P.O.V. [Name]

Here I was in jail. This just goes to show how truly corrupted this pitiful country has become. Being framed for something that I clearly didn't do. I don't think I even have the skills to do something like that.

It was all that executioner guy. He's the one that really killed them and yet when they couldn't find the body of him they pinned the crimes on someone else. The someone else being me.

I was going to be executed but not before one of the Jaegars came in to interrogate me. Try and get "information" out of me or to possibly discover my "motive" for doing what I did.

I heard the door open and looked to the side to see an old friend. Seryu just my luck that they'd send her in here. She has the strongest sense of justice I'd ever seen anyone have.

She looked at me and she had a stern look on her face. Something I hadn't seen on her in a long time. I noticed she didn't bring Koro guess she didn't want him to see her like this.

She waved her hand and the male that was behind her left and she walked into my chamber. "So why'd you do it?" She asked looking at me.

I turned away from her and looked at the ceiling. "I didn't," I said looking sat the ceiling. I know that she wouldn't believe or that the entire capital wouldn't believe me but I'm going to say that I didn't until that day comes.

"Then why are you in here?" She asked looking at me. I could hear it in her voice she was trying to stay strong but some of her sadness was slipping through.

"Does it matter? No matter what I say you won't believe me," I said looking at the ceiling.

"GIVE ME A REASON!" She said yelling at me when she said this it caused me to sit up and look at her. She looked both angry and sad with tears coming from her eyes.

She then walked over to me and pinned me against the wall. "GIVE ME A REASON! GIVE ME THE REASON THAT THE CRYBABY THAT I KNEW GROWING UP IS SUDDENLY EVIL TELL ME IT'S BECAUSE YOU WERE BULLIED OR BECAUSE YOU FINALLY SNAPPED. Just please" She said falling to her knees. "Just give me a reason please . . . I'll believe anything you say so please tell me,"

I felt sorry for her. I had already come to terms with my fate but I never even thought about how she felt. "I don't know," I said looking at the ceiling.

When I said this she looked at me a little surprised. "They just showed up a few nights ago and said that I had been the reasons that there were so many recent deaths. They threw me in here without telling me anything," I said looking at her.

"What about the trail?" She asked looking at me.

"What trail?" I asked slightly confused by what she meant. Was I supposed to get a trail? If so why wasn't I told and let out if jail the day of the trail.

"You know the trail where you confused to killing them and said that yoy wanted the empire to burn down to the ground," Seryu said looking at me. When she said this I was surprised that she said this and I looked at her.

"I never said that more importantly I was never given a trail. I was just told that I was going to be executed fir the murder of 78 different people," I said looking at her. When I said this she looked up at me a little hopeful.

"Really?" She asked looking at me.

"Yeah that's the truth," I said looking at her she smiled when I said this and did something I never expected her to do. She gave me a surprise kiss on the lips.

It lasted for almost a second but it was surprising nonetheless. "This is great news. Now all I need to do is a few things and I'm sure I can get you out of jail," she said as she walked out of the room.

I was still in shock about her kissing me and when she left I placed my fingers to my lips. Well this gave me something else to think about while I waited for my execution.

I waited several days hoping that Seryu would come back and give me some form of information. However she never did I asked a few if the guards where she was but they always ignored me.

Then the day of my execution came and general Esdeath herself came to my cell. "Follow me," she said putting several different cuffs on me. When she did she dragged me down the hall.

We came to a room and she turned around to look at me. "This is where you will be executed," she said looking at me.

"I thought I was scheduled for a public execution?" I said looking at her.

"The Emperor had a sudden change of heart and now you'll be executed in front of him," She said looking at me.

"Oh," I said looking at her. I suppose it wasn't entirely bad. I mean at least this way Seryu wouldn't have to watch me die. When we walked into the room I saw some with their head cut off.

I felt my stomach tense up at this and tried to keep myself from throwing up but it was futile and I threw up in front of Esdeath. "What do you think about this?" Esdeath asked looking at me.

"THIS IS DISGUSTING WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU! WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THIS TO SOMEONE!?" I asked looking at her.

When I said this she looked at me and sighed. "Looks like Seryu was right," she said looking at me. I was a little confused by this and she took off my handcuffs.

"You're free to go but if you ever talk to me like that again I'll personally be your executioner," she said looking at me.

I nodded a little afraid and walked out of the room. When I did I saw Seryu looking at the door a little nervous and she hugged me. "I'm glad you're okay," she said looking at me.

"I'm fine just a little confused," I said looking at her.

"Well your loyal friend Seryu said that you weren't the killer. At first I thought she was letting her emotions get in the way of her thinking but she provided evidence that you had been framed and just to make sure you weren't the killer we conducted this test. You passed so you're free to go," she said looking at me.

I walked outside with Seryu guiding me after all I wasn't to familiar with the capital. Once we were outside we walked around. "Still protecting me after all these years huh?" I asked looking at her.

"Of course I couldn't say that I stood for justice if I didn't. I'm honestly a little surprised that you didn't cry when I came to visit you," she said looking at me.

"No I think I got all the crying out of my system when they first arrested me," I said looking at her. She laughed slightly at this and we walked around town.

She stopped a few time to tell some people t be responsible and things of that nature. I would have left things like they were but there was one question burning in the back of my mind.

"Hey Seryu mind if I ask you a question?" I asked looking at her.

"Of course not [Name]," she said looking at me.

"Well back when you were talking to me. When I was still in my cell you kissed me. . . I just want to know why is all?" I said looking at her.

"W-well to be honest I've had a huge crush on you for a long time now," she said turning a little red. I also turned red hearing this and looked at her.

"How long exactly?" I asked looking at her causing her to turn a little red.

"Ever since we were kids," she said looking at me. When she said this I looked at her and she looked at me. "Look if you want we can pretend that it never happened and-" she began only for me to cut her off.

"N-NO!" I said looking at her. When I said this she looked at me slightly surprised. "I mean I don't think that would help. So how about we you know become a couple. Seems like an easier and nicer solution than just ignoring it," I said looking at her.

She smiled when I said this and kissed me again. I was once again surprised by this however unlike last time I was able to relax into the kiss.

We stayed like that for a long time but we eventually separated and she looked at me. "I also forgot to mention they sold your house so you'll have to stay with me from now on," she said looking at me.

It would have been nice if she told me that sooner but at the moment I think I'm somehow okay with that.
