Kamal took a right turn instead of left

"Kamal"i called looking around

"Umm"he answered his attention on the road

"Are we not going home?everyone must be worried"i reminded looking at him while Aayan played with my bracelet

"I texted Dad and told them not to worry
It's been a long time we had family time
You can text your friends and tell them we are alright"he said smiling

"Okay"i said unlocking my phone

"Don't worry I wouldn't kidnap you"he joked

I chuckled

"But you will wait for us to pray magrib before we go to where i plan"he informed giving me a glance

"I never said I was not praying"i pointed out

"But are you?"he asked smiling

I smiled looking away

"There is no need to be shy of me
I was taught all this in school and know you enough to know if you are praying or not"he explained
I look down at Aayan and he giggled playing with my fingers

"Like for instance you pray nafilahs before fajr and if you are not praying you don't"he added

"If you notice this why don't you join me some other time?"i suggested and he sighed

"In sha Allah,I will try"he said softly

"I understand we will take it slowly"i assured him placing my hand on his as a support

"Well thank you"he said smiling

"No thank You"i said smiling

The car went silent untill Aayan started singing all sorts of nasheeds that he couldn't pronounce the words well But from the tone you could guess the song.

"Aren't you interested in nasheeds these days?"Kamal asked pulling Aayan's cheek softly

"Well is what they teach them"i reasoned trying to adjust the shoes he wants to remove

"True"Kamal agreed

"No mummy!"Aayan screamed trying to push my hand

"Stay still"i said giving him a straight face and he stayed still

He parked at the central masjid parking lot before getting down and came to my side to carry Aayan

"Allah?"Aayan asked Kamal when he spotted the building

"Yes,lets go pray to Allah"Kamal replied carrying him

I closed the door,quickly texted everyone that was worried And i received quick replies and I was grateful for having them in my life.

I started watching videos till I heard the door opened

"Boo!"Kamal exclaimed
"Why aren't you startled?"he asked when he saw my state

"Why would I when I know it's you?"i asked smiling

"Well lucky you"he said

They entered the car and he passed Aayan to me

Then he gave me a black plastic bag

"Mmm what's in there?"i asked curiously

"Wait till we get home"he said with a grin

After thirty minutes drive we arrived at sugar high

"Sugar high?"i asked looking around

"Yeah people get hyper on sugar"he pointed out smiling

And i laughed

Kamal comes down and opened the door for us

"I will hold him now"he said and Aayan jumped into his arms
And we walked into the building

"Welcome to sugar high"a lady who looked,Zaina's age said

"Thank you"Kamal and I said in unison

I looked around and only two people were present,they looked like a couple

"I guess not everyone takes sugar these days"Kamal said looking at me and I smiled

"I guess so too"i agreed sitting Aayan in the high chair that Kamal put in the middle

"Ice keem(ice cream)!"Aayan exclaimed looking at the images around

"What flavour?"Kamal asked

"Get vanilla for me but strawberry for him"i replied keeping my phone on the table

And he walked away to get it

Kamal's pov

I came back with two cups then brought the third one before paying the lady behind the counter

"Here like this"Malak said adjusting the spoon in Aayan's hand

"I think he knows how to feed himself by now"i said chuckling

"But i can't help it"she said nervously

"This caramel is nice,why don't you take it?"i asked studying her

"I tasted it once when I was staying with Fareeda but i guess the ice cream parlour couldn't make it right"she replied smiling

"Yes,have it"i suggested bringing my spoon forward

She opens her mouth and I feed her

"Mmm,their ice cream is not that bad"she admitted cleaning the side of her mouth

And i smiled studying her

Aayan tried to feed her but the spoon landed on her nose

"Aayan!"she exclaimed

"Sorry mummy"he said innocently

And he immediately licks it off and we laughed till our stomach hurts

"I miss you mummy and daddy"he said smiling

"We miss you too son"we said in unison

"I'm sorry but we take memories for every customer in here "the lady that welcomed us earlier said standing infront of our table holding a camera

"Yeah it's true,I can spot my picture on the picture board placed on the wall"i said pointing at the pictures

After we adjust our chairs placed my arm around her shoulders
We were so closed my heart was practically going to burst,and when she smiled the whole world stopped and I couldn't help but stare

"Nice!"the lady exclaimed
Bringing me out of my thoughts

We got up to leave and when we stepped out thats when Malak realised she left her phone inside so i told them to go to the car and while i get the phone

"You really love your wife,May you always be together"the lady prayed and I smiled saying Ameen

And that's when I realised something

When I got to the car Aayan was asleep

"You are the best"Malak said softly smiling

I dropped them home before I went to the masjid to pray isha prayers

I met Kamil and Dad there and we came back at same time.

And we all ate dinner before Malak left yawning
Kamil also left to his room

"How is life going son?"Dad asked bringing down his newspaper

"Life can be stressful but Alhamdulilah with the right people it's worth it"i replied smiling

"Is not easy being a father is it?"he asked again smiling

"Don't think son"i replied chuckling

"I'm still proud of you son"he said softly

"Thank you Dad"i said with a grin

Then he got up and left

I need someone to talk to about what's happening with me so i went straight to Kamil's room

"To what do I own this visit?and why the puzzled Look ?"Kamil asked sitting up on his bed

"You know how I used to tell you when I liked something because you are the creative one you always suggest a beautiful way to get it"i reminded pacing around the room

"Don't forget I helped with Aayan too"he added smiling

"Right"i agreed then took a deep breath before sitting next to him on his bed

"I love Malak"i confessed smiling

"What?"he asked

Then he started laughing and i kept looking at him till he stopped

"Why are freaked out?it's natural besides you are spending the rest of your life with her and Aayan and maybe two other kids.it happens not all arranged marriages are successful but destined hearts make it successful"Kamil assured

"Six other kids"i corrected with a goofy smile

"Unbelievable!"he exclaimed throwing his pillow at me

"And i never thought I will fall for her this quick"i admitted

"You two are destined hearts remember?"he asked placing his arms on my shoulder

"Anyways are you planning on proposing?"he asked

"Yes"i replied

"Don't worry t-bro is always here"he assured

We shook hands and exchanged smiles
