Diana x Male Reader

P.O.V. Diana

I was walking down the halls of Luna Nova. I had been told that a few transfer students from a bunch of schools were coming to the school today. I had heard several people talking about the students since some of them were boys. I thought doing this would be a good opportunity to show them around the school so that they don't get lost. I had already helped set up some of the rooms they'd be staying in, so I knew everywhere they would need to go.

There was also another reason I was excited, a reason I would have to keep secret from Hannah and Barbara otherwise they might make fun of me. Every year a certain someone came to visit, and every year we spent time together, in secret of course. However, now's not the time to think about that.

When I arrived I saw that there were a few boys but most of them were girls as expected. I could see one of the teachers leading them around the campus and many of them looking around. As I approached the teacher she turned to look at me and smiled. "Oh hello, Diana," She said as she looked at me. "I assume you're here to help, well if you don't mind could you show some of the new students around?" She asked as she looked at me.

I nodded hearing this. "Of course, it would be an honor to help," I said as I looked at her and we slowly came to a stop.

"Alright students, this is Diana and she will be showing some of you around campus. We'll meet in the cafeteria after the tour is over. So please follow her," She said as some of the students split off to begin following me. I looked back at the small crowd and saw that almost all the boys had begun to follow me. I guess I couldn't blame them for that, I was always told that I was attractive, and it's only natural they'd want someone more their own age than someone older than them.

It took a bit to show them around the school, but after the tour was finished I brought them to the cafeteria like I had been told. "Great job Diana, and all of them are here. I knew you'd make an excellent guide," She said with a smile and I nodded before I began to walk away. The rest of the day was fairly uneventful. I was in my dorm about to sleep when I sensed something outside. Hannah and Barbara were talking so I don't think they noticed. I smiled feeling this and pretended to go to sleep.

P.O.V. [Name]

I sat in front of a telescope and a small stack of books, I had told the headmistress I was studying the stars for something. However, if I'm telling the truth that was just a lie so that I could be out a night away from everyone else. After a few moments, I heard someone walking towards me turned to see Diana coming towards me. I smiled seeing this and watched as she began to slowly walk closer to me.

"Think anyone will wonder why I'm helping you?" Diana asked as she looked at me.

"No, I told the people from my school I found someone smart to help me with my research, and I got written permission to be out here with your help of course," I said with a smile. When I said this she walked beside me and began to look up at the stars above us. "This is nice, and the stars actually look a little closer tonight . . . just like that night," I said as I looked at her.

"Y-Yeah," Diana said as we continued to look up. "I wish you wouldn't bring that night up so much. It was just an accident you know," Diana said as she looked at me.

"I know, but you've got to admit it's one of the most memorable things to ever happen," I said as I looked at her.

"I . . ." She began as she took a breath and sighing. "I guess it was rather memorable," She said as she looked at me. I smiled hearing this and we continued to look at the stars before I felt a pressure on my shoulder. I tensed up feeling this and felt my face heat up before turning to look at the female next to me. I saw Diana with a slight blush on her face as she looked up at the stars. I tried to remain calm but it was hard to in a situation like this.

"Geez calm down, your hearts beating like crazy. I know you're not good with girls but that seems excessive," She said as she continued to look up. As she said this I felt my face heat up even more at the thought of her knowing just how nervous I was at the moment. After some time had passed I began to slowly move an arm around her so that I could hold her closer. Thankfully she didn't reject this advance and let me keep her close.

"So how are things with your family?" She asked as she looked at me. When she said this I groaned slightly and almost immediately relaxed remembering who I was with and how much she knew about me.

"It's been kind of stressful lately. My parents are putting a lot of pressure on me to start seeing someone soon so that I can carry our family legacy. They've been trying to set me up a few dates but honestly, it's kind of hard being around some of them," I said with a sigh. Diana nodded hearing this as she looked at me.

"I understand, my family hasn't made any decisions yet, but they've been dropping a lot of hints recently. I fear it's only a matter of time before they confront me on the issue," Diana said as she looked at me. I sighed hearing this and nodded in understanding. I wish she'd be more open about things like this. Maybe then someone in this school could help her out, but at the moment it's just me and there's not much I can truly do about the situation.

Timeskip

"Stop squirming it's not that bad," Diana said as she applied some more disinfecting spray to the rather minor wound I had gotten.

"I can't help it, it hurts," I said as I looked at the female in front of me.

"Well of course it hurts, it's doing its job and cleaning the wound," Diana said as she looked at me. "Honestly, your lucky I'm not lecturing you right now. What were you thinking?" Diana asked as she looked at the male in front of her.

"Sorry, I . . . honestly, I don't know what I was thinking," I said as I looked at her. I leaned in close to see what she was doing.

"There-" She began as she looked up at me our faces incredibly close together. "Done," She said drifting off as she looked at me. She then began to lean in closer to me, as she did I panicked slightly, but I knew I probably wouldn't get a chance like this again so I began to lean in as well. Before long our lips touched in a sweet and gentle kiss, but before we could enjoy it, it came to an end.

Diana moved back her face red before she cleared her throat. "That . . . others don't need to know," She said as she looked at me. I nodded hearing this and we both began to walk out of the room together. However, as we did I couldn't help but notice that Diana was holding my hand, most likely because others weren't around to see it. This would make the fact I have to leave again tomorrow a bit more painful.

However, while I was here I knew I would at least try to make the most of it and enjoy every moment I could with Diana. When it was time for me to leave I could see Diana bidding us farewell from the campus. For her it wasn't that unusual of a sight, she was Luna Nova's prized student after all. When I returned I began to think over what happened. I could only imagine what would happen if people found out the decedents of Cavendish and Merlin were seeing each other in secret.

Then I thought about it seriously, Diana and I did have a lot in common. We're both highly respected in our schools, our families both put a lot of pressure on us to do well. We couldn't even use magic when we were younger. I can't think of many people that I enjoy talking to as much as her. Sure she can be a bit course at times, but I know that's only because she cares. After all, it's not like she's being mean just be mean. Unlike those two that she surrounds herself with.

My parents have indeed been a bit pushy when it comes to finding someone but I don't want to marry a girl who will just use me for my family name or a girl that someone else picked out for me. I want to marry someone I really care about, and maybe I can't but . . . I'd like to try. When night came I began to sneak out of my dorm and made my way to the garden that we had. As we did I used a teleportation spell.

I saw a bright light before I found myself in the garden near Luna Nova. When I arrived I began to slowly walk around there was no way Diana didn't recognize my magic signature. After waiting for a bit I eventually saw Diana walk out of the building and I smiled seeing her. However, she seemed upset, and a little worried. "What are you doing here? Do you have any idea how much trouble we could get in if you're caught?" Diana asked as she looked at me.

"I know, I know, I'm sorry, but I had to come here. I'll be quick I promise," I said as I looked at her. When I said this Diana sighed looked at me. When she did I felt my face heat up at what I was about to say. "Um actually . . . I've practiced what I'm going to say countless times. But of course, now that it's time to say it, I'm feeling shy, and flustered," I said as I looked at her. When I said this she looked at me a bit confused.

As she did I took a deep breath and looked at her. "I know coming here unannounced like this is . . . strange and risky to say the least but," I said as I reached into my pocket and pulled out what was in it keeping my hand closed as I did. "It was all so that I could you this," I said as I looked at her. When I said this she held out her hand and gasped when she saw the ring I placed in her hand.

"A-are you saying?" She began as she looked at me.

"I know we could get in a lot of trouble, but even so, I couldn't leave without telling you that . . . I adore you, and . . . I love you. I understand that you take your responsibilities as a witch and student very seriously. That's why . . . I've come to ask for your hand in marriage. I know this is a big step and it's not something, I expect you to answer now. However, even in the face of rejection . . . I can not leave these words unspoken. And if you're ready . . . may I have your answer?" I asked as I looked at her.

After I said this she stared at the ring in her hand. She closed it and then looked up at me still seeming very serious. "If you cheat on me, I'll never forgive you," She said as she looked at me.

"You mean . . . y-you'll do it? You'll really marry me?!" I asked starting to get excited.

"Well . . . I love you, so I have no choice but to accept," She said as she looked at me.

"Yes! I was so worried about what would happen if you said no. I wasn't sure what I would do. Oh! And don't worry, I shall remain faithful. If we're together then I don't care if we stay locked up for the rest of my life. If you told me you didn't want me to look at another woman, I'd gladly go blind, just for you," I said as I looked at her.

"That seems a bit excessive," She said as she looked at me.

"Sorry about that, I just got a little excited. I'll try to calm down, it's just . . . I feel like I'm in space right now," I said as I looked at her. When I said this she looked at the ring once again and slowly put it on. with a smile and faint blush staining her cheeks. When I saw this I tried to calm myself as I looked at her.

"Now I'm happy I came here because now I'm married to the perfect woman. Actually . . . you know what, my happiness isn't what I care about today," I said as I brought Diana into a hug. "Because I'm going to spend the rest of our days together, trying to make you happy," I said as I looked at her. When I said this she returned my hug.

"You know, until this moment, I didn't realize how much my heart yearned to call you my own. I . . . want to love you, and to be loved by you. I want . . . to share my life with you," She said as she looked up at me. When she said this I looked at her and began to slowly lean forward, as I did she did the same and before long our lips were pressed against each other. I'm glad that I came back to tell her this. Nothing could make me happier at this moment.
