Yang POV

     I slowly wake up the next morning, surprisingly before the alarm, and looked down at my new son cuddled up next to me. I just smile at how cute he is and hold him a little tighter, we lay there and I dozed off again until the alarm clock went off. (Y/n) was surprisingly unfazed by the alarm and got up normally and yawned as he stretched, I sit up and stretch as well and tell him.

Yang: Good morning, sweety. *kisses (Y/n)'s forhead*

(Y/n): Good morning, Mommy.

     I get down from the bunk bed and then lift (Y/n) down and I get him bathed and dressed, I get cleaned up myself and when I'm dressed I carry him to the cafeteria and we eat breakfast. I couldn't help but look at his skinny frame, he needed to put on quite a bit of weight in order to help him recover. He ate absolutely everything I gave him as the rest of my team show up.

Blake: Never thought I'd see you up this early?

Yang: Well, things happen when you have a child to look after.

Ruby: Good morning, my little nephew.

       Ruby starts tickling and playing with (Y/n), which he seemed to really enjoy, then Weiss brings up a valid question.

Weiss: Not to be a downer, but what are we going to do about (Y/n) and the field trip today?

(Y/n): Field trip?

Yang: That's right. Mommy has something to do for classes that will require leaving the school for the day.

(Y/n): Do I need to stay here?

Yang: No, you just need to stay close to me, I'll protect you, promise.

(Y/n): *hugs Yang* Thank you, Mommy!

Blake: Are you sure about this, Yang?

Yang: Positive.

Ruby: Then we all know what we have to do. Keep an eye on (Y/n).

Everyone: Right!

Timeskip 1 Hour Later

     After a lot of persuasion, Professor Goodwitch allowed (Y/n) to tag along.

Yang: Now remember son, stay close to me while we're out there. Ok?

(Y/n): Yes Mommy.

Yang: That's my boy. *kiss (Y/n)'s cheek*

     We board the transport, but as soon as we board, an idiot starts talking.

Cardin: Hahaha, I didn't know Beacon was allowing strays into the school.

Glynda: Mr. Winchester, that will do. This boy will be staying at Beacon for the forseeable future. You will treat him with kindness or I won't be responsible for what Ms. Xiao Long may do to you.

     To emphasis her point I slam my fists together as my eyes turn red, this shuts him up for the duration of the flight. While we flew, I just played with (Y/n), I taught him how to do all sorts of games and fun things to do while flying. I then just ended up picking (Y/n) up and tickling him as we landed. I set (Y/n) down and he takes my hand as everyone follows Professor Goodwitch into the forest. I can see (Y/n)'s eyes filled with wonder and amazement at the trees and their continous fall look. Professor Goodwitch then explains our objective today.

Glynda: Yes students the tree of Forever Fall are indeed beautiful but Professor Peach has assigned you all to collect a jars full of red sap and I am here to make sure none of die while doing so. This forest is also full of Grimm so be sure to stay by your teammates. Alright, off you go then.

     I guide (Y/n) to a pretty good tree and I tell him to stay close so he doesn't get lost.

(Y/n) POV

     I am sitting patiently waiting for Mommy to finish getting the tree sap, when something moved in the bushes and I started getting scared because I thoight it might be a Grimm. Instead a cute little rabbit hops out and it peaks my interest, I slowly crouch down and try to get closer, but the bunny saw me and ran away.

Yang POV

(Y/n): Aww.

Yang: What's the matter, sweety?

(Y/n): I saw a bunny but it ran away when I got close.

Yang: Aw, you sweet thing.

     I give him a hug and kiss his forehead and we head back to the group, I lift him up onto my shoulders  and he laughes having a great time. We get to the group and Ruby pipes up at seeing us.

Ruby: Well, well (Y/n), when did you get so tall? *giggles*

     This gets the others attention and everyone starts laughing as well, while (Y/n) acts like he's flying. I'm so happy he has a smile on his face, and I will do everything I can to keep that smile. Just then though, we hear a loud monstrous roar in the distance and we all keep our guard up. I get (Y/n) down as a large pack of Grimm appear from the forest, I activate my guantlets and tell (Y/n)...

Yang: (Y/n), don't leave my side unless I say so!

(Y/n): Look out!

     I look and see an Ursa with it's paw in full swing, I block it and punch uppercut it's jaw decapitating it. I keep one arm on (Y/n) so I don't lose track of him, soon though more Grimm arrive and even with Professor Goodwitch's help, their numbers started getting out of control.

Yang: Girls can you give me some cover?!

Ruby: We've got your back Sis!

     I pick up (Y/n) and get him to a large tree and get him in the branches.

(Y/n): Mommy? *tearing up*

Yang: Shh, it's okay, sweety. But Mommy needs to help the others, stay hidden here until I come and get you. I promise I will find you, but I need you to be brave and stay here.

(Y/n): Ok. *trying to act brave*

Yang: That's my boy. Mommy will be back, I promise.

     I kiss his cheek and rush back to help my team, when I get there we turn the tables on the Grimm.

(Y/n) POV

     I do as Mommy says and try to hide in the tree, a Grimm does pass by but I don't think it detected me though. I then hear a voice in the distance, but it's not Mommy's voice, it sounds like a man.

????: Do we seriously have to do this? There are Huntsman in the area, they can handle those Grimm. Why do we have to go on patrol like this?

????: Because those were the orders we were given. Now shut your trap and remain vigilant.

     I try to see who they are but when a twig snaps, I quickly retreat back into the tree.

????: Did you hear that?

????: What is it?

????: I don't know, man.

     I remain as still as possible, and I hear them leaving, I quietly breath a sigh of relief, until the two surprise me and see where I've been hiding.

????: There you are.

(Y/n): Go away! Leave me alone!

     The man doesn't listen and pulls me out of the tree and to his three other friends, these men were wearing white and black hooded outfits and had Grimm masks on. I screamed as I curled up to hide my face, just then from across the clearing I hear-

Yang: Get away from my baby! RAAHH!

BANG BANG BANG

      I look up and see Mommy charge the hooded figures and easily takes them down. As soon as the men run back into the forest, Mommy calms down and gently lifts my head, I look at her and in a flood of tears I bury myself into her and she hugs me and quietly talks to me to try and calm me down.

Yang: Shh, shh, it's alright. Mommy's here. You're okay now, shh. Mommy's got you.

(Y/n): *through tears* They found me and pulled me out of the tree. I thought they were going to-

Yang: Shh, shh, you're ok. It's all over, Mommy's here and I won't let anyone hurt you again, promise.

     I continue to cry into Mommy's chest, she just holds me tighter to let me know she's not leaving me. Mommy picks me up and we head back to her friends.

Weiss: Oh my goodness! Is (Y/n) alright?!

Yang: Aw, the Ice Queen does care. I had to fight some White Fang grunts that had found his hiding spot, but no harm done, just scared. We should head back to Beacon and let him get some rest.

     We all head back to Beacon and (Y/n) doesn't let go for a second, I swing by the cafeteria and grab some dinner and take it back to the dorm so (Y/n) can eat in peace. I made a promise to protect my son and I will die before I even think about breaking it.
