(Y/n) POV

     Ava and I are making our way through the forest when we come across a large group of beowolves.

Ava: Finally, I was aching for some action! Ready partner?!

(Y/n): *scared* Not really.

Ava: Come on, just throw your weight around and show these Grimm who's boss.

(Y/n): *deep breath* Okay, let's do this.

     And in the blink of an eye Ava is already rushing in, for someone so small, she's really fast. I go in after Ava as she draws the attention of all the Grimm, I hit the first Grimm I see with a hefty swing of (W/N). I've never had problems going up against Grimm, so jumping into action was a piece of cake. I swing left and right taking down one grimm after another. Pretty soon the entire pack is destroyed and I catch my breath.

Ava: That was awesome! Man you are a lot different when around Grimm than you are with other people.

(Y/n): I don't have problems going against Grimm, but people make me nervous.

Ava: Well, that will change with us working together. So, shall we keep- *wolf ears twitch* Do you hear that?

    I listen and I hear heavy footsteps getting closer.

Ava: More Beowolves?

(Y/n): Sounds bigger.

      Suddenly, the trees are being knocked over and the forest splits to reveal-

Ava: *shocked* Uh-oh.

(Y/n): *scared* Can we panic now?

Ava: ....Yes.

Goliath: *TRUMPETING BELLOW*

Blake POV

Blake: Did she just run all the way here with a Deathstalker on her tail?

Yang: I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something crazy happens again?!

Two seconds later

Ruby: Um, Yang.

Weiss: How could you leave me?!

      As Weiss dangles from a Nevermore as it flies.

Ruby: I said jump.

Blake: She's gonna fall.

Ruby: She'll be fine.

Ren: She's falling.

     Seeing this Jaune tries to leap and catch Weiss, he just forgot how gravity works.

Rocket: Do you think they'll explode? Hehehe.

Tony: No, but that isn't going to end well.

????: AHHH!

     I look to the tree line and see Ava and (Y/n) crash through like they're running away from something, when (Y/n) trips and lands on Ava, the pair roll down the hill and off the edge of a low outcrop. The pair then crash on the ground with (Y/n)'s face in the dirt and Ava sitting on his back.

Rocket: Hahaha! Do that again!

Blake: (Y/n)?! *rushes forward*

Ava: No, we've gotta get out of here!

Blake: What are you-

       Suddenly a massive Goliath Grimm smashes through the forest as the crowd regroups.

(Y/n): RUN!

   Ava does grab the final chess piece at the ruins before we all run towards the cliffs, sadly, the Nevermore, Deathstalker and Goliath gave chase. I tripped and fell, I tried to recover but the Goliath was almost on top of me, I flinched away until I heard the Goliath falling to the ground. I open my eyes and see that (Y/n) has somehow managed to force the Goliath to fall over, impressive since the Goliath was the size of a building.

(Y/n): *turns to Blake* Are you okay?

Blake: Yeah, how did you do that?

(Y/n): *looks at his hands* I don't know.

Tony: Guys look out!

    Tony wears a mechanized armored suit and fires a laser from his palms at the Goliath knocking off balance further.

Ava: Blake! Rejoin your partners, we've got (Y/n)'s back.

Blake: But-

Rocket: Get a move on lass! Things are 'bout to get explody in here! HAHAHAHA!

    I wasn't given much choice when (Y/n) picked me up and tossed me towards the rest of the group.

Blake: *to herself* Please be careful, my love.

(Y/n) POV

      The Goliath has started getting back up.

Rocket: What do we do now?!

Ava: (Y/n), you used to work as a medic right?

(Y/n): I don't see how that helps us.

Ava: You studied anatomy of not just humans and Faunus but also of Grimm, right?

(Y/n): Yeah, I guess. *deep breath* Okay, Goliath's are so big and heavy that they need three legs on the ground at all times.

Tony: How are we supposed to get past the giant head that sits directly in our way?

Ava: Tony, Rocket and I will distract the Grimm, (Y/n) take out the legs.

(Y/n): Wait, what?! Why me?!

Ava: You are easily the strongest of us, you can take out those legs with one swing. I know you can do this, just don't hold back.

(Y/n): *gulp* Okay.

     I've gotta give Ava credit, she can think on the fly really well, Tony started by blasting the Goliath in the head with a blast from his hand lasers, then flew out of it's range allowing Ava and Rocket to attack from beneath. Rocket used, I assumed, his Semblance which allowed him throw or fire anything at the Goliath and the objects exploded on impact. Ava then used her two swords like ice axes and climbed on top of the Goliath, once she got to the Grimm's back some smaller Grimm manifested go stop her, Ava simply howled like a wolf and suddenly 4 or 5 spectral wolves appeared and took down the small Grimm, allowing Ava to stab the Goliath on top of it's head.

Ava: Now (Y/n)!

      I started but hesitated, the Goliath started fighting back and threw Ava off it, then swing it's head dragging it's tusks through the ground and sending Rocket flying across the ground. The Goliath then targeted me and charged me, Tony was quick to react and got between us and fired his chest laser for as long as he could.

Tony: Come on, man! Pull yourself together! We're all going to die if you don't do your part. We need you.

     The Goliath hit Tony and he smashed into a rock, I look at all my teammates lying on the ground still alive but their Aura's broken. I then look over in Blake's direction and see her and her new teammates working together to take down a Nevermore. Something starts stirring inside as I my fear turns to anger.

(Y/n): *TRUMPETING BELLOW*

Blake POV

     Ruby, Weiss, Yang and myself have just finished off the Nevermore and we stood next to eachother and I took a chance to catch my breath.

Yang: Well, that was a thing.

????: *TRUMPETING BELLOW*

I turn around and try to see but it's hard to tell what's happening.

Blake: Yang can you swing me over to the other side? I think (Y/n) might be in trouble.

Yang: Yup.

     I hand Yang my grapple and she starts swinging me around in circles and then threw me with all she had left and from the air I could see the Goliath getting pushed and knocked around. I land and approach the battlefield and see (Y/n)'s partners just starting to recover, I approach Ava first.

Blake: Ava, are you okay?

Ava: *groans* I think so. What happened?

Blake: I was about to ask you the same thing. *looks around* Where's (Y/n)?

????: *TRUMPETING BELLOW*

      I look up at the Goliath and see something punching away at it's face.

Blake: What is that?

     The Goliath finally collapses as the creature smashes both it's fists on the top of the Grimm's head. The creature then jumps off and lands in front of me.

(A/N): Minus the sword, clearly.

It roars into the sky before looking down at me breathing hard, I then see this creature's eyes and recognize him.

Blake: *surprised* (Y/n)?

Weiss: *aggressive* Blake! Get away from that thing!

      I turn around and duck just in time to avoid Weiss' white glyph hitting (Y/n).

Blake: Weiss wait-

(Y/n): *ROAR*

      (Y/n) jumps at Weiss, but Ruby was able to pick her up and Yang activated her Semblance and punched (Y/n) square in the jaw. (Y/n) powered through it and punched back sending Yang backwards across the ground. Everyone else joined in across the field, I need to do something before someone really gets hurt.

Ruby: Ready? We all attack together, we can overwhelm it.

     All the students charge and (Y/n) sits there waiting when I jump in between them.

Blake: WAIT!

      Everyone stopped and grew a very confused expression.

Jaune: Blake, what are you doing?!

     I didn't say anything and just turned to (Y/n) who was just as confused as everyone else, I slowly approched him with an affectionate smile on my face.

Blake: (Y/n)? I know you're in there. You did it, you won. *takes (Y/n)'s hands in hers* I need you to stop fighting. Okay? I need you to calm down.

      The breathing of this creature slows as he does as I ask him, his form starts transforming and he walks away and collapses as it finishes. I rush over to (Y/n) as he slowly gets to his hands and knees, he looks at my affectionate expression and grows a tad confused when he looked at everyone else.

(Y/n): Did I hurt anybody?

Blake: No. What about you, what happened?

(Y/n): *rubs nose trying to remember* I was supposed to take out the Goliath, but I hesitated and everyone got hurt. I looked at you struggling and everything went blank. I can't remember what happened next.

Blake: I'll explain later, but right now we need to get back to the cliffs and finish this test. Come on, get up.

     Yang helps me get (Y/n) to his feet and somehow make it to the top of the cliffs, and after (Y/n) is aloud to change clothes, we all end up in the auditorium and are assigned teams.

Ozpin: Russel Thrush, Cardin Winchester, Dove Bronswing, Sky Lark. The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces. From this day forward you will be known as team CRDL. Led by Cardin Winchester.

*Applause*

Ozpin: Ava Moonwalker, (Y/n) (L/n), Rocket, Tony Marston. The four of you retrieved the black knight pieces. From this day forward, you will be known as team AART. Led by Ava Moonwalker.

*Applause*

Ozpin: Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward you will work together as team JNPR. Led by Jaune Arc.

Jaune: *surprised* Led by-

Ozpin: Congratulations, young man.

*Applause*

Ozpin: Finally, Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee and Yang Xiao Long. The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From this day forward you will work together as team RWBY. Led by Ruby Rose.

*Applause*

(Y/n) POV

     After the ceremony, I find Blake amongst her new team.

Blake: *notices me* (Y/n).

(Y/n): I-I just wanted t-to say, great work.

Blake: You were great too.

(Y/n): Please don't lie. I put everyone in danger, twice.

Blake: *takes my hands in hers* You are fine. Everyone is alive and well, you did good and no one holds any malice towards you, except maybe the Ice Queen.

Weiss: Hey!

Goodwitch: Ms. Belladonna?

Blake: *sees baby* Todd! *as she takes him in her arms* Hey, how's my little guy?

Todd: *coos contently*

     Blake kisses her son's cheeks as the others gather around and start doting on little Todd, I just stand a little ways away until Blake approaches and hands Todd to me. I happily took him and we were all assigned team dorms, I opted to care for Todd tonight until Blake and I figured out a permanent arrangment.
