A/N: Cinder Fall infiltrates the Cross Continental Transmit System.

Professor Oobleck was listening intently as Professor Port laughed over some anecdote. Ozpin was standing off to the side with Glynda until General Ironwood offered his hand for her to dance with him. She gave an uninterested look. Jaune approached Ruby, who was standing pensively near the refreshment tables.

Jaune: I see you're hiding at the punch bowl too.

Ruby: Yep.

Jaune: To the socially awkward.

Ruby giggled and they clinked glasses.

Ruby: Sorry things didn't work out with Weiss.

Jaune: Meh, it's fine. Neptune's pretty "cool". I get why she went with him.

Ruby: What do you mean?

Jaune: Well, come on, not many people can pull off blue hair.

Jaune began to drink his punch.

Ruby: No, I mean, Weiss came to the dance alone.

Jaune choked in surprise.

Jaune: Uh, what?

Ruby pointed to Weiss, who was trying desperately to coax life out of a wilting white rose. When she failed, she looked visibly upset.

Ruby: Yeah, she said that she had too much to focus on to worry about boys.

Weiss soon heard laughing and turned to Sun Wukong, Blake Belladonna, and Neptune Vasilias as they entertained. Jaune was observing and became visibly perturbed.

Jaune: Hold my punch.

Jaune spoke in a low growl as he handed Ruby his glass and no sooner than he vanished from sight does she choose to drink from his cup.

(Y/N): Oh boy, what just happened?

You asked while walking over.

Ruby: let's just say it's probably not going to be pretty.

As Jaune made his way across the room, shoving other students aside, he stopped short and watched as Pyrrha passes by. He watched her walk glumly up the stairs and seemed to have a change of heart. He followed and found her on the balcony by herself. He soon started to approach her.

Jaune: Hey, Pyrrha.

Pyrrha turned around to face him.

Pyrrha: Hello, Jaune.

Jaune: You okay? I haven't seen you tonight.

She turned back to the balcony.

Jaune: Arrived late, I'm afraid.

Jaune: Well, you look really nice.

Pyrrha: Thank you.

Jaune: Your, uh, date isn't going to beat me up for saying that, is he?

Pyrrha: I think you're safe for tonight.

Jaune: So, where is the guy?

Pyrrha turned back toward Jaune.

Pyrrha: There is no guy.

Jaune: What?

Pyrrha: Nobody asked me.

She said sounding depressed.

Jaune: But that's ........You're Pyrrha Nikos! H ....How could nobody ask you?

Pyrrha: I've been blessed with incredible talents and opportunities. I'm constantly surrounded by love and praise, but when you're placed on a pedestal like that for so long, you become separated from the people that put you there in the first place.

She turned back to Jaune.

Pyrrha: Everyone assumes I'm too good for them. That I'm on a level they simply can't attain. It's become impossible to form any sort of meaningful relationship with people. That's what I like about you. When we met, you didn't even know my name. You treated me just like anyone else. And thanks to you, I've made friendships that will last a lifetime. I guess, you're the kind of guy I wish I was here with. Someone who just saw me for me.

Pyrrha looked at Jaune and then stared to walk away while Jaune simply stared in astonishment.

Jaune: W ....Wai.....!

Jaune watched as Pyrrha turns a corner. once she did, Neptune came out on the balcony while gesturing toward Jaune.

Neptune: Hey, uh, Jaune, right?

Jaune replied with a sigh before speaking.

Jaune: Yeah.

Neptune: This party's pretty lame, huh? I mean, ballroom dancing. Pfft.

Jaune: Yeah.

Jaune looked back out over the balcony.

Neptune: Cute girls, though, huh?

He gestured back to the dance. Jaune then growled.

Jaune: Is that all you think about?

Neptune: Huh?

Jaune: Do you even care about the girls you're hitting on? How they feel about you?

Neptune: Whoa! Where's this coming from?

Jaune: How could you just turn her down like that?

Neptune: Wait, w .....who?

Jaune: Weiss!

Neptune: I, uh ...it, uh ...it just didn't work out, you know?

Jaune: What? You think that you're too cool, too many other options? Weiss Schnee asked you to the dance. What in the world could possibly keep you from go....

Neptune: I can't dance!

He said looking down in shame.

Jaune: ..........Beg your pardon?

Neptune: I can't dance, man!

Jaune: But ...you're so cool!

Neptune: Thank you. I try really, really hard.

Jaune: You would rather break a girl's heart and go to a dance alone than just admit to everyone that you can't move in rhythm to music?

Neptune: That about sums it up, yeah.

Jaune: Well, I certainly feel a lot better about myself.

He said as he started to walk back inside.

Neptune: Please don't tell anybody. Look, if you want Weiss, she's all yours. I don't wanna get in your way.

Jaune turned back towards Neptune while placing his palms on a stone banister.

Jaune: Do you like her?

Neptune: Yeah, I mean I don't know her too well yet, but she seems pretty cool.

Jaune: Then just go talk to her. No pickup lines, no suave moves, just be yourself. I've heard that's the way to go.

Neptune: Yeah, but then.....

Jaune: Hey! You don't have to look cool all the time. In all honesty, if you could be a little less cool, I'd really appreciate it.

Neptune considered Jaune's advice.

Neptune: Yeah, okay.

Jaune: Go talk to her. I guarantee it'll make her night.

Neptune: Thanks. You're a really cool guy, Jaune.

Neptune approached Jaune, holding his fist out for a bump. Jaune then approached Neptune.

Jaune: Alright, don't lie to my face.

The two of them bump fists and Neptune walked away. Jaune sighed after this.

Jaune: All right, only one thing left to do.

Meanwhile Yang was leaning on a handrail and overlooking the festivities from a second tier while you stood next to her and Ruby approached and leaned on the rail with her.

Yang: You know? I think we really needed this.

(Y/N): No kidding.

Blake and Sun were slow dancing while Lie and Nora were seen waltzing with each other. Penny was all by herself, dancing alone. While being guarded by two Atlas Soldiers.

Ruby: Yeah, and you did a great job planning it too!

Yang reached over to Ruby.

Yang: Aw, thanks!

She was unknowingly crushing Ruby in a one-arm hug as she failed frantically.

Yang: It wasn't all me, though. Weiss did a lot too.

(Y/N): Uh .....Yang?

Yang: Hm?

She looked down at Ruby, who was looking down at weiss as neptune approached while rubbing his neck nervously. Weiss invited him to sit with her.

Yang: Tomorrow it's back to work.

(Y/N): Yep, and I'm sure trouble won't be far behind.

Ruby: I'm sure we can handle whatever gets thrown at us.

The sudden sound laughter and giggles drew all your attention.

(Y/N): What the..........?

Ruby: Ex...cept for that.

You and the girls saw people laughing at Jaune, who was dressed in a prom dress.

(Y/N): Look, I get that some people might say that Jaune is pretty. But I don't think that enough for him to dress in a girl's dress.

Pyrrha: Jaune?

Jaune: Eh, a promise is a promise.

Pyrrha soon started smiling. then giggling and then laughing aloud.

Pyrrha: Jaune! You didn't have to!

Jaune: Hey, an Arc never goes back on his word.

He extended his hand to Pyrrha.

Jaune: Now do you wanna stand there and laugh at me, or do you wanna dance?

Pyrrha offered her own hand as well.

Pyrrha: I would love to dance.

Jaune pulled her to him and swept her away.

Pyrrha: Oh!

Nora was flailing excitedly.

Pyrrha: Ren. This ...is ...happening!

(Y/N): He did it boys! He's in!

Ren: Wait, what "is happening"?

Nora grabbed Ren and dragged him out onto the dance floor with Pyrrha and Jaune. Team JNPR performed a short but elaborately choreographed dance, culminating in Jaune spinning Pyrrha.

Pyrrha: I had no idea you were a dancer.

Jaune: Yeah, well, these things tend to happen when you grow up with seven sisters.

Jaune dipped Pyrrha and then spun her away. Neptune and Weiss were watching the team dancers.

Weiss: So, what made you change your mind?

Neptune: Huh?

Weiss: You said you were embarrassed at first. What made you come talk to me?

Neptune: You're looking at him.

They watched Jaune dancing with Pyrrha.

Neptune: You got some good friends looking out for ya.

Jaune and Pyrrha continued to dance. Ren and Nora do a kind of disco dance, Sun and Blake joined the mix and Penny and an Atlas guard were showing doing the "robot". Mercury and Emerald were observing as the students danced.

Emerald: It appears all the dancers have partners.

Cinder: How long do I have?

Cinder said, talking with an ear bud.

Mercury: You should probably be home by midnight, to be safe.

Cinder was somewhere outside, in a stealth suit.

Cinder: I'll keep my eye on the clock.

(Y/N): Hm?

You soon walked outside as you felt that something wasn't right. Ruby soon followed behind him.

Ruby: (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Something doesn't seem right.

You said while looking at the rooftops. Ruby did as well and she then saw something moving from rooftop to rooftop. Ruby then began to pursue.

(Y/N): Hm? Ruby?

You followed behind her. Outside the Cross Continental Transmit System Tower, Cinder stealthily approached an armed guard. She chopped him in the back of the head, knocking him out. She then dragged him to the bushes. Cinder then walked inside the building and approached more guards.

Atlas Soldier 1: Excuse me, no one's allowed in this area.

Cinder continued to approach.

Atlas Soldier 1: Stop!

The soldier opened fire when Cinder didn't heed him. But She managed to overpower him and then used his gun to take out another approaching soldier. She then threw him against a handrail. Two more soldiers rushed her wielding batons. Cinder flash forged a pair of black blades from fire Dust and trounced them both. Inside an elevator, two soldiers were inside.

Atlas Soldier 2: Hey, man, do you know the Wi-Fi password?

Atlas Soldier 3: It's Beacon, but replace the E with a 3 and add a pound symbol to the end.

The elevator door opened up and Cinder walked inside as the soldiers noticed the other fallen soldiers. They both pointed their guns at cinder. And after the door closed, thrashing sounds were heard from outside the elevator.

(Meanwhile).

You and Ruby were outside the building while approaching an unconscious guard. RWBY gasped when she saw this.

(Y/N): Something is definitely not good.

Ruby pulled out her Scroll and dialed for her weapon locker, which soon crashed into the courtyard and opened up for Ruby's weapon. Back inside the building, the elevator doors opened while Cinder was examining a Scroll and walking out of the elevator, leaving two guards knocked out guards.

Cinder: Oh! That's handy.

She pocketed the Scroll while walking toward the control consoles nearby. Then her earbud went off.

Emerald: A party guest is leaving.

Cinder then let out a sigh.

Cinder: Which one?

Emerald: Ironwood.

Mercury: I guess the general had enough fun for one night.

A Random code soon appeared on a computer screen which was shown as a Queen chess piece.

Mercury: Should we intervene?

The other monitors in the room lighted up.

Cinder: No ...we're done here.

As she started to walk away, she noticed the elevator doors opening. You and Ruby stepped out of the elevator slowly while staying careful.

Ruby: Hello? Is anyone there? Hello?

(Y/N): I know I felt something up here.

Cinder rose from her hiding place and stepped out towards You and Ruby.

(Y/N): What the.....?

Ruby: Excuse me? You know, it's not a masquerade party, so why don't you take off that....

Cinder pulled out a container of ice Dust and sent shards of ice flying at You both. You were about to battle her, but it was interrupted by the appearance of Ironwood on the nearby elevator. Ruby was visibly glad to see him until she noticed that Cinder had disappeared.

(Y/N): Shit.........

In a hallway, Cinder discarded two bracelets and her mask to change from her stealth suit into a black dress and entered the dance. Two guards following her crush the bracelets underfoot and a were visibly confused at the sight of the crowded dance hall. Cinder then tapped Emerald's shoulder from behind.

Cinder: Oh, may I cut in?

Emerald stood aside.

Emerald: Of course.

Emerald left as Cinder began to dance with Mercury.

Mercury: And how's your night been?

Cinder: Mmm ...a little more exciting than expected.

Mercury: Should we be worried?

Cinder: Hardly ...They'll be scratching their heads long after we finished what we came here for.

Mercury: So then what now?

Cinder: Enjoy the rest of the night. After all, it is a party.

She said as she continued dance with Mercury.
