Malcolm was deathly afraid of spiders, but he wouldn't hesitate for a second if they were about to attack someone he loved. For example, if Octavian was covered in 100 spiders, Malcolm would run away. If Y/N or one of his kids was within a 200 mile radius of one, he wouldn't hesitate for a second to smash that thing with his bear hands. It's not his fault he has bear-like fur on his limbs.
