Beacon

Nyx POV

The battle was raging all around us. Nod Fanatics charged into the fray, only to be mowed down by Watchtowers. I saw Purifiers falling, and a MARV exploded. I could only watch as our brothers fell by the dozens. Militants, Confessors, Awakened. Riflemen, a Commando. It didn't matter. They fell under the onslaught of enemies. Then we all stopped as a massive ship floated overhead. We agreed upon a temporary truce until we could figure this out.

As we returned to our respective field bases to nurse our wounds and repair our vehicles, a miniature black hole appeared about 30 meters away from where the battle took place. "Fire the Ion Cannon!" I heard a GDI commander yell. "Don't!" I began, but the firing sequence had already begun. Then, I heard a missile launch behind me. I turned my Warmech toward the sound, only to see our Temple of Nod firing a nuclear missile. The combined forces of the three weapons overturned vehicles, and I was sucked into the resulting wormhole.

Then, everything was white.

Weiss POV

I was sitting at my desk, trying to study while my teammates were doing their own thing. Blake was reading, while Yang and Ruby were playing a game and yelling at each other. I turned to shout for them to be quiet, but when I turned, I saw the others looking out the window. "What is that?" Yang asked in wonder. I walked to the window and nudged Ruby out of the way. What I saw was a 30 foot tall, bipedal robot limping into Beacon's courtyard. I grabbed my sword and dashed down there.

Nyx POV

My Avatar wouldn't hold together much longer. I needed a place to stop and fix it. I limped through a large forest, and I came across some odd black and white creature that looked like a bear. I walked by it, thinking it would ignore me. As I did, it looked up, and tried to attack me. I fired the Avatar's laser at it, and it disintegrated.

I went through the forest as fast as I could after that.

I eventually stumbled upon some sort of very large building. As my Avatar began to fail, I wondered if there was anyone here. I put out an emergency beacon. I turned on the radio and broadcasted on all frequencies. "If anyone can hear me, I require immediate assistance. I believe I'm in a GDI controlled Blue Zone. Send help." I said. I then dropped the radio and waited for assistance.

Weiss POV

As I dashed down to the first floor, my Scroll picked something up. I turned the volume up and I heard someone saying "-one can...me I req.....GDI...Blue Zone....help." I was confused when I heard the garbled SOS message. I continued my mad dash outside, and when I got out there, I watched the robot collapse. The rest of the team made it out shortly after I did.

"Where do you think it came from?" Ruby asked me. "It looks like it might have come from Atlas, but Atlas doesn't make things like this. I have no idea where this thing came from." I said. As I said this, Yang jumped on it and ripped out a back panel. "Yang! We have no idea what this thing is or what it might do! It might explode!" I said, annoyed at Yang's recklessness. "Relax, Ice Queen. We're all good. See?" She said, standing on top of it in a triumphant pose. When Yang did this, a person burst out of the machine and punched Yang across the courtyard. We all pulled out our weapons, and the person stared at us from under their helmet. He had a scorpion tail patch on his shoulder, and he was pointing a strange weapon at us.

He pulled the trigger, and a stream of flames burst forth, melting the ground where it touched. We all jumped out of the way, and the boy dropped his weapon, pulling a glowing green sword off of his back. He looked us over, and he dashed toward me. His sword came into contact with mine, and we attacked each other for a few minutes before Blake attacked him. The boy kicked me in the stomach and crossed swords with Blake instead. Ruby was helping Yang up, and I turned back to Blake in time to see her knock the boy's sword from his hands. She swung her sword, and he held his hands up. I scoffed. The boy thought his hands would protect him? And yet, as the thought crossed my mind, I saw some sort of crystal crawl over his hands. Gambol Shroud bounced off of his hands in a shower of sparks. The boy delivered a palm strike to Blake's stomach, sending her flying across the courtyard. Ruby and I dashed at him, and he turned around, his sword in his hands yet again. He swung, blocking Ruby's strike, but ignoring me. I struck his helmet, knocking it off, and I was shocked at what I saw.

The boy was about Ruby's age, and he had royal blue eyes and brown hair. But as I looked at him, there seemed to be something...off, about him. He had glowing green veins on the edges of his face, and his eyes seemed to have a green glow to them, and there was some white streaks in his hair.

He shoved me away from him, and I saw something in his eyes. Fear. "Yeah. I'm a freak. What are you gonna do about it GDI?" He asked. "What's GDI?" Ruby asked. The angry expression disappeared from his face. He then looked at us. "Is she serious?" He said. "Yeah. What is GDI?" I asked. "The Global Defense Initiative. Sworn enemy of the Brotherhood of Nod." He said. "What happened to your face?" Ruby asked bluntly. "Tiberium exposure. It mutated me. Kane managed to stop its progress, and now I can control it." He said, the veins disappearing from his face, and the green receding from his eyes slightly. They now had a soft glow, rather than a harsh glare. "Can we get you help?" Blake asked him kindly. "No. There's no returning a Tiberian Human to normal. Attempting to do so would kill me." He said. Then, Professor Ozpin walked out and saw the destruction we had caused, and he saw the boy. "Young man, did you do this?" Ozpin asked. "Mostly, yes. Can you tell me where I am?" He asked. "You are at Beacon Academy." Ozpin said. "No, what continent?" The boy asked. "Remnant." Ozpin said. "Well, now I know what happens when you fire a nuke and an Ion Cannon at a black hole." The boy said. He stuck his hand out to me. "Nyx. Nyx Hawthorne." He said. I shook his hand and said "Weiss Schnee." He grinned. "So...do you like 'Weissed' coffee? Or maybe a cappuschneeno? Do you 'Schneeze' a lot?" He said. Yang walked over and grabbed his hand. "We're gonna be good friends." She said to him. "Maybe even more then that." Nyx said, wiggling his eyebrows. Yang blushed and giggled, and Nyx chuckled.

"Mr. Hawthorne, if you want to stay here, you'll need to go through initiation." Ozpin said. Nyx just shrugged and said "Ok. Can I do that tomorrow? I'm actually really tired. I was in the middle of a war when I got here, so..." Ozpin nodded and said he could bunk with us. Nyx lifted Yang up, just to make her blush, and set her down, laughing. I had to admit, he was pretty handsome. We walked him back to our dorm, and he flopped down on my bed. I complained, but my complaints fell on deaf ears, as Nyx was asleep. I sighed and slid into bed next to him. " Not. A. Word." I said to the rest of my team as I fell asleep.

Just figured I'd try this to see who reads it.
