P.O.V. Meiko

I was walking down the street I was going to meet [Name] at the park. Funny he usually didn't like the park he mostly tried to avoid it if anything.

I then got a text from Len. I smiled looking at it.

I think we should meet up tonight

Sure thing sweetie what time?

I was thinking around 8:00 tonight would be great. I got something really important I want to tell you.

Sounds great I'll see you there. I love you

I smiled putting my phone away and walked into the park. When I got there I saw [Name] sitting on the swings. I walked over to him and smiled

"Hey [Name] guess what?" I said looking at him.

"What?" He asked smiling at me.

"Len said he's got something he wants to tell me tonight. I can't wait to know what it is." I said looking at him.

"Oh that's cool," [Name] said looking at me.

"Well what's the big secret? Why'd you call me here?" I asked looking at him.

He sighed and looked at me before pulling out a small box that was wrapped up and pulled out an envelope. "Happy birthday," he said looking at me.

"You know you could have waited until my birthday party." I said looking at him.

"Yeah about that . . . I'm not going to be able to make it. I'm a little busy." He said looking at me.

"Not make it? Okay what gives you've been busy all month?" I asked looking at him.

"It's not important," he said looking at me.

"Not important? [Name] your my best friend! You're supposed to be there for me!" I said looking at him. When I said this he just stood there quite for a moment.

I had enough of him and just walked away. I looked at the stuff he gave me and walked to my house. I got there and put what he gave me on my dresser.

I then looked in the mirror and smiled after all I got a date with Len. I walked down the street and saw Len in front of the place we always meet at.

He then smiled and we walked in together. After a few minutes of silence passed he finally spoke to me. "So how's your day been?" He asked looking at me.

"Not good [Name] said he's going to miss my party." I said looking at him.

"I'm not surprised with what's going on tonight and everything." He said looking at me.

"Why what's happening?" I asked looking at him.

"He didn't tell you? Man I thought for sure he would have given you an envelope." He said looking at me. I then remembered the envelope he gave me and the present.

"Well I hate to be the one to make your day worse but I think we should see other people. I've actually been meaning to tell you this for a while but couldn't ever bring myself to say it." He said looking at me.

"W-what?" I asked looking at him.

"Yeah sorry but a few months ago I met this other girl and we really hit it off. Sorry it had to be this way but I'm sure you understand." He said looking at me.

"B-but i-it's my birthday," I said looking at him.

"Yeah again sorry it had to be like this but on the bright side this is going to be a birthday to remember." He said walking away. When he left I stayed behind for a few minutes.

I then got up and walked home. When I got there I went up the stairs and sat down. I then looked at the picture beside my bed it was a picture of me and [Name].

Man I wish [Name] was here even though we've been a little distant here lately he'd still treat me like he always has. He'd walk into the room make a corny joke then me and him would eat some ice cream for the rest of the night.

I then remembered the note that [Name] had given me as well as my present. I opened the box and saw that it was ring. Funny this is the ring I told Len I wanted a month ago and yet [Name]'s the one who got it for me.

I then opened the note and read what it said.

Hey Meiko this isn't how I wanted to tell you but every time I tried to tell you, you would always talk about Len and I didn't want to ruin your day. So anyway you know about my band right well we finally got sponsored and we're going to be traveling around the world in a few days. We do a concert on your birthday and then we leave the country. If your interested then I guess I should tell you that it ends at ten Sorry I had to tell you this way but I guess this is the last time we'll see each other for a while and if I handed this to you a little late then I just got one thing to say to you Meiko Happy birthday and I'm sorry.

My eyes widened when I read this. I wouldn't be able to be with my best friend anymore and to make matters worse I missed his going away concert for a date with someone who broke up with me.

Wait a minute or ends at ten I then looked at my clock and saw that it was nine fifty. I can still see him before he leaves. I then ran out the door and started to run down the street.

P.O.V. [Name]

I smiled seeing all the people that came to see us off. A lot more than I expected to be honest. As we were about to start walking off the stage we suddenly heard chanting.

"Encore, encore, Encore ENCORE, ENCORE, ENCORE, ENCORE!" I glad to hear that they liked us so much.

"So [Name] what do you say?" [BFF] asked looking at me.

"Why you asking me?" I asked looking at him.

"Well you are the singer it's more strain on you than on anyone. We're all good to go we just need your say so and we'll do an encore." He said looking at me.

"Yeah why not? So which song should we do?" I asked looking at him.

"Well seeing as how you're leaving her behind why not that song. I mean I don't think she's here so why not." [BFF] said looking at me.

"Okay why not had to get it off my chest eventually right." I said looking at him. When I said this he nodded. "Alright everyone we're doing one more song then we're leaving." After I said this they cheered and we started to do our last song of the night.

The music then started to play and [BFF] gave me a nervous smile. Wonder why? Guess at the moment it doesn't really matter that much.

After the music calmed down I smiled and waved to the crowd. "Thanks all of you. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for your support. We'll be back someday you can count on it." I said looking at them. When I said this they all cheered and we walked off stage.

As we were packing up a rather large and intimidating man walked up to me. "Hello [Name] there's someone here who says they know you." He said looking at me.

"Did they give a name?" I asked looking at him. When I asked this he nodded and looked at the paper in front of him.

"Yeah she said her name was Meiko" he said looking at me. Crap she's here? How much did she hear? Okay calm down and if anything happens just act like the song never happened.

"Okay yeah I know her let her in" I said looking at him. He then nodded and walked away and came back with Meiko in front of him.

"Hey so I see you read the message," I said looking at her. When I said this she nodded.

"Yeah I did. So is that why you've been so busy lately?" She asked looking at me.

When she asked this I nodded and a slight silence followed behind us. "So that song was it about me?" She suddenly asked looking at me.

I was quite for a little bit but sighed and nodded. "Yeah it was about you." I was quite waiting for her to tell me that she's flattered but it can't be or something to that effect.

What I wasnt expecting was her lips to meet mine. I was caught off gaurd but quickly relaxed into the kiss. When we seperated she looked at me.

"Sorry I was a little blind but guess it doesn't matter now that you're leaving." She said looking at me.

"Yeah guess it's a little late to be telling you this huh." I said looking at her. She then chuckled and I heard a loud cough from the van. I then turned to see [BFF] standing there looking at me.

"You know if that's the case we do have space for an extra roadie." [BFF] said looking at me and Meiko.

I smiled at this that's right we made extra room in the van in case any of us got girlfriends on the trip. I then looked at Meiko. "What do you say Meiko want to go on tour with us?" I asked looking at her.

When I daid this she smiled and nodded before our lips once again met each other. "Well I'll just be in the van when you two love birds are ready to go on tour come and join us," [BFF] said looking at us.
