I took my family to the guest house
And left to prepare something for them

I ignored him and continue chopping the vegetables

He grabbed my wrist and turned me around

"Im talking to you"he said angrily forcing me to look into his eyes

"You want answers?fine!i ran away from home to study nursing
Baba didnt want me to come

He looked shocked

"Let go of my wrist!"i said trying to be free

He tightened it more

"The girl i married ran away from home,very funny of you.

I smiled,tears rolling down my cheeks due to the pain he was causing me

"Is because you dont have a sister thats why"i said seeing the way he has been treating girls since i met him

He quickly lets go of my wrist avoiding my eyes

I gasped

Why didn't Fareeda tell me about?"i asked sadly

"Her death was too painful for Fareeda because they were like twins"he replied looking around

Kamal kept silent and i switched the cooker off waiting for an answer

I wipied my tears and went back to cooking

"After all my family is here"i said to myself with a smile

Raliyah walked into the kitchen with My sisters behind

"We wanted to have enough talk with since baba insist in going back next tomorrow"Zaina said with a sad smile

Raliyah helped with the blending of pepper

"Well let the talk continue"I said smiling

We had a long catch up gist and we were able to make dinner for everyone.we walked into the living room and met our fathers happily laughing

"I knew there is no one as stubborn as you Ayub"uncle Ali said

"Malam Ali kenan"Baba said smiling

"Whats going on?"kamil asked

We all stood flabbergasted watching the two conversing happily

"I found my old friend"Baba said playfully tapping Uncle Ali

"Ayub helped me when i went to gombe to serve many years ago
I happen to have lost his contact and he left his old house when i went back.
I asked if he knew a friend
I described where he leaves and everything and he replied with i am the one,dan birni(city boy)"uncle Ali replied with a smile

Baba laughed

"Thats so good to hear"inna said smiling as she sits on the carpet

"Yes,inna"Baba said

"Sit on the sofa inna"uncle Ali said

She shook her head and we just let her be

"We Should all pray then eat"uncle Ali spoke

We prayed magrib then settled at the dinning room to eat
Inna,my sisters and Baba wanted to sit on the carpet
So the rest joined.

I insisted on serving them and kamal was no where to be found
I sighed

"Where is my son in law?"Baba asked Uncle Ali

"He had emergency case in the hospital"uncle Ali replied

"He is a doctor?"Baba asked again

"Yes,senior"Kamil replied with a proud smile
Yusra looked at Kamil dreamingly and my brows furrowed

"Masha Allah"my family members said in unison

"Malak sit and eat"Inna said patting a space next to her

Raliyah hands Aayan to me
"He just woke up"she said softly

"I will eat later i have exams in two days"i replied
Baba looked at me and i smiled,he looked away
After i fed Aayan and we prayed Isha

I introduced him to my family
uncle Ali informed father and they are excited to meet up with my family tomorrow

Yusra carried Aayan even though he squealed and screamed around.
Few minutes later she fell asleep
I handed Aayan to Kamil
Then we took her to the room
Inna tagged along

"My legs are sore"inna exclaimed sitting on the carpet

"Its old age"i teased as i sat in front of her then i begin to massage her legs

"No i see the way your handsome husband was looking at me
Get ready to have me as your co wife"inna said and Zaina nodded

Zaina and i burst into laughs

"Its so surprising how you ended up getting married before me Malak"Zaina added with teary eyes

"I had a reason"i reminded

"Inna told me"Zaina said as she covers Yusra properly

"Im sleeping here"i announced

"Sleep there dear,let it not seem somehow
We have tomorrow"inna said patting my head

"Im going to school
I can't believe my dream is coming true
Inna and Zaina"i said smiling

"Thats Allah's will"Zaina assured
Inna nodded and i smiled

"You spoke about exams didn't you?
Go read dear"inna reminded trying to make me get up

"Yes,go we will be alright"Zaina assured

"If you need anything,call me"i said getting up and stretching

"Okay"Inna and Zaina said in unison

On my way out of the guest house i came across baba
"Baba please forgive me"i said sadly

He ignored me and continued walking away

I sighed walking back to the main building

"Hes asleep"i whispered looking at a sleeping Aayan
I adjusted him,covering him with blanket properly
I saw him clutching a picture,after removing it and opening it
I gasped

Its a picture of me and Kamal on our wedding day

Poor Aayan to him we are family.
