P.O.V. Takao

I was looking in the mirror at my reflection. I was finally going to accept [Name]'s request for a date.

I have to admit he may be one of the most annoyingly persistent guys out there. He's asked me out on a date every day for the past two years.

Each time I had turned him down. Although now I'm starting to see him in an entirely new light.

I've seen how kind he can be even though he doesn't like to show it. He also cares for his friends.

I learned this from [BFF] apparently [Name] was the got to guy for advice on almost any situation.

I had been rejecting his dates because to be honest I thought he was only after my large bust.

I figured since I was finally going to accept his request I might as well look nice. So that's what I was currently doing.

I had brushed my teeth, brushed my hair and tied it into braids that he liked for some reason.

I then left the bathroom and walked out of my house and started towards school.

When I got there I saw [Name] talking with a few of his friends. As he walked by me I smiled.

"Hey Takao you look nice today." He said looking me with that amazing smile of his.

I may have been mistaken but I could have sworn that something was wrong with the way he said my name.

"Yeah I was hoping to impress this boy today." I said looking at him.

"Oh well I hope it works." [Name] said looking at me the thing was though he didn't sound sad about this. In fact it almost sounded as if he didn't care.

I then heard the bell that singled that school had started. [Name] then looked at me and left. "Well I'll talk to you later Takao."

When I was walking down the hallway I once again found that the way he said my name was a little off. I then realized why it sounded so odd. He kept calling me Takao he usually calls me Takao-chan.

I wonder why he dropped it from my name. I mean it had apparently became so common for him that I expected him to call me that.

I guess I could try dropping a few more hints so that he picks up on that he's the guy I like.

I had been thinking of ways to impress him. However I then stopped dead in my tracks as I remembered something. [Name] doesn't ask me out until lunch.

When I remembered this I smiled and went back to studying. When I was done with my work I turned it in.

I then sat back down and waited for the bell to ring. While I was waiting I started to daydream. It's not a healthy habit but I was already done with my work so it was okay right.

When I did I started to think of all the ways [Name] could ask me out. Each one of them ended well.

I then heard the bell ring. When it did I gather my stuff and headed towards the cafeteria. When I did the first thing I saw was that [Name] was talking to a few of his friends.

I waited for him to notice me and he did eventually notice and walk over to me. When he was in front of me he smiled.

"Hey Takao how are things with you and that guy going?" He asked looking at me.

I sighed and looked at him. "Not well he hasn't been doing the things he usually does and I'm starting to get a little concerned." I said looking at him.

"Oh well I hope things work out for the two of you then." He said looking at me.

His eyes then drifted to someone behind me. When I turned to see who it was I saw that it was [close friend] he was waving him over and had a smile on his face.

"Hey Takao I got to go. I'll talk to you after school okay." He said walking over to him. Well that didn't go as I imagined it would have.

I then sighed and went to go find someone. If anyone knew what was wrong with [Name] it was going to be him.

When I saw [BFF] he was studying for some type of test. I walked over to him and sat down. "Is something wrong with [Name]?" I asked looking at him.

"No why?" He asked not taking his eyes off the paper he was looking at.

"Well it's just that I noticed he hasn't been doing the things that he usually does." I said looking at him.

When I said the he closed the book and looked at me. "Like what?" He asked.

"Well he doesn't call me Takao-chan anymore just Takao, he hasn't asked me out today, and we've talked like maybe twice today." I said looking at him.

"Oh well the answer to that is simple. As of yesterday [Name] is no longer trying to win you over." He said looking at me.

"What why? What happened?" I asked looking at him.

He shrugged and looked at me. "He just gave up. I mean everyone has a breaking point for everything. I would guess that he just got tired of you telling him no all the time." He said looking at me.

I then sighed and put my head on the table. Of course as of yesterday he would have given up and the today I wanted to go out with him.

"Why the sudden interest in [Name]?" [BFF] asked looking at me.

I blushed and looked down at the table. "I kind of like him." I said looking at him.

He then sighed and looked at me. "You know it's because of people like you why I don't get girls. One day you won't give someone the time of day and the next you like them. Man girls are confusing." He said looking at me.

He then sighed and looked at me. "Look he still likes you he just thinks chasing you is a waste of time so just switch roles with him." He said looking at me.

"What?" I asked looking at him. I understand what he meant but I just wanted to make sure I heard him right.

"You heard me switch roles with him. It's your turn to persue him instead of him persuing you." He said looking at me. I then sighed.

Yep that's what I thought he meant. I don't want to do anything like this however in this situation I think I'll make an exception.

P.O.V. [Name]

I was waiting by the school gates for Takao. We lived close to each other so I usually ended up walking her home.

I then saw Takao walking towards me. "Hey Takao how was your day?" I asked looking at her.

"It was good [Name]-kun." She said looking at me. I did notice the suffix that she added onto my name. However it was nice to be called that so I think I'll always allow it.

As we were walking home Takao brought up a strange topic. "Hey [Name]-kun have tou ever kissed anyone?" She asked looking at me.

I blushed slightly and looked at her. "Why do you ask?" I asked looking at her.

"Just a little curious was all. . . I've never kissed anyone." She said looking at me.

How was that true she's so pretty. If nothing else she could have probably get someone to agree to kiss her even if they don't like her.

"Why's that?" I asked looking at her.

She then blushed and looked at me. "I have always wanted my first kiss to go to a man that I love." She said looking at me.

She then stopped and looked at me. I in turn stopped and looked at her. She then asked me yet another odd question. "Have you ever thought about someone? You know in that way?"

When she asked this I turned really red. How was I supposed to answer that? I mean I have but the only person I've thought things like that about are all about her.

"Yeah I guess I have." I said looking at her and my face becoming extremely red.

It took her only seconds to figure out what I meant when I said that and then she also blushed. "They're about me huh?" She asked looking at me.

"Look Takao-chan I really don't want to discuss these type of things with you." I said looking at her. She then smiled and looked at me.

I didn't understand why until I went over what I had just said. I had called her Takao-chan. I was about to apologize until she went a head of me.

I then looked up at the sky and noticed it was getting a little late the sun was already about to sit. While we were walking we were passing through the part of our journey I always found the most fun.

It was a tunnel usually it wasn't that dark but because of how dark it was at the moment the tunnel was pretty dark. I just shrugged it off and was about to walk through it.

However Takao was not as happy with the idea as I was. [N-Name]-kun. I then turned to see that her face was a little red and she had her hand out.

"P-please hold my hand while we go through the tunnel." She said looking at me. I blushed at her request but took it without a second thought.

Her hand was soft and a little cold. When we walked through the tunnel I felt her pace slow down and she got closer to me. She eventually got so close that her arm began touching mine.

When we were out of the tunnel I started to walk at my regular pace again. While we were walking I hadn't thought anything about it up until now but we were still holding hands.

I blushed once I realized this. I went to loosen my grip however when I did I felt her get a little tighter. "Takao what's wrong?" I asked looking at her.

"Nothing why do you ask?" She asked looking at me.

"Well it's just you've been acting a little strange today is all." I said looking at her. She then looked a little upset which I was quick to fix. "B-but it's not the bad kind of strange it's the good kind of strange." I said looking at her.

"So you're happy with the way I'm acting towards you?" She questioned looking at me.

I was a little confused but answered none the less. "Takao-chan I'm always happy with way you act and not just towards me but towards everyone." I said looking at her.

She smiled and looked at me. "Good because I can see my house and I have something to tell you there." She said as we approached her house.

However as we got there she stopped right at the doorway and looked at me. "[Name] I want the truth. Do you still love me?" She asked looking at me.

I sighed and nodded. "Yes Takao-chan I do still love you." I said looking at her. She then smiled and looked at me.

"Good now I have another question for you. Do you still want to date me?" She said looking at me her face extremely red.

"Of course I do." I said looking at her. "It's just you got that guy you like and everything so I'd rather not mess things up between you and hi-" I started only to be cut off by a soft pair of lips.

She then separated from me a little a red. "You are that guy and I just proved it by giving you my first kiss." She said looking at me.

I nodded a little at a loss of what to say in this situation but she however smiled. She then kissed my cheek causing it to heat up. She chuckled at this and walked into the house.

I sat there for a mintue before what had just happened registered and I jumped into the air and yelled "YES!"
