Blake POV

I slowly wake up the next morning and feel my shirt being gripped tight, I rub my eyes and look down and see Todd clinging to me like his life depends on it.

Blake: *giggles* So cute.

    Just then, the motel door opens and (Y/n) walks in delicately carrying a tray with a silver dome covering something.

Blake: Good morning, my love.

(Y/n): *startled* Ah!

      (Y/n) did jump a little, causing the contents on the tray to be tossed in the air, and while he did manage to catch most of, what I assume was breakfast, a final pancake landed on his face. I couldn't help but laugh as (Y/n)'s frowns in defeat and gently sets the tray on the side table.

(Y/n): Sorry, I thought you would still be asleep.

     I gently pry Todd off my shirt, stand and walk to (Y/n), as he sits in a chair, I gently take the pancake off (Y/n)'s face and eat it. I then gently forced him to look at me, and with a affectionate smile on my face, I clean off the syrup smear on his cheek with my finger and slurp it off.

Blake: It was awefully nice of you to be thinking of me.

(Y/n): You're always on my mind.

     I then see (Y/n) reaching up to wipe off some more syrup near his lips, I quickly stop him and he looks at me confused. I pull his face close as he grows a blush, I then lick the syrup off and lean in again to kiss him, when...

Todd: *fussing and whimpering*

Blake: *sigh* Master of perfect timing.

(Y/n): You eat, I'll feed Todd.

Blake: *places quick kiss on his lips* Thank you, dear.

      I start eating what was left of breakfast as (Y/n) attempts to feed Todd from a bottle, but Todd is being a picky eater but eventually Todd is fed and changed. I get a shower in, get changed, place a bow on my head to cover my Faunus ears and we ready to head to the Beacon Airships. (Y/n), makes triple sure that Todd's baby hat is both secure and comfy for him.

Blake: *places hand on (Y/n)'s hand* Sweetheart, it'll be okay.

(Y/n): Even with your disguises, humans will still pick on you because I can't hide my ears. I just fear that humans may try to hurt you to spite me.

Blake: You know better than I do that I can handle any bullies. *kisses (Y/n)'s cheek* And nothing is going to stop me from showing affection towards you.

(Y/n): *deep breath* I guess I can't stop you.

Blake: However, I do think we should keep our marriage a secret for now.

(Y/n): So, how do we explain Todd?

Blake: Just say that I was left with him and you're helping from now on.

(Y/n): *growing worried* I don't feel comfortable with this, what if people find out and we're-

Blake: (Y/n), calm down. I'm right here. *wraps arms around his* I'm not going anywhere.

(Y/n): *deep breath* Sorry. Okay, ready?

Blake: *kisses (Y/n)* Ready.

     I carried Todd while (Y/n) opted to carry all our luggage and we headed to the airfield. We board and take some seats, and I pull out a book and start reading until Todd starts wanting attention, before I can set down my book, (Y/n) takes Todd and sets him in the baby carrier and actually winks at me. Todd calms down and falls asleep again and I go back to reading. Even after we land, (Y/n) ends up carrying all our luggage under one arm, Todd is safely strapped into the baby carrier, he then tops it all off by allowing me to read and walk because his other arm is wrapped around my shoulder. I feel like the luckiest girl on the planet to have married (Y/n), he does everything without complaint, I'll need to find a proper way to thank him later. We walk for several minutes waiting for the introduction announcment to be held when-

*EXPLOSION*

(Y/n): AH!

     I immediately look up from my book only to see (Y/n) hide behind me, Todd had almost the same reaction. I start looking for where the explosion came from until I feel an object hit my boot, I look and see a dust vial with a worrysome logo on it.

????: Unbelieveable! This is exactly what I was talking about!

(Y/n): *scared* Blake, tell me that's not....

Blake: Yup. This just got interesting. *starts walking towards the conversation*

????: Hey, I said I was sorry, princess!

Blake: Heiress, actually. *both girls notice me* Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company. One of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world.

Weiss: Finally, some recognition-

Blake: The same company infamous for it's controversal labor forces and questionable buisness partners.

Weiss: Wha-! How dare you!

      The girl in red chuckled a bit at my remark, while Weiss just glared, swiped the dust vial and stormed off.

(Y/n) POV

   I approach hesitantly as the conversation ended.

Ruby: I promise I'll make this up to you! *mutters to herself* Guess I'm not the only one having a bad first day. *turns in my direction* So, what's you're- where'd she go?

(Y/n): Huh? *looks down and around* *spots Blake* Oh, sorry. I gotta go, it was nice meeting you!

Ruby: Yeah, see ya.

    I catch up to Blake...

(Y/n): You could've showed a little sympathy.

Blake: I won't show sympathy to anyone who treats-

(Y/n): Not her, Red riding hood. The girl with the red cape.

Blake: Oh.

(Y/n): Come on, the announcments are about to start.

Todd starts waking up and immediately starts wanting Blake to hold him, Blake happily took him and we waited at the edge of the auditorium. Basically, Professor Ozpin, Headmaster of Beacon Academy, told us something about wasted talent or whatever, then Professor Goodwitch told everyone that we'll be staying in the ballroom tonight before Initiation. Blake and I get some lunch before heading towards the ballroom, when Todd pointed at something.

Blake: What is it?

Todd: *coos and points again*

(Y/n): I think he's pointing at that tree in the courtyard.

Blake: Hmm, do you want to see the big tree, son?

Todd: *squeals with excitement*

(Y/n): But, what about-

Blake: Dear, the sun won't set for a few hours. Let's just sit and relax for a little while.

(Y/n):.... Oh, alright.

     I follow Blake and as Todd admires the tree, I set the luggage down and catch my breath, Blake then sits down next to me and wants to lay Todd on the ground but I stop her.

(Y/n): Wait. *pulls out blanket from baby bag* Here we go.

Blake: *giggles* You worry a bit too much, dear. *lays Todd on blanket*

(Y/n): The bare ground can be dangerous, there could be snakes, or sharp blades of grass, or-

     Blake forces me to look at her and covers my mouth with her hand.

Blake: Shh, it's alright. There's nothing to worry about right now. It's just you, me and our beautiful son, and we're here to try and keep people safe.

     Blake uncovers my mouth and I take a deep breath before she assaults me with a kiss on my lips. Blake has always been affectionate towards me, even before we started dating. The sun soon started to set so Blake picked up Todd and started getting his dinner ready as we went to the ballroom, I was still running full steam, carrying all the bags and everything else that we brought and headed to the ballroom. We find a more secluded spot in the ballroom and I set up our sleeping bags while Blake changed into her sleepwear. I catch my breath for a second before getting ready to give Todd his bottle, when Blake halts my progress and says.

Blake: It's alright, I'll take it from here. You get some food and rest.

(Y/n): But Blake I-

Blake: It's okay. You've been moving almost nonstop all day, you deserve some rest. I'll feed Todd, now go eat, I know how you get when you're hungry.

(Y/n): *relaxing sigh* *whispers* Thanks, honey.

Blake POV

     (Y/n) walks off and I sit down and hold Todd with one arm, his bottle resting in the crook of my neck, while I read a book from my other hand. Todd eats from the bottle happily as I read until I hear a commotion headed towards me. I look up and see a blonde girl dragging the girl that was wearing the red cape earlier today.

Blonde: Hello! I believe you two know each other.

Blake: Aren't you the girl who exploded today?

Ruby: Yeah, sorry about that. My name's Ruby.....

Yang: *whispers* What are you doing?

Ruby: *whispers* I don't know. Help me!

Yang: Um, I like your bow.

Blake: Uh, thanks. *Todd starts fussing* Oh, excuse me.

     I see Todd's bottle is empty, so I take it and start trying to make him burp onto his blanket.

Yang: *starstruck* Aw, he's so cute. Is this one yours?

Blake: Um, yes. *Todd burps* There we go.

Ruby: What's his name?

Blake: *blushes a little* Todd.

Ruby: I like it. What were you reading?

Blake: It's about a man with two souls fighting for control.

Yang: That's nice.

Ruby: I like books too. The hero triumphs over evil and I wanted to be just like them.

Blake: And what? Live happily ever after?

Ruby: Yeah.

Blake: That's pretty ambitious for a child. Unfortunately, the real world doesn't work like that.

Ruby: Well, that's why we're here. To make things better.

     I was honestly a little in awe of Ruby's optimism, especially for someone so young.

Yang: Oh, I'm so proud of my little sis! *hugs Ruby*

    Ruby and Yang start fighting, I'm about to ask them to take it somewhere else when-

Weiss: What is going on over here?! Don't you realize some of us are trying to sleep? *sees Ruby*

Weiss/Yang: Oh no, not you again!

Ruby: Shh guys, she's right. Others are trying to sleep.

Weiss: Oh now you're on my side.

Ruby: What the- I was always on your side!

Yang: Yeah, what do you have against my sister?!

Weiss: She's a hazard to my health!

(Y/n): Is everything alright?

Weiss: Excuse me! I'm trying to- *turns to (Y/n) and sees how huge he is* Oh my god.

(Y/n): Ladies, Ms. Blake is trying to put her baby to sleep for the night. I'd suggest you go back to your sleeping bags and wait till morning to continue this conversation. *sheepishly* Please.

Weiss: *recomposes herself* Well, I was done anyways, Faunus.

Blake: *tries to hide anger* Please don't talk about my boyfriend like that.

Weiss: This Faunus is your boyfriend?

Blake: Yes, and if you've got a problem with that then we are going to have some serious words.

      Weiss doesn't continue and just storms back to her sleeping bag.

Ruby: Sorry, we'll leave you three alone. Good night.

(Y/n): Uh, good night, Ruby.

Yang: Wow, I'm jealous you've got a man like him, Blake.

Blake: *surprised* Oh, uh, thank you.

The girls leave and I sit back down and take a deep breath, (Y/n) sits next to me.

(Y/n): Sorry I took so long.

Blake: *leans against (Y/n)* It's alright. I think it's time for bed.

(Y/n): Agreed. We've got a big day tomorrow.

     (Y/n) gets settled in, but I stay sat up a little longer and just gently rock Todd in my arms as he yawns I start to sing him a song I always sang to him if he was upset or just sleeping.

     I lay Todd in between (Y/n) and I, I lean over and kiss (Y/n) on the lips.

Blake: I love you, (Y/n).

(Y/n): I love you too, Blake.

     One last kiss and I lay down and kiss Todd's cheek, in his sleep Todd grabs my finger with his hand and (Y/n)'s with the other. I smile at the adorable sight and kiss Todd one last time.

Blake: I love you, baby of mine.

With that I close my eyes and fall asleep with my family, hopefully, never to part ever again.
