P.O.V. [Name]

I smiled as I walked down the streets of my town. It was fairly quiet and most of the time there wasn't anything too eventful happening in the town outside of the usual celebrations. However, I was in a slightly better mood because I was going to visit someone that I had grown very fond of over the past few years. I looked at the house in front of me and knocked on the door. As I did I saw a male in front of me.

"Oh it's you, Susamaru is the back. She's been waiting for the past few minutes," The male said as he moved to the sides.

"Thank you, sir," I said as I bowed to him before entering the building and making my way to the back. When I did I saw the female that he was referring to tossing a small handball back and forth in her hands. She appeared to be warming up at the moment and I smiled as I walked towards her. "Hey! Susamaru!" I said as I approached her. As I did she looked at me and smiled as she did.

"Hey! You're finally here! Come on and help me practice!" She said with a smile and I nodded. I walked over to the small goal that she had made. I've never seen anyone that likes handball as much as she does. It wasn't often that she was able to get someone other than me to help her practice but even when she was she typically still went to me first and then to them. And even when she didn't have anyone to help her she would just practice by herself.

However, even so, I couldn't help but notice how much more she had been trying recently. As we played I tried to keep up with her as she ran with the ball trying to get around me to the goal. "Hey Susamaru, is something up?" I asked as she stepped to the right and I followed her only for her to go back to the left and twirl as she did throwing the ball right past me into the goal. I sighed a bit hearing this and went to get the ball.

"What do you mean?" She asked as she looked at me. When she asked this I leaned down to pick up the ball and began to walk back over to the starting line.

"I couldn't help but notice how much more seriously you've begun to take these practice sessions of ours. I just want to know why," I said as I looked at her and then began to run a bit with the ball trying to get past her to the best of my ability. However, it didn't seem to matter where I went because she always seemed to have an answer for what I tried to do. We had increased the number of steps we were allowed to take to make up for the lack of players but even so it wasn't long before I ran out of steps that I could use.

"Oh," She said as I began to throw past her only for her to lean back and jump to catch the ball. "Well, I heard that in some of the big cities you can actually make a living playing handball. So I want to get good enough to travel there and hopefully be able to start playing professionally," She said as she looked at the ball in her hands before she began to walk back to the side. I couldn't believe what I had just heard.

"You're leaving?" I asked as I looked at her.

"Well not yet," She said as she looked at me. "I still want to practice to get better. I haven't seen what the people in the city are capable of doing yet but I'd like to think that they're pretty good. I'm not sure how I really stack up in comparison so I wanted to practice a bit before leaving," She said as she looked at me. I nodded hearing this and she looked at me as she once again got ready to go forward.

It was a little hard to believe that Susamaru was going to leave. I've still got a little time so I guess it's not too late to confess how I feel but at the same time . . . what if that makes her stay behind? She could go on to become a great player. What if that's her calling life and me confessing is just me holding her back? I don't know what to think, so I'll do what I always do at times like this. I'll let fate decide whether I confess or keep it to myself. Although, I'll probably have to be looking a bit harder than usual for signs.

Before long we had spent the entire day playing and after a rather quick goodbye, I began to make my way back home. As I did I walked inside of the building and after taking a bath to clean myself I quickly ate dinner and then went to my room to rest up. I then found myself in a forest watching someone. I didn't recognize them but the more I looked at them the more uneasy I became. It almost made my stomach turn from how sick it was making me.

I then watched as he walked out of the forest and towards Susamaru's house. He grabbed the door handle and easily opened it with a loud slam. As he did he saw Susamaru and the rest of her family staring at them. I wanted to attack him and at least try to help the others defend themselves. But it felt like I was a prisoner in my body, like no matter how much I tried to fight against it, there was even more force holding me in place.

I was helpless to watch the scene in front of me. Her parents never stood a chance against the monster in front of them. I tore her father in half before crushing his head, and her mother was crushed in an instant. I watched as the figure walked towards them, and Susamaru walked back before stumbling over clearly terrified of the thing in front of her. The creature smiled at her and watched as the fleshy mass behind him formed a small point and stabbed her in the heart.

I watched as part of her veins began to glow all of which starting from her heart. The male then pulled back the needle that had pierced her and she began to crawl on the ground in pain. I felt horrible completely useless as I saw her on the ground. I could see some minor changes in her eyes, her pupils were becoming slits instead of round, and her canines were becoming much larger and sharper.

The male smiled as he looked at the figure in front of him. "Go ahead and eat," He said as he kicked her father's corpse towards her. As he said this I watched as a crazed look consumed her and she began to devour her own father's corpse. It was horrifying, to say the least. As she did I saw even more changes begin to take place in her body. Her skin became much paler almost deathly color and she seemed to become far more muscular.

I then woke up in a cold sweat clearly disturbed by what I had just. I looked around and noticed that I was in my room. I quickly put on my shoes and began to run towards Susamaru's house hoping that she was still okay. I knew it was just a dream but even so it seemed so real, I couldn't help but get paranoid at the thought. What if that dream was really warning? I could feel that something horrible was about to happen.

When I reached her house I began to pound on the door furiously and screamed. "SUSAMARU! SUSARMARU ARE YOU OKAY!?" I yelled hoping for a response. I tried to force the door open but didn't have nearly enough strength for it and then suddenly it was opened and I nearly fell over. I saw Susamaru looking at me rubbing her eyes as she did.

"What's wrong with you? Do you have any idea how late it is?" She asked as she looked at me. When she said this I hugged her and she almost fell over from the weight.

"Sorry it's just I got really worried," I said as I looked at her. When I did she stared at me and she must have been able to see how worried I was because she signed and stretched a bit.

"It's fine, just try to be quiet my parents are still asleep," She said as she looked at me. She then took my hand and began to lead me to the back of the house near a small area where we would usually sit when we got done with practice. "So what's bothering you?" She said as she looked at me.

"It's just . . . a really bad dream," I said as I looked at her. "I . . . I'd rather not talk about it. But it made me worry about you. So I came as soon as I could," I said as I looked at her.

"It's not like you to freak out over a dream. Was it really that bad?" She asked as she looked at me and I nodded.

"It was so real, like I was really there watching it and I couldn't do anything to stop it," I said as I looked at her causing her to nod. She then placed her hand on top of mine and looked up at the stars. We sat there merely enjoying each other's company before I took a deep breath and looked at the female beside me. This timing was almost to perfect so it was either now or never.

"Susamaru," I said as I looked at her causing her to look at me. "I love you," I said as I looked at her. I wasn't sure what kind of reaction I was expecting but she just stood there looking at me. I wasn't expecting this, at the very least I expected her hand to move away or tighten. Something I could latch onto to get my answer. And eventually, I got it as she began to slowly lean forward towards me.

As she did I returned her action slowly leaning forward towards her and soon enough our lips pressed together in a sweet and gentle kiss. As they did I felt her hand cling to mine a bit more and soon enough the kiss began to become a bit more heated as she held mine. I smiled a bit into the kiss as she did and I slowly separated my lips so that I could begin to run my tongue along her lips hoping for entrance.

As I did she slowly opened her mouth, I could tell she was a bit nervous so I went a bit slowly and our tongues slowly met in the center of our mouths dancing gently with each other as they did. After a bit, we separated and took a breath and I could see Susamaru's face was a little red. However, I couldn't tell if it was because she was out of breath or because she was embarrassed by what we had just done, or maybe a mixture of the two.

She then laid her head against me with a smile. "Maybe I shouldn't leave in that case," She said as she looked at the ground clearly content with what she was doing. When I heard about this I felt a little bad thinking that I might be stealing her chance to become successful at her dream.

"Or . . . maybe I could go with you?" I said as I looked at her. When I said this she looked up at me with hopeful eyes. "You'd do that for me?" She asked as she looked at me and I nodded with a smile.

"Of course, for you, there's nothing I wouldn't do," I said as I looked up at the sky. It seems like we've got a bright future ahead of us. I couldn't imagine anything that could possibly ruin this moment for us.
