A/N: as You arrived at Beacon academy, You and Ruby have a bit of a runin with someone with quite the cold temper on them.

As You were on the ship with Ruby as it was taking you both to Beacon, she was suddenly tackled by a rather tall blonde. This blonde girl was her older sister, Yang Xiao Long.

Yang: Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever!

(Y/N): O_O

Ruby: Please stop.

Yang then released Ruby from her grasp.

Yang: But I'm so proud of you!

Ruby: Really Sis, it was nothing.

Yang: What do you mean? It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you're the bee's knees.

Ruby: I don't want to be the "bee's knees", okay? I don't want to be any kind of knees! I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees.

Yang: What's with you? Aren't you excited?

Ruby: Of course, I'm excited... I just... "I got moved ahead two years. I don't want people to think I'm special or anything.

Yang went over and gave her sister a one-armed hug.

Yang: But you are special.

She soon noticed you.

Yang: By the way, who's this little guy?

Ruby: that's (Y/N). He's an Arcosian. He's gonna be going to Beacon with us.

Yang: Oh cool. But, should you really be mentioning that out loud?

(Y/N): it's not like it matters really. I stick out like a sore thumb compared to everyone else here. Plus, there's enough people looking at me as there is.

You told Yang as some of the other people on the ship were whispering amongst each other in regards to you. Their talking was soon silenced when a hologram of Glynda appeared and got everyone's attention.

Glynda: Hello, and welcome to Beacon!

Yang: Who's that?

(Y/N): That would be Glynda Goodwitch. Me and your sister had the "pleasure" of meeting an speaking with her and Ozpin last night.

Yang: Oh.

Glynda: You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world. And as for our Arcosian visitor, (Y/N).

You sighed a bit when she had to mention you.

Glynda: he will be here acting as a representative of his race and attending beacon to show you, but hopefully the rest of Remant that his kind are not beings of bad intentions. While there, he will be treated like ever other student.

Some of the other people glanced back at you.

(Y/N): -_-

The hologram of Glynda disappeared and everyone else got back to their own business.

Ruby: Oh, wow! Look, you can see Signal from up here!

She said as she and other people looked through the glass walls at the city below.

Ruby: I guess home isn't too far after all!

Yang: Beacon's our home, now.

The three of you could hear a passenger groaning and hunched over nearby before they ran to the back of the ship.

(Y/N): That doesn't sound good.

Yang: Well... I guess the view isn't for everyone.

Ruby: It was a nice moment while it lasted.

The ship was approaching Beacon across a large body of water.

Ruby: I wonder who we're gonna meet! I just hope they're better than Vomit Boy.

She noticed some puke on Yang's shoe.

Ruby: Oh, Yang, gross! You have puke on your shoe!

Yang: Gross, gross, gross, gross, gross, gross, gross, gross!

Ruby: Get......Get away! Get away from me! Get away from me! Get away from me! Get away from me!

(Y/N): Oh calm down, it's just a small spot of vomit. Just whip it off.

They both noticed that there was a little bit on your tail as well.

(Y/N): .............he got some on my tail, didn't he?

(TimeSkip).

After the ships had landed at Beacon, the students got off and started walking through the campus. Yang was already gone while you decided to have a little walk on your own. However, you soon heard someone yelling. You saw Ruby getting yelled at by a girl with white hair, wearing what looked like a white dress with some blue spots and a scar on her eye. This grouchy looking girl was Weiss Schnee.

Weiss: What are you, brain-dead?

She yelled while holding out a vial of red Dust and shutting the case.

Weiss: Dust! Fire, water, lightning, energy!

Ruby: I... I know...

She started coughing from the Dust pouring into her face.

Weiss: Are you even listening to me? Is any of this sinking in? What do you have to say for yourself?!

You walked over and stood in between the two.

(Y/N): Okay, let's take it easy here, ladies.

Weiss: This is none of your business, Arcosian!

(Y/N): She's with me. It's as much my business as it is yours.

Weiss: You hardly have any idea on what's going on here!

(Y/N): I know well that it's a dust related incident and that you're being way too hard on her about it. Especially when she having the common courtesy of apologizing for it.

Ruby had received more and more dust to her face before she finally sneezed. This resulted in a full-blown explosion of flame, snowflakes, and electricity erupt right onto You and Weiss. The bottle Weiss had been holding flew over the courtyard and at the feet of a girl wearing a mostly black and with some white clothing and a black bow over her head, she was Blake Belladonna.

Blake: hm?

She looked down and noticed the bottle before picking it up. She soon took notice of the Schnee Dust Company logo on the side as she read from a book and looked over at you and the Schnee, who were now covered in soot. But it quickly disappeared.

Weiss: Unbelievable! This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about!

Ruby: I'm really, really sorry!

Weiss: Ugh, you complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?

Ruby: Well, I...I...

(Y/N): Aren't you a little too far stuck up to be in an academy like this?

Weiss: And you! Why did they let an Arcosian come here? They know well about what happened all those years ago!

(Y/N): Maybe because they actually wanted to try and give my race a second chance to see what the rest of us are actually like compared to the actions of a small handful of rouges!

Weiss was starting to get irritated.

Ruby: Alright enough, I said I was sorry anyway!

(Y/N): Yeah, so push off, princess!

Blake: It's heiress, actually.

The three of you looked over as Blake approached with the bottle.

Blake: Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world.

Weiss: Finally! Some recognition!

Blake: The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners.

Weiss was getting angry again as you and Ruby chuckled

Weiss: Wha.... How dare you....The nerve of... Ugh!

She got up in Blake's face and takes the bottle from her and then walked off in a huff as her helpers gathered the luggage and followed behind her.

Ruby: I promise I'll make this up to you!

She yelled to Weiss as she walked away. Ruby then let out a low sigh.

Ruby: I guess I'm not the only one having a rough first day... So, what's...

Blake was walking off as well. Ruby then collapsed to the ground on her back and sighed again.

Ruby: "sighs"

(Y/N): Well I can't suppose this day couldn't get any worse.

You looked down to Ruby.

(Y/N): Want me to help you up?

Ruby: Naw, just gonna lay here for a bit.

(Y/N): You sure?

Ruby: Yeah.

(Y/N): Well, if you insist. I'll see you inside I guess.

Ruby: Yeah........

You started to walk inside while Ruby continued to lay on the ground. What you didn't know was that a tiny black insect-like creature with some white spots on it and red eyes was watching you while staying hidden from anyone's sight.

???: So, the rumors are true. The Arcosians have sent one of their own back to Remnant. This should be quite interesting.

A/N: first day of school and things have already seem to have gotten "interesting".
