P.O.V. [Name]

I sighed as I looked at the female in front of me. One the hero's that protected this world. Lily of the three-section staff. Hard to believe that she's a B-rank.

I honestly didn't see her making it that far into the hero organization. Who knows soon she may join me in the A-rank hero's. I may be the lowest A-rank hero but I can still hold my own.

Although there's someone else that I'm sure will pass me soon. The hero organization named him the caped badly. A lot of people say he's a fake but I know he's not.

I was there when he defeated the deep sea king. You can't fake the amount of power that he has. I then began to walk up to Lily a little nervous.

I've had a crush on her ever since we were young. I think I hide it well but that still doesn't stop me from getting nervous. When I reached her she smiled and hugged me.

"[Name] it's so good to see you again," she said as I felt my face heat up. She then stopped hugging me and I felt my face cool down just a bit.

"So how have you been?" She asked looking at me.

"Good, glad I finally got the chance to see you again," I said looking at her. She smiled hearing this and we started to walk down the streets.

"So I heard you made B-rank," I said looking at her.

"Yeah but I'm not that high in the ranks yet. I'm actually one of the lowest ranking B-Ranks at the moment. What about you? I heard that you became an A-rank," she said looking at me.

"Yeah but that was a while ago and I'm still the lowest ranking hero in A-Rank," I said looking at her.

"Oh well at the moment let's not worry about work. Let's go get something to eat," she said looking at me. When she said this she grabbed my hand and we started to walk down the street.

We then stopped at a dango shop and she ordered the two of us a stick of dango and we started to walk down the hall. "So how's your training going?" She asked looking at me.

"Not that great. He's actually the reason I haven't moved up in the ranks. All sweet mask has me do is getting ready for some kind of movie or song or something like that. I don't want to be an idol I want to protect others," I said looking at her.

"I thought it would be like that to be honest. I hear he's strong but he doesn't seem to interested in keeping the innocent safe," she said looking at me.

She's right, he doesn't have any concern for the innocent unless it's for the one's that have a camera at his face. However he is strong unbelievably strong for someone his age.

I then looked at Lily and smiled. It's nice to finally see a childhood friend after so long. "Hey [Name] you know this kind of feels like a date," she said looking at me.

I felt my face heat up when she said this and looked at her. "How so?" I asked my face turning a bit red.

"Well it's just the two of us, we're eating sweet's, and you're trying to make sure we have a good time," she said looking at me.

"In fact if you want you can even hold my hand," she said in a bit of a teasing manner. I felt my face heat up when she said this and looked down. She let out a slight laugh seeing this and then sighed.

"I see you still get easily flustered," she said looking at me.

"You know you shouldn't tease people like that. What happens if I think you're serious one of these times," I asked looking at her. When I said this she looked at me and sighed.

I then felt her hand fall ontop of mine and I tensed up. "If it really means that much to you then I'll let you hold my hand," she said looking at me.

I looked at her and blushed. She also had a slight shade of red covering her face but I don't think it's as dark as mine. I took her hand and smiled.

It really does feel like a date now that she mentions it. We then got up and started to walk through the city again. I then got a text and looked at it.

It was another text from sweet mask. He said he had a photoshoot for me planned. I then looked at Lily and she seemed a little upset. I didn't like seeing her like this and started to text him back.

I'm taking a personal day off so don't text me back. I then hit send and turned off my phone that way I didn't have to hear what he had to say.

I then put my phone back in my pocket and we once again started to walk down the street. "Who was that?" She asked as we continued down the street.

"No one important," I said looking at her. She may have thought this was a lie but in my opinion when it comes to her no one else is more important than her.

We continued until it was almost dark and then she smiled. "I had a great time today. It was really nice getting to see you again," she said looking at me.

"Yeah I had a great time too," I said looking at her. She then smiled and looked at me. She did something that made my face heat up. She kissed me on the cheek and walked inside.

I then placed a hand on my cheek and began to walk away. I know sweet mask is going to give me a lecture but it's worth it. I actually think I'll stay in this city.

I don't want to leave Lily again if sweet mask drops me as his understudy then so be it. She's more than worth it.

Timeskip

I was once again walking down the street with Lily. The past month had been the best time that I have had since I joined sweet mask. Lily then stopped and looked at me.

"[Name] what am I to you?" She asked looking at me.

"You're my friend why?" I asked looking at her.

"Friends, I see that's good to know," she said looking at me. We then continued to walk down the street and as we walked I saw that Lily looked a little sad.

"Is something wrong?" I asked looking at her.

"It's just . . . Have you ever thought we'd be more than friends?" She asked looking at me. My face heated up when she asked this I was going to tell her no but then I saw that she was a little upset.

"To tell the truth yeah I have," I said looking at her. When I said this she looked at me and seemed a little upset.

"How often?" She asked looking at me.

"I actually think about us being together a lot. I know you're just going to tease me later but I've actually liked you for a really long time," I said looking at her.

"Is that why you chose to stay here?" She asked looking at me. When she asked this my face heated up slightly and I nodded.

"Yeah it is, I hadn't seen you in such a long time. I didn't want to leave you again so I stayed behind so that we could be toge-" I began only for her to cut me off halfway through with a kiss.

My eyes widened when she did this but I quickly relaxed into the kiss and brought her closer to me. When we separated I looked at her a little confused and she smiled.

"Well at least I'll get to keep you all to myself," she said looking at me. I felt my face heat up when she did this and hugged her. Well this isn't the confession I had in mind but it's more than perfect.
