You run through the dense forest, your powerful legs carrying you with ease over fallen trees and undergrowth. The cool air hits your face as you push yourself faster, your eyes scanning the landscape for any sign of the Hive. Suddenly, you hear a rustling coming from up ahead. You quickly change direction and make your way towards the sound, your heart pounding in anticipation. As you get closer, you catch a glimpse of movement through the foliage. With a burst of speed, you charge through the underbrush, your tail swinging wildly behind you. You burst into a small clearing and find yourself face-to-face with a Grimm, a huge Beowulf towering over you. It was a tense moment as the two of you faced off, both sizing each other up like wild animals. The Grimm let out a low growl, its yellow eyes fixed on you. You remained still, assessing the situation carefully.

The Grimm made the first move, charging at you full force. You didn't hesitate, your body tensing as you prepared to meet the attack head-on. At the last moment, you leapt into the air, narrowly avoiding the Beowulf's massive claws.

You landed gracefully, spinning around to face your new opponent. The Grimm roared in frustration as it turned back towards you. Only for your tail to slide across its neck. The gash you inflicted pouring dark mist into the air. The beowolf holds its neck before stumbling back on its hind legs then falling onto its back dead.

You step towards it but see its body evaporates into nothing. You let out a small growl as you had wished to feast on it. Your body tenses however as you hear the sounds of an engine from above. You see an aircraft in the sky causing your mind to trail back to why you ran into the forest besides to look for the hive. You proceed forward until you stop once again after hearing a gunshot ring through the air. There were people in the forest, threats, potential hosts for the hive. Perhaps worth investigating, just in case they found one of your brethren.

Meanwhile~

Ruby looks away from her scope to see her target, which was a giant Ursa, fall to the ground and evaporate.

Weiss: Nice shot, team leader.

Ruby: Thanks, Weiss. But we can't afford to waste time. Keep your eyes open. There might be more of them around here.

They continue their patrol, moving cautiously through the forest. Suddenly, they hear a rustling sound coming from ahead.

Ren specifically looks up at a tree that was in the direction the rustling sound came from.

Yang: Had to jinx us huh, little sis?

Everyone readies themself for another Ursa Grimm. However, their concentration is thrown off as a bullhead flies over their heads. The three teams look up at the bullhead confused.

Suddenly, two men jumped out of the bullhead. It was Jenkins and Cisco. Their small optic attachments on their helmets cover their left eyes as the cock their weapons and look around.

Jenkins: Don't see anything. Cisco?

Jenkins asks.

Cisco: Yeah, nothing here. He must be further in. Zack is gonna be pissed...

The three team, RWBY, JNPR and DA(F/n)K look at the men confused.

Ruby: Um, who are you guys?

She asks causing the two soldiers to look at the teams.

Cisco: Special Atlasien forces.

Weiss' eyes lit up.

Weiss: Wait, SAF? Professor Zack's private unit?

The white haired heiress asks in both confusion and disbelief.

Jenkins looks at the young girl and stands up straight.

Jenkins: Ah, Miss Schnee. How goes your studies at Beacon?

Jenkins asks. Cisco bumps him causing the soldier to stumble forward before shooting a glare at Cisco.

Cisco: Stay in line, Jenkins.

Cisco returns his attention to the teams while Jenkins turns to look out into the forest.

Cisco: What are students doing out here in the Grimm infested forest without a teacher?

Amy: We were just doing some hunting. Don't worry we've been watching each others backs.

Amy explains which causes Krystal to jump in.

Krystal: Yeah, twelve huntsmen in training can handle more than Atlas troops y'know.

Krystal says smugly causing Weiss to face palm and Jaune to cringe.

Jenkins looks over his shoulder back at the teams with an eyebrow raised.

Cisco: I see...

Weiss: Anyway..What are you two doing out here?

Jenkins: We're looking for someone. A Faunas, goes by the name of Hybrid.

Ruby: Hybrid? That doesn't sound good.

She says with a hint of worry.

Cisco: Oh no don't worry he's a....thing. Harmless mostly, saw him beat four members of the ace ops with a basketball.

Weiss stares at him like he was crazy.

Weiss: That's not funny.

Jenkins: He wasn't joking.

Jenkins cuts in as he looks around some more.

Draco: Sounds like a badass.

The leader of team DA(f/n)K speaks up.

Cisco: He is a badass. But like I said, mostly harmless. The safest you'll be is if you have jerky.

Jenkins looks over his shoulder again, his attention seemingly drawn to something else.

Cisco: Look, we should probably get going. You guys should really head back to Beacon.

Ruby: Aww, but we've only been out here for an hour.

Cisco: No buts.

Cisco looks up at the bullhead and goes to call it down from his earpiece. However, the engine suddenly blows up causing the aircraft to lose control.

Cisco: What?!

Jenkins head jerks up as the aircraft starts to spin before disappearing over the tree line.

An explosion is heard in the distance. The students and soldiers start to panic all the while, the explosion is seen from the academy.

Zack who was by the rest of the soldiers, getting ready to move out, looks at the black mushroom cloud in the distance.

Zack: Oh shit...

Jason: Your pet's making an impression it seems...

Zack shoots him a glare before calling in more bullheads. Afterwards he tries to get hold of Cisco and Jenkins.

Zack: Jenkins! Cisco! Status? Have you located Hybrid?

Back in Emerald forest~

Jenkins tilts his head and winces in pain from the static feedback in his ear piece.

Jenkins: Hello? Zack? Repeat your last?

Jenkins says as he paces while cupping his hand around the earpiece and his ear.

Cisco still looks at the smoke cloud just beyond the tree line

Ruby: What the hell shot it down?!

Ruby exclaims as the others look around while feeling on edge.

As Cisco pulls his gaze away from the sky, he spots what looks like the silhouette of something in the tree.

Cisco: Huh..?

Cisco taps his scanner bringing up an infrared setting on his scanner. He looks back at the silhouette to see small patches of heat signatures surrounded by electricity.

Cisco narrows his eyes before going wide eyed as he hears a clicking noise followed by a red light appearing from the top of the silhouette.

Cisco: Conta-!

Cisco is cut off as his head explodes as a blue plasma shot strikes him in the head.

Jenkins looks at Cisco as his headless body flips to the floor.

Jenkins: Cisco!

Jenkins looks at the tree and barely sees the smoke from the weapon that offed Cisco. He aims and fires which hits the target. As soon as the shot hit the cloaked figure, the cloak wears off revealing a creature with a dark skin tone and strong physique. Jenkins immediately recognised the wristbands it had on its arms as it roared and jumped down to him. Jenkins held his gun like a bat and swung at the monster's head, only cracking the right eye of its silver bio-mask.

Jenkins looks at his gun to see it broken to pieces.

Jenkins: Fuck...

The creature backhands Jenkins into a tree. It then looks at the students who aim at it.

However, they hear a thud behind them and look to see another one as it uncloaks revealing its mottled tone skin and its grey mask that had a bone-like design at the top half while the bottom was metal.

The creature roars as the taller, mottled skinned one moves towards the students with speed they didn't expect.

Draco: AH-!

Draco shouts as he's knocked out cold by the creature's attack.

Krystal: Draco!

Krystal swings her Halaberd at the creature only for it to catch her mid-swing and then toss her away into a bush.

The dark skinned one advances and grabs Ruby who got distracted by the other by her cloak. What it didn't expect was for Ruby to disappear into a rose petals and reappear behind it.

It swings on the dark skinned one but it suddenly blasted away as a net had appeared out of nowhere and pinned her to a tree.

Yang: Ruby!

Yang runs over to her but finds herself pinned to the ground as an arm sized blade had penetrated her leg.

Yang: Ahhh!

She screams.

Blake: Yang! Ruby!

Blake and Weiss run to help their teammates.

Meanwhile, Jaune, (f/n) and Amy try to fend off the mottled skinned creature off. However, its wrist blades and plasma cannon keep them all at bay as it fires off random shots in their direction.

Jaune: I can't find an openin-Whoa!

Jaune ducks under a plasma shot and sighs in relief as he looks back. His eyes go into pure terror as he sees another cloaked creature as it kicks him so hard he spins in the air before landing on a rock.

Amy: Jaune!

Amy quickly tries to rush over to Jaune, but she gets tackled away by the cloaked figure who then pulls Amy up by her hair. The figure unblocks revealing to be a female version of the creatures.

Blake: Jaune! Amy!

Amy struggles in the creatures grasp as the creature clicks then looks at the dark skinned creature and does a small roar.

Weiss was panicking as the net seemed to be digging itself into Ruby relentlessly. Pyrrha and Nora rush over while Ren comes next to Yang to analyse her wound.

Ren: I'm gonna try to take it out, okay?

Ren says in a calm manner. Yang looks at him before nodding and biting down on her scarf.

The mottled skinned creature quickly notices Ren and roars, charging at him. Nora and Pyrrha ready their weapons, but the creature vanishes into thin air, appearing behind Ren and slashing at his back with its wrist blades.

Blake: Ren!

Ren falls forward and breathes heavily as the dark skinned one looks at them before walking over to the female creature. The female then nods at Amy who looks at (f/n) who is frozen in fear.

Amy: (F/n)! Help me!

She begs. (F/n) however just stands there holding his rifle like a timid little boy who just shot his first deer while hunting with his dad.

Ako: Mar this Ooman, then the rest..

The female speaks to the dark skinned predator who nods and pulls out his wrist blades and reals his arm back. Amy looks up in fear as she stops squirming and looks in horror at the blade that was about to end her.

*CRUNCH* *SPLAT*

Green glowing blood sprays onto Amy as she flinched but slowly opens one eye to see the predator impaled by a long black tail. The female predator looks up in shock as its fellow predator is pulled up to the tree as you emerge from the shadows.

Jenkins finally regains conciousness and looks to see you.

Jenkins: Hybrid?

He says confused to see you had found him instead of him finding you.

You stare down the male predator from behind your mask as you then grab hold of his mask tightly and then rip it off, exposing his mandibles. He clicks and roars at you.

Ako: Utoen!

The female predator shouts as you had activated your own wrist blade and rammed the blade into Utoen's right eye.

The taller male predator roars and fires a plasma shot at you. You however throw the body of Uteon at the plasma shot while keeping your eyes locked onto Ako. The two predators watch as their comrades upper torso explodes into pieces. Ako growls and lets go of Amy as you drop in between Ako and the other male predator.

You slowly rise up from the ground with your wrist blade ready and your tail raised over your shoulder.

Ruby struggles against the net still until Pyrrha, who noticed the small device embedded into the surface that the net was attached to, shot the device which frees the red hooded girl.

Ruby looks at Pyrrha while wincing from the marks that the net left on her.

Ruby: Thank you...

Pyrrha nods and looks at the two v one that was about to happen.

Pyrrha: I take it that this is Hybrid.

Weiss nods as she then looks at Yang and points to her, Ren and Nora.

Weiss: We need to help your sister. Hybrid's managed to kill one of them, we should regroup while we have the chance.

Ruby and Pyrrha agree and gather everyone back. Amy recovers and walks over to (F/n) and slaps him to snap him out of his daze.

Amy: Come on, we need to regroup! Grab Draco!

(F/n) stares at her for a few seconds before swallowing hard and going to retrieve their leader from the bushes. Meanwhile, the two remaining predators roar at you as they spread their arms out wide with their wrist blades drawn.
