Build-a-Bear (s)

A/N I feel as if I've been mostly posting smut or smut related ones lately, so this one consists of mainly sweet sweet fluff. :)
P.S anyone else think of cotton candy when they see the word fluff? No? Okay.
P.P.S I know it's a weird oneshot I got it in a dream so just roll with it.

Alec was getting frustrated. He was looking for his favourite green sweater, which you could tell was his favourite judging by the amount of holes in it. He was pretty sure Magnus had hid it, and he was determined to find it. He had spent an hour or so now, searching the loft for his beloved sweater. Closets, bookcases, even the fridge (that was mostly because of hunger though) yet no sign of it. Then, as he wandered around he found the closet in which Magnus kept his comic stache. I'm sorry I don't remember how to spell that and I'm too lazy to look it up. Just comics. Or so he thought.

He opened the door, searching through the mounds of comics, crawling over piles of action figures and collectibles. When he thought he spotted something green he rushed over to it, but it was only a Joker poster. He frowned and took a step back but instead fell into a hidden doorway. He fumbled for a switch, and when he found it he flicked it on, and gasped.

Magnus heard Alec call for him from far away, as he got up to search for his shadowhunter. He checked everywhere, yet he was nowhere to be seen. He knew he was looking for that old hole filled sweater that he hid. He grinned despite himself. There was no way Alec would ever find his hiding spot. Or so he thought.

He found the door to his comic stache room blown wide open, and to his horror he saw that the secret rooms light was on. Dammit, he thought. No one was ever supposed to find that room. Ugh, I guess Alec would find it one day, sadly it was today. He clambered after the shadowhunter and entered the room beside him.

Alec's mouth hung open. In the room was shelves. Hundreds of shelves. Perched delicately on the shelves was Build-a-Bears. Hundreds of them. All smiling, wearing fashionable and glittery attire, and as Alec looked around there was a whole closet for their clothes. He turned around to see Magnus beside him. At a loss for words, he simply gestured to everything.

"I know. Crazy right!?" exclaimed Magnus. Alec simply gaped.
"You see, I've been collecting more then just nerdy memorabilia for these 400 years. I've also been collecting these. My bears" he grinned as he gestured to them. "You're the first person, aside from Catarina, to know about them." He frowned.

"Mags, this-this collections amazing! But no offence, what's the point of them?" Alec immediately regretted saying this. For Magnus clapped a hand over his mouth, slowly removed it and screamed. Alec winced.

"Have you ever built a Build-a-Bear before Alec?" he whispered. Alec slowly shook his head. Then Magnus ran to the closet, grabbed Alec's sweater and his hand and booked it out the apartment door. Alec struggled to keep up.

They arrived in front of the mall, in which Alec barely had time to figure out what was going on and was dragged into it by Magnus. People stopped and stared at the glittery man dragging a tattooed boy over to Build-a-Bear and pushed him in.

"Magnus wha-"

"Hey Magnus long time no see! Nice to see our most frequent customer again!" smiled a worker.

"Karen. Hi. This. Boy. Has. Never. Made. A. Build-a-Bear before in his life!  Fix that!" huffed Magnus. The girl nodded and quickly she was expertly showing Alec around. Magnus stood by and watched as Alec created his own bear. Soon, they paid for it and Magnus took the bear into his hands, cradling it like a baby.

"It's the miracle of life" he cooed, at which Alec snorted. The bear was white with swirling black spirals on it, and it was wearing all black, had commando boots on and even an ebony black wig.

"Doesn't he look like a shadowhunter!?" exclaimed Alec. Magnus nodded. After that day, the two found themselves making more and more bears, adding to the collection. Alec and Magnus enjoyed themselves dressing them up, even sometimes playing with them. And so, it became a tradition to go to build-a-bear every holiday or when there was a new item.

That is how Alec ended up getting Simon and Isabelle, and Clary and Jace doing the same thing as them. The group now called themselves "The Build-a-Buddies." Ah teenagers, what a crazy bunch.
