She tied the scarf around our eyes and Aayan held my hand tight as we took little steps

"Surprise!!!!"we heard when we arrived at the garden
I quickly removed the blindfold and I did the same for Aayan

And i saw a colourful banner that has "Happy birthday Malak and Aayan🎉🎈🎂" nicely written on

I closed my mouth trying not to cry and with teary eyes I looked around
The garden was beautifully decorated with balloons which I'm sure is for Aayan

Mother,Father,Dad,Kamil,Fareeda,Fareed,Hashim,Yusuf,Rachel,Amina,Ismail,Aliyu,Raliyah and Kamal himself

Kamal engulfed me into a hug

"You knew!"i exclaimed hitting his chest lightly

He chuckled holding my hand then he kissed my palm

"Don't you know your credentials contain your birth certificate
And if showed you I knew how would I surprise you?"he asked with a raised brow

I smiled

"Ah ko kunya babu(ah there is no shame)" Mother called and Kamal released me

"Mother"i exclaimed feeling shy

"Come here birthday boy"Kamal said carrying Aayan

I exchanged pleasantries with everyone present
Even little Hilwa came with her mother
Then Khalid,Aayan's other friend with his elder brother
After everyone wished and prayed for us

We started eating except for Kamal,I tried feeding him but he declined

I noticed Aayan feeding Hilwa Samosa and she happily ate while Khalid fed himself

I tapped Kamal softly,pointing towards the kids and he laughed whispering "how cute"

After we finished filling our stomachs we were called for pictures

"That's it we are tired"Kamil cried sitting on a chair

"Oh come on"Rachel whined insisting we snap more

"Come on,cut the cake so that the celebrants can eat to their satisfaction"mother called excitedly approaching the table where the cakes were placed

After mother cut the cake everyone took his or her share then left the remaining for us to carry home

the sun was starting to set and everyone took it as a sign to get going

We bid goodbyes and entered our cars

Kamal dropped Raliyah and I at home before he joined Kamil and Dad at the masjid while we prayed at home then prepare a light dinner and cut some fruits for Kamal
I guessed he was fasting but when I saw him eating date when the call for magrib was called
My guessing was confirmed right

"As salam Alaikum" he greeted entering with a smile

"Wa Alaikumus salam"i said I went towards him pulling him by his arm to the dinning room

"So you fasted today and you didn't tell me?why will you even fast?"i asked with a skeptical look

"Malak,it's you and Aayan's birthday so since you couldn't fast
I did and I prayed for you and Aayan's well boring"he replied looking away

And that melted my heart
Is my husband sweet?

I hugged him shortly before I fed him fruits and Aayan arrived insisting I feed him too so Kamal understood by feeding himself with the vegetable couscous.

We prayed isha prayers before we heard Salams
Kamil and Dad were back from the masjid

Kamil took a plate of couscous to his room while Dad asked for his ginger tea and also left to his room.

"Mummy I miss Hilwa already"Aayan cried entering the kitchen

"Really?"Kamal and I asked in unison

"Yeah"he replied

"You will see her in three days Or leave"Kamal assured after he took a cup of mango juice
His phone rang so he left to our room kissing Aayan goodbye on his forehead

"Can we open my gifts?"Aayan asked playing with the fridge handle

"Yes but tomorrow,now we sleep"i replied

"No mummy"he said shaking his head

"Yes Aayany"i said smiling

He giggled at the name running to his room and I ran after him

I made sure he took his bath change into a comfortable pyjamas
Which he is surprisingly starting to outgrown

"I will speak to her dad about your clothings"i said tucking him into bead and he smiled

Today I finished telling him the story of prophet Musa (As)

I switched off the lights walking to our room

Kamal was sitting on the couch patting a space for me to sit which I obeyed

"I saw this yesterday online and I thought of buying it for you angel"

He placed something wrapped on my laps,I quickly unwrapped the gift

And i awed at the beautiful red rose in a transparent container

I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him closer into a hug

"You are the best,perfect for me"i whispered with a smile and he hugged me tighter

Until I pulled out and he got up to carry something from on top of the wardrobe and I heard things falling

I don't know what happened but i look up from my phone after snapping the gift

"Why are you holding that?"i asked when I found Kamal holding the box of underwears Afrah gave us

I kept the gift aside standing up

Oh I forgot to hide it!

"Why don't you wear it?"he asked and I gasped dramatically

"That's like being literally naked"i added sounding more dramatic

"Well only I get to see so it's not Haram"he replied with a goofy grin

"I'm going to deal with Afrah"i whispered to air

"Come on,I want to see you wear it"he requested approaching me

"Kamal!"i exclaimed

"My love!"he called smiling

I snatched the box walking away to the bathroom

"Wear the white One!"he shouted

I removed my long night dress then I wore it

"Is for your husband,he is going to see you like this sooner or later"i whispered to my reflection

I heard knock

"If it makes you uncomfortable please don't wear it,come lets cuddle instead"he said softly

I laughed at his statement

"Too late" I said walking out of the bathroom in my bathrobe

He smirked locking the doors bringing me closer and I giggled

He gently untied the robe making it fall before he looked at me

"You...."he said sounding speechless

I inhaled then exhaled

"So wifey why don't we give our son a junior sister?"he asked then he placed his nose on my collar bone

"Are you hearing yourself Kamal!so shameless!i am not in a hurry"i said nervously

"Well i am especially when you are dressed in that"he said in a serious tone

He carried me in a bridal style and I squealed
he laid me on the bed gently before straddling in between my legs
His eyes darkened as they raked over my body before he started planting feather kisses from my forehead,to my nose,to my lips and to my collar bone while rubbing my arms gently
My breath hitched

Before he removed his shirt

I closed my eyes tightly,I felt someone carrying me and making me sit on his laps

"Is it strange if a guy goes to a lingerie shop to buy his wife few sets?"he asked making me wear his shirt after I opened my eyes

I laughed hiding my face in the crook of his neck

"I know you are not ready and if I ask you
You will say yes because you love me.
But you know this has a gift,we get to have an additional baby
Which I'm sure is too early for you"he said thoughtfully

"Thank you"i said smiling then i laced our fingers together

i started thinking of the advice my mama told Zaina One time

"Remember the boy or a guy that likes you, will always think of your interest before his and your comfort before his"

"What's wrong?"Kamal asked bringing me out of my thoughts

"I'm just thinking about my Mother"i replied truthfully

"What was her name?"he asked softly

"Rukkaiya"i replied smiling

He smiled then said "look how charm gave birth to an angel"

I smiled wrapping my arms around his neck

And we kept talking about our late mothers till we fell asleep

I have nothing to say but i want to say something
