable. I sat next to my ex lover and waited patiently. After a few minutes, he finally stopped crying and forced himself to look at me. "Evan is a terrible person," Alec replied. "Alec, talk to me. What did he do to you?" I asked, cautiously.
"He didn't just do it to me, he did it to others too including Izzy and his girlfriend. But I can't tell you, he threatened to kill me if I do"
"I'm not going to let that happen, I promise"
"H-he r-r-"
"Take your time"
Alec remained quiet for a few seconds and I waited patiently. "Herapedme," Alec muttered quickly but I heard all of it. Quickly, I pulled Alec into a hug allowing him to cry on my shoulder. "You don't deserve this," I whispered. "I'm scared, Magnus. I don't even feel safe in my own home," Alec replied.
"I'm going to make sure Evan gets what he deserves. You and Izzy are welcome to stay here if you want if that'd make you feel safer. I'll even stay with you 24/7 if I have to"
"Magnus, t-thank you. I wouldn't know where I'd be if we hadn't met. You're a good friend"
Friend. Alec considers me as his friend but I didn't know why. I've been ignoring him ever since our breakup which I regretted now since he's been scarred for life. Who knows how many times Evan raped him? Even if it was once or twice, he'd still be scarred for life. "You're welcome. I'll always be here for you, I'll always care," I whispered knowing in that moment he needed me and I needed him. Maybe there was a chance I could forgive him and get back together but it would take a while. Then there was a knock on the door. "Hide," I whispered as Alec ran to the closest bedroom closing the door behind him before I got up and opened the door. "Jace, what a pleasant surprise," I smirked. "Is Alec here? We need to go back to the Institute," Jace replied.
"He'd rather stay here than feel unsafe"
"And you're allowing him to stay here?"
"Of course! Why wouldn't I be?!"
"Hmm. Maybe because you've ignoring him since the breakup and not doing anything about Evan!"
"Jace-"
"Not to mention that you said and I quote, 'I don't want to see you or your friends ever again'!"
"I'm sorry, okay?! Besides it was his choice to accept my offer"
"What about Izzy?! She doesn't feel safe either!"
"She can stay as well!"
"Fine, I'll go get her but don't leave Alec alone. He needs you, Magnus"
I nodded before closing the door and walked to the bedroom to where Alec was, who was sound asleep, and I couldn't help but smile at how peaceful he was so I grabbed his hand and kissed it gently earning a groan from Alec. "Stay with me," he whispered and I nodded before laying down with him while brushing a strand of hair away from his face. "Can you hold me?" Alec asked, sleepily. "If it makes you feel safe, of course," I whispered before pulling him closer to me as I wrapped my arms around him. I never left his side that night as I was keeping my promise to Jace and him. I woke up with a start when Alec started screaming. "Alec?" I asked, shaking him gently. His eyes fluttered open and looked at me. "W-what happened?" Alec asked, confused.
"You were screaming, Alec"
"I couldn't escape, I-"
"No ones going to hurt you, I promise"
"I've already been. Evan didn't just rape me, he also harassed and beat me if I didn't listen"
"If I had known sooner, I would've-"
"No, you wouldn't! You only care about yourself lately!"
"That's not true!"
"Really? Did why did you allow Evan to bully Jace? Why did you ignore me when I needed you the most?!"
"I-"
"See, you can't even deny it. You're selfish"
Alec began to cry and looked away from me. I grabbed him from behind turning him to face me before I kissed his soft but tender lips. Alec was surprised and kissed me in return. Regretfully, I pulled away. "I'm sorry. I should've been more supportive," I croaked. "It wasn't your fault," Alec replied as I shook my head.
"Yes, it was. My anger got the best of me and it was my fault to allow it to keep controlling me"
"Do you regret it?"
"Regret what?"
"Breaking up with me"
"Not until you told me about Evan"
Alec remained quiet and I could tell he was shaking. Why wouldn't he be? He's scarred for life and we just kissed.
