Chapter 9: Breaking Point

A/N: While Weiss is having trouble dealing with the fact that Ruby is team leader and trying to work with her, your frustration reaching limit.

After the battle with the Nevermore and Death Stalker, you all returned to beacon and the teams and leaders of said teams were decided. Ruby was the leader of team RWBY, which was comprised of herself, Weiss, Blake and Yang. Jaune was made leader of team JNPR, which was comprised of himself, Nora, Pyrrha and Ren. Ozpin gave you a room of your own. But he did say that at any time, you could make the choice of sharing a room with one of the teams in beacon. For now, you chose just to be in your own room.

(Y/N): Mgh........

You groaned as you started to wake up and get out of bed while sighing.

(Y/N): Welp, let's see what today has in story for us today, (Y/N).

You said to yourself before you walked out of the room and headed to the first class of the day as well as a few other students. Some of them still looked at you while others were taking to each other while paying you no mind. And thankfully, they weren't really talking about you or your kind. Which was a relief because it's been starting to make you a little frustrated when you either saw them looking at you or heard them talking in regards to you or your species.

(Y/N)'s mind: good, that's one relief I can get from this.

You all entered class and sat down. However, you noticed that Team RWBY wasn't in class yet and they had the same ones as you.

(Y/N): I guess the girls overslept.

As you were just sitting, the teacher, Professor Port was just about ready to speak before team RWBY and JNPR rushed in and took their seats.

Port: Ah, almost late I see? Well, at least you made it on time. Now we can begin.

(Y/N): Almost late?

You whispered to the girls as they sat down.

Weiss: Blame this one.

She whispered back while pointing to Ruby.

Ruby: It wasn't my fault. I just thought bunk beds were a cool idea.

Ruby whispered back before Professor Port got started.

Port: Monsters! Deeeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Haha!

There was silence.

Port: Uhhhh... And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now, as I was saying: Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses...

He gave Yang a wink, which made her groaned uncomfortably.

Port: Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world! That is what you are training to become. But first: A story. A tale of a young, handsome man... Me! When I was a boy...

(Y/N): It's gonna be one of those stories.

You said in a whispered sigh.

Port: ...Despite smelling of cabbages, my grandfather was a wise man. 'Peter', he told me..."

Ruby snickered and showed a drawing to you and her teammates. A general ball with limbs and a head drawing of port with Professor Poop written underneath. Blake and Yang laughed and you chuckled a bit while Weiss was annoyed.

Port: "Ah-heh-hem!"

He got you and the girls attention

Port: in the end, the Beowolf was no match for my sheer tenacity, and I returned to my village with the beast in captivity and my head held high, celebrated as a hero!

The teacher took a bow as Weiss slowly got more and more frustrated with Ruby.

Port: The moral of this story? A true Huntsman must be honorable!

Ruby was balancing an apple on a book with her pencil held only by her finger.

Port: A true Huntsman must be dependable!

Ruby had then fallen asleep.

Port: A true Huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise!

Ruby was now so subtly picking her nose, much to Weiss' building anger.

Port: So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?

Weiss raised her hand.

Weiss: I do, sir!

Port: Well, then, let's find out!

He turned to gesture at a boar looking Grimm.

Port: Step forward, and face your opponent!

Weiss Schnee stepped up and had her weapon ready.

Yang: Goooo, Weiss!

Blake: Fight well!

Ruby: Yeah, represent teeeeam RWBY!

She lowered her weapon and looked to ruby.

Weiss: Ruby! I'm trying to focus!"

Ruby: Oh, um... Sorry...

Port: Alright!

Port stood next to the cage with his axe.

Port: Let the match... begin!

He swung his weapon down and broke the lock, opening the cage to show a Boarbatusk, a Boar-like Grimm. It charged at Weiss. She used Myrtenaster to deflect its attack and roll to the side, to which she readied herself for its next move.

Port: Haha! Wasn't expecting that, were you?

Ruby: Hang in there, Weiss!

Weiss sped toward the Boarbatusk and stuck her blade straight at its skull. But it got in the beast's tusks. Weiss still hung on to the hilt until she was tossed around as she struggled to get the rapier back.

Port: Bold, new approach. I like it!

Ruby: Come on, Weiss, show it who's boss!

(Y/N): Um .....Ruby?

Weiss glared at Ruby, only for the Boarbatusk to turn its head and rip the sword from her grip. And she was hit by its tusks

Port: Oh ho! Now what will you do without your weapon?

(Y/N): This isn't good.

Weiss looked up just in time to see the Boarbatusk to charge again, rolling out of the way just in time to avoid getting trampled and make it crash into a desk. Weiss rushes at her sword and slides to get it back in her hand.

Ruby: Weiss! Go for its belly! There's no armor underneath......

Weiss: Stop telling me what to do!

Ruby:........😔

The Boarbatusk leapt into the air and rolled into a ball, spinning rapidly in the air and landing on the ground. It launched itself at Weiss. However, Weiss activated one of her circles and blocked the roll. She leaped up and drove the blade into the Boarbatusk's stomach. And the beast died.

Port: Bravo! Bravo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress-in-training! I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings, and... stay vigilant! Class dismissed!

Weiss glared at Ruby before turning away, and exiting the room.

Jaune: Sheesh, what's with her?

(Y/N): I think it's obvious. While Ruby was talking a bit through the fight, Weiss was getting a bit distracted. But she was just trying to give support and help in order to take it down.

You then noticed Ruby was gone.

(Meanwhile).

Ruby had caught up to Weiss.

Ruby: Weiss!

Weiss turning around.

Weiss: What?

Ruby: What's wrong with you? Why are you being.....

Weiss: What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? You're supposed to be a leader, and all you've been so far is a nuisance!

Ruby: What did I do?

Weiss: That's just it, you've done nothing to earn your position! Back in the forest, you acted like a child, and you've only continued to do so!

Ruby: Weiss, where is this coming from? What happened to all the talk about 'working together'? I thought you believed in acting as a team.

Weiss: Not a team led by you. I've studied and trained. And quite frankly, I deserve better. I really do not understand why that Arcosian always tries to defend you almost all the time!

Ruby: And that's another thing, why do you always have to criticize and say hateful things about him?

Weiss: You want to know why? Fine, I'll tell you. Ever since Frieza, his family and all those others attacked, they've destroyed nearly half of my father's business. After it was over, my father was focused on nothing more than building the rest of his business back up again, he didn't have time for any of us. Not even my mother. It was like he because a different person! My parents would barely be in the same room with each other anymore. His kind ruined my life. That's why I can't trust him.

She turned her back to Ruby.

Weiss: Ozpin made a mistake.

Weiss walked off. As Ruby stood where when she was suddenly surprised by Ozpin, who has been standing behind her.

Ozpin: Hmm... Now that didn't seem to go very well.

Ruby was on the verge of tears.

Ruby: Is she right? Did you make a mistake?

Ozpin: That remains to be seen.

You stood near the conor of the hall. You heard all of what Weiss said about Ruby. As well as you. You gripped your fist as you did what you could to hold in your frustration. After a moment, you were at least able to dial your frustration down a bit and let out a sigh before you started to walk to your room. You were thankful there wasn't too many students out in that part of the halls at the moment. Once you reached to where your room was. After opening the door and closing it after walking inside, you were about to lay on the bed for a little bit. However, you felt your foot step on something. You soon looked down to see what looked like multiple sheets of paper. You kneeled down and picked it up. Once doing so, you definitely didn't like what was written on them. Especially certain parts that were written such as: Monster, Go away, You don't belong here, Go back to your own planet, Ozpin made a terrible choice allowing you to come here, Beacon shouldn't allow traitors and Hasn't your kind ruined enough people's lives already?

(Y/N):.................

Your frustration built up to the point it was reaching its climax and you couldn't hold it back. You dropped the other pieces of paper while you furiously gripped one of them in your hand. You bared your teeth and you continued to grip your fist until blood eventually started to stream down a bit. You then slammed your fist against the wall, causing a crack to form on it.

(Y/N): It wasn't our fault...........

You said as your voice turned from a rage filled tone to one that sounded like your voice was breaking. You then dropped the crushed up and now slightly blood-soaked letter from you hand before sitting down on the floor next to your bed with your arms gripped around your knees and against your head. As you were doing this, small streams of tears began to roll down your face.

A/N:........still nothing.
