(Y/N) POV

"Ah shit, oh shit, fuck off you monster!" I yell as I run away from a boar

"You're supposed to be weak!" I scream as I run. SAO has trapped players for a few months now, and I still can't kill a boar. I rush to the town of beginnings, trying to escape my death.

"And safe!" I yell as I enter the safe zone. Before I could slow down, someone suddenly walks in front of me

"OOF," I mutter as I spin to avoid them

"Oh my! sorry I didn't see you there," I hear a girl say

"I'm good, I'm still alive....yea I'm still alive," I say patting my body and checking my HP gauge

The girl laughs a bit as I stand

"What are you laughing at?" I ask her finally getting a look. She had short pale brown hair and wear a unique hat like the Mexican rat singers you see in a Disney movie...I think it's Disney...who cares

"Oh, you just act so funny," She giggles

"I take offence to that," I mutter

"I'm sorry," She says looking at me

"Do you fight often?" She asks

"Um, yes....but I suck balls at it," I say as she begins to giggle again

"I'm Yuna, nice to meet you," She says smiling

"(U/N), I'm not good against monsters but I'm handy against other players in a fight," I say

"Are you sure," She smiles as she teases me

"Ask anyone who has faced me....oh right they are dead," I joke around

"Lies, your cursor is still green you silly," She smirks pointing above my head.

"Ah shit, I forgot my red plastic!" I blurt out as she continues laughing. My faces goes red Because at this point I'm just embarrassing myself

"Will, I better get going," I say as I storm away

"Hey! Wait up!" She yells as she grabs my hand

"What?" I say with a red face

"I didn't mean to embarrass you," She says sincerely

"It's fine," I mutter

"I was actually hoping you could escort me to the higher floors?" She requests

"I'm sorry, but I can barely kill a boar," I say

"You said you were good against players right? That's all I need or were you joking about that too," She asks

"No, I'm actually handy in a real fight, but against monsters...no way, they gross me out too much," I say

"That's kinda cute," She smirks as my face reddens

"Shush," I say looking away

"I guess I could escort you," I mutter as she jumps up and down

"Also, can you make sure no one interrupts my performances. I have another friend who is in the Knights of the blood oath but he is busy all the time," She explains

"Jesus, you just keep asking and asking, what do I get?" I ask

"You get a quarter of the profits from my performances," She says excitedly

"Performances?" I ask confused

"You know...like singing," She says with stars in her eyes

"Sure, if I get paid," I say as she begins to drag me around

This became the norm for me. I remembered when I heard her first song. My first thought was this girl is going places. And then I remember where we are. Nobody is going anywhere in this hellhole. So I dedicated my time off to training. I can now take on basic enemies, and I've been able to upgrade my gear too.

I've also met her friend Nautilus, a good guy actually. We usually hang out when the opportunity arises.

Everything was great. But I usually always fight alone. Yuna and Nautilus have yet to invite me to the battlefield. I have to admit, it hurts a bit...but boohoo, I'm not one to throw a fit.

Yuna was singing as I stood watching on guard duty. It became a habit. She sang and I protected her from touchy people. Without me, she would just get pushed around by people who want autographs or something stupid.

Her songs though... are something else. Maybe it's the game effect that becames active when she sings, or maybe just her normal voice. But it really lifts the spirit

She finishes for the day

"Wanna go grab a bite to eat?" I ask

"Sure, Singing really gets me hungry," She smiles.

"Awesome, I think a s--" I say as I trip on a small pebble. One thing about me is I'm clumsy....really clumsy. Yuna starts giggling

"You're just too funny," She says

"Oh you just Shut up," I grunt as I get up and continue walking

We head to a food place and grab some. It was silent and before I knew it, it was over

"Thanks for treating me," Yuna says

"Yea, no sweat," I reply

"I don't think I'll sing tomorrow, so see you in two days," She says as she waves bye

"Yea, cya," I say. I'm still not quite used to this...she still keeps me at an arms distance always... She never really inviting me anywhere other than when she sings

I go to bed and wake the next morning. I do my normal routine for training. Suddenly I get a message from Nautilus

"We need some help, I don't know how bad it will be but it sounds pretty bad, we are heading to the feral warder chief dungeon on floor 40. I know Yuna would never ask for help but I think we need some, we are just entering it and I got a bad feeling, please come if you can,"

"Ummm, ok," I say as I rush to floor 40. I know where the dungeon they are at is. I rush past enemies as I reach the boss room

I rush in to hear an Yuna voice singing...but enemies are chasing her as she desperately runs across the room as the others attack the main boss. I hop down and attack the closest minion to her. She looks surprised at first

"Your singing and you didn't invite me, I'm feeling that you don't like me," I say teasingly...but there is some truth in that sentence

"My bad, I knew you didn't like monsters so I try not to invite you to things like these," She says as I slash other enemies

"Is that seriously why?" I ask as she nods

"I've been training to fight them ya now," I say

"I didn't know that," She finishes as they kill the boss and the minions disappear

"Phew, that was that a close one, I'm in the red for Pete sake," She says rubbing the virtual sweat off her forehead

I look at her with a straight face," you know if you die, your dead right?" I ask

"Yea," She says a bit embarrassed

"I swear what am I gonna do with you two, " Nautilus says as he walks to us

"Do nothing," I say as we bro hug

"Yuna, you need to be more careful," He says to Yuna as he pinches her nose

"Ok, ok, ok ouch! I'll be more careful!" She says in pain

"Not laughing now are we," I tease as Nautilus looks at me

"And you, why were you so slow?" He asks

"I walked ok," I joke as he pinches my nose as Yuna laughs

"Owwww, what did I do," I complain in pain

"Yuna almost died just so you know," he says kinda aggressively

"but she still stands," I say as I escape his grip and suddenly trip and fall on my nose. I rub it as I stand up and as Yuna giggles

"Yea, we were lucky this time," He mutters

"Just be more careful," He says shaking his head

Time flew by, and before I knew it, I was in a hospital bed in real life. One moment I was listening to Yuna's voice and the next, I hear nothing.

A few hours pass and of course my family comes in. But all I could think of was the people I spent the last two years of my life with.

A year has passed since then, and I am watching TV. I've grown fond of singing, clearly because of Yuna. I remembered she always wanted to be a singer in real life. So, I've worked on becoming a manager, so that one day I might be able to get her where she wishes to go.

As I flip through the channels, I can't find any new singers I've haven't already listened to. I find myself walking the streets, I enter a pub to grab a bite to eat. I order a BLT and sit around to wait for my food. I wait for a good 6 minutes before I notice something...someone's singing

I don't know how I missed it, the singer was a girl based on her voice, I can't see her as she is on the other side and I have poor eyesight and I didn't bother to put my glasses on before leaving the house.

Her voice sounds good, like really good. I can hear that she makes small errors every now and then, but they are so small most people don't notice.

My BLT arrives as I munch on it as I listen to her. Eventually, she gets off the small stage and another someone takes her place...and her singing was so terrible that I left the place without finishing my sandwich....my ears couldn't take it. I rush outside before my ears implode

During my rush, my foot got caught on the door frame and I face plant on the pavement outside

"Fuck me," I mutter as I groan

"Are you ok?" I hear someone ask as they try to hold in their laughter

"I'm perfect," I say sarcastically as I look at her. As expected, I'm blind as a bat and can't see shit

"You look familiar," She says looking at me

"I think everyone who faces plants looks familiar after," I say

"Oh my, the way the talk reminds of me of someone, say were you in SAO?" She asks

"Yea?" I say confused as I squint at her trying to see some detail...leaving my glasses behind was a huge mistake

"You aren't by any change (U/N) are you?" She asks excitedly. It finally clicks in my head

"well I'll be damned, your Yuno?" I ask

"Oh my god, your (U/N)," She says hugging me, as she does her details come into view as she gets closer. This is for sure Yuna, her facial details, the way her hair is done up, her hat for Pete sake. All Yuna

"I'm Yuuna," She says smiling

"(Y/N)," I say as milling back.

"So was that you singing before this hearing killer got on stage, " I ask as she starts laughing

"Yes that would have been me, I haven't exactly been able to go big time yet," She says nervously laughing

I smile as I hear this

"Oh man, you were great. You made a few tiny mistakes but nothing big," I say getting a bit excited

"Do you follow music? I've never had anyone notice my mistakes before?" She asks

"Yea, in fact, I'm working toward being a manager," I say

"Oh really, that's cool!" She says

I smirk even harder as I say this," Say, would you like to my first singer?" I ask. Yuuna is at a loss of words. But finally, smiling wickedly she says

"yea, I'd love to be,"

3 Years later

The crowd cheers as I look on from behind the huge stage. We finally did it Yuuna...no...you did it. I smile as I look at all her fans

We just finished our biggest event yet.

Yuuna looks at me as she runs across the stage and grapples me into a strong hug

"We did it!" She yells I can barely hear her throughout the out the cheering crowd

"You did it," I say smiling. Her dream has finally been achieved

"I couldn't do it without your help," She says looking into my eyes

"Well, be glad you didn't die back in SAO," I say teasing her

"Good thing, I had my protector protecting me," She says as her lips meet mine.

"I told you not to kiss in public," I say blushing as she pulls away

"I don't care, we have been going out for a year now," She says puffing her cheeks

"Ok fine, but we need to head to your next concert, I say looking at my tablet. My attention is drawn back to Yuuna has she kisses me again

"Thank you," She mutters

"Anything for your lovely voice," I mutter as I kiss back
