P.O.V. [Name]

I was walking through the school. I hadn't really done much today it was slow and nothing interesting happened to be honest. However I did hear we were getting a new student.

She didn't sound like much then again what do I know. All I've heard about her is that her name is kanta (fem kaneki) and that she wears an eye patch.

So my information may not be the best then again it's a little hard when more than half the school is scared of you. Hell even half of the teachers were scared of me.

Then again I don't really blame them. To be honest if I was them I'd probably be scared to. It's a little hard not to be with what goes on in this school.

Most of the kids that go here are ghouls so it's somewhat normal o guess. Then their are a few rare expections people like me. They tried to get other monsters to go her but things don't go the way we plan.

We had a few werewolves one time. . . they got eaten. A couple vampires here and there. Considering this school has windows in it things went south for them to. I think my favorite was that one time we had demon though.

He transfored to a different school although that one was my fault. I accidentally spilled some holy water on his face. He decided he never wanted to be in same country as me again.

I had heard that this new girl moved here because her best friend in her old country had died. A little sad to be honest but it can't be helped.

I the saw a girl with black hair wearing an eyepatch over one of her eyes. I shrugged and continued walking past her. I then saw someone walk up to her and whisper something in her ear before pointing at me.

Already warning the new girl to stay away from me huh. How expected of them. I sighed as I walked into class first things first. I guess I'll have to see how many people actually want to do gym today.

We're playing dodgeball so probably alot of people are going to play. I just wish the coach didn't make the rules so weird. I sighed as I walked into gym.

"Alright everyone as you know today we are playing the marvelous sport known as dodgeball please pair up with someone and sit on the bleachers." I sighed and walked to the top of the bleachers. No one's going to pick me to be their partner anyway.

I closed my eyes and was going to sleep through gym but then I felt someone tap on my shoulder. I opened one of my eyes to see the girl from before looking at me. "I-I need a partner." She said looking at me.

I was a bit taken back by this action. "Uh sure although it might better if you try to find someone els-" I was interrupted by the Mr/Mrs. [Teacher] yelling out at everyone.

"Alright now that everyone is paired up would Kanta and [Name] as well as [Two people you hate] come onto the court." I sighed as I got up and walked down.

Our gym teacher handed us each a ball and glared at me a little bit. Geez even he/she hates me what's everyone's problem. They then blew the whistle and I saw Kant launch her ball at them.

I had to admit it went a lot faster than I had expected. She had hit one of them squarw in the face causing a tooth to come out. This brought a smile to my face and I looked at her smiled "Well someone's got a canon for an arm." I said looking at her.

She gave me a kind smile as I handed her my ball. "Let's see if you can get the other one too. She nodded and threw the ball even faster than the first if that was possible. She actually nocked this one out cold. To be honest I found this extremely hilarious.

I then saw her looking at me a small smile on her face. I smiled back and headed towards the bleachers and sat down. She followed me and sat close to me. I couldn't help but find it extremely odd that even though she had been warned about me that she still didn't fear me.

Timeskip one month

I had [Least favorite class] next. I was going to skip it. I would have went if o thought I was going to fail but I knew I wasn't.

He's one of the teachers who didn't like me so he was going to pass me for the simple reason he didn't want to see me again. I walked out to the football field. My best friend [BFF] came up to me and sat down.

"So how's your day been?" He asked as he pulled out a pack of cigarettes. He pulled one out and offered me one. I took it and looked at him.

"Well today was interesting I guess." I said pulling a lighter out of my pocket and lighting the cigarette I had gotten.

"Really well that's good I guess." He then paused for a mintue before looking at me. "So you coming to my christmas party tonight." I shrugged and looked at him.

"What will we be doing?" I asked looking at him.

"Oh you know it's been awhile since someone through one of those really stupid parties so it's going to be one of those. You get the idea T or D and that sort of stuff.

"Oh god one of those." I said looking at him.

"Yeah so you coming or not?" He asked looking at me.

"Sure just don't make me do anything stupid like last time." I said looking at him. He nodded and looked at me.

"So anyone else you want me to invite?" He asked looking at me.

"Uh yeah the new girl Kanta for some reason she doesn't seem to be afraid of me." I said looking at him. He got a questioning look and sighed.

"Really the new girl? Alright if that's what you want." He said getting up. "I need to go it's only a matter of time before the nurse figures out I'm out here instead of getting that medicine for her." Have said walking off.

TIMESKIP (that evening)

I walked into the slightly full house. Surprisingly more people had come here than expected. [BFF] must have told some farfetched stories to get them all to show up.

I sighed and walked over to a seat that happened to be right next to the window. I closed my eyes as I heard [BFF] start to sing to his favorite song. It was times like this I wish he wasn't my closest friend.

I opened my eyes when I felt someone sit next to me. I saw Kanta looking at me. "So you decided to come?" I asked looking at her.

"Yeah your friend told me that you wanted me to come." She said looking at me.

"Yeah I did." I said looking at her.

"So if you don't mind me asking what are you?" I asked looking at her.

"What do you mean?" She asked rather nervously.

"Well everyone in our school is specail as you know so are you a ghouls werewolf vampire?" I asked looking at her.

"I-I'm-" she began and finished in a voice barly audible but I still heard it. "I'm half human half ghoul." She said looking at me.

I could tell she was extremely uncomfortable to I decided to take some of the tension out of the air. "I'm a sinner." I said looking at her.

She looked like she was going to say something but I cut her off. "Sinners are people who are dead and are forced to live amount the living. We are bond to hell by chains that can't be broken." I said looking at her.

"We are supposed to do good up here but usually people just do what I do and do their own thing. However for every good deed we do one of our links breaks and when all our links break we are supposed to get the one thing we craved most when we were alive." I said looking at her.

"So where are you chains?" She asked looking at me. I shrugged and lifted up my shirt to reveal a single link on my chest.

"This is my last link. I haven't broken it yet because I don't remember what I wanted the most when was. I'd rather just leave it a mystery then find myself being disappointed." I said looking at her.

"I guess that makes since. So what are you going to do when you remember what you want?" She asked looking at me. I lowered down my shirt and looked at her.

"Well first off I won't remember what I want. That's one of Gods little tricks we won't remember until we break the last link or if we randomly come across it on our own." I said looking at her.

"Alright everyone time to play truth or dare." I heard [BFF] announce. I sighed and he started to scan the room. "Alright Kanta truth or dare?"

"Truth" she said looking at him. He looked disappointed and I could have sworn I heard him mutter the words "Damn it" under his breath.

He looked at her and sighed. "I don't know . . . Do you like someone?" He asked looking at her. I saw her cheeks go a slight tint of pink as she looked at him.

"Yeah I do." She said looking at him.

"Really? Who?" He asked looking at her.

"It doesn't matter." She said looking at him as she turned to someone else in the room and asked them truth or dare.

Nothing interesting happened until it landed on [BFF]. Someone had a dare for him and he looked excited. I shrugged it off. I couldn't hear what he had told him. Because he whispered it his his ear.

I eventually found myself on the receiving end of this and someone asked me truth or dare.

"Seeing as how you're not [BFF] dare." I said looking at him.

"I dare you to hug Kanta for ten seconds." He said looking at me. I shrugged and went to hug her however I saw her face was a slight tint of pint which for her was a bit unusal.

I then heard someone running up behind me and stop just centimeters behind me. When I stopped at what I assumed was ten seconds I turned around and saw [BFF] holding something above my head.

I looked up and every fiber of my being wanted to punch him square in the face. He was holding a mistletoe above me and Kanta. "Sorry dude but a dare's a dare." He said looking at me.

I sighed as I turned to Kanta who was now a few shades darker than before. "Look Kanta you don't have to." I said looking at her.

"N-no it's fine I want to." She said leaning up towards me. I felt my own face heat up as I leaned down to place a kiss on her her. When our lips did touch I heard [BFF] saying something about us.

I then found myself remembering something I hadn't in a long time. I remembered what I wanted. I wanted a girlfriend who was going to be as devoted to me as I was to her.

I then heard some voice but I could only pick out what was saying however I paid him no mind. "Look that's so sweet. . . . [Name] Kanta you can stop now. . . [Name] . . . Kanta . . . oh well." I heard [BFF] say before turning to the others.

"Alright everyone [Name] is busy who wants to take his turn?" He asked looking at them.
