Panem was never a good place to live. It was the remains of a war zone; a desolate burial ground. One that was conquered by a cruel, heartless man. Unfortunately the survivors were  forcibly divided into 13 districts and ruled by an iron fist. The King changed all the laws and ways of life. Rebellion was almost expected, so the ruler decided to create the Hunger Games. A way for the kingdom to survive "peacefully." A nice little game that would pick children ages 12-18 randomly to compete in a competition of sorts.

Unfortunately for the losers, the penalty was death

The Hunger Games became a feared tradition to everyone except District 1 and 2, aka the rich. They would train their children to be ruthless fighters, only seeking glory and fame for the slaughter of their people. The once 'peaceful' game began to turn into a bloodbath and was the stuff of nightmares. The children of District 1 & 2 often volunteered and most of the time, they won. While the other Districts struggled to even afford food, let alone training for their death.

Every year got worse until the 51st games. When Osiris Abbott, the son of the fearful ruler was due to take the throne but he didn't want it. He hated the games and everything they stood for, even if he won his own games at the young age of 10. He did not want to be his father, a soulless monster. He wanted to change things; he wanted a better and brighter future for Panem. So when he was mandated to become a mentor for the District 12, he never imagined how much his life would change. Osiris met Lucy Gray and instantly knew she was his soulmate. And he came to only one conclusion, she would win this game, no matter what.

But she didn't just win, she stopped the games

In her pursuit to survive the Hunger Games, Osiris and her found something long hidden from the world... magic. With her quick wit, help from Osiris, and newfound powers, she was able to win the 51st game. Osiris and Lucy were beloved by Panem, much to the dismay of his father. So when he ordered the execution of both of them, he should have known there would be consequences. The two would not go down without a fight, constantly training and growing their magic. Until the two became immeasurably strong and easily overthrew Osiris' father.

And together they brought Panem back to its glory. The once desolate towns now rebuilt, the people no longer starving, and finally peace, something long forgotten by the people. All 13 Districts flourished under their care and soon, they were welcoming a little girl, Daenyra. The heir to the throne. And three years later, a little boy named Daemon. But little did they know that a scornful lover was planning an uprising, built on hate and revenge.

On the anniversary of the 60th Hunger Games, all the Districts were celebrating their freedom in what many called 'independence day'. When a man with hair as white as snow appeared, he quickly killed the king before seizing the castle. But luckily Lucy was able to escape with a 10 year old Daenyra and 7 year old Daemon. The small family retreated to District 12, hoping to lay low.

The new President of Panem, Snow, was out for their heads and was killing anyone connected to the Abbott's. Even going as far as to tarnish the Abbott name by making up lies and painting them as evil. Finally in a fit of rage over not being able to find the three, he bombs District 13, leaving nothing but ashes. President Snow then held a conference, reinstating the Hunger Games.

Years later Lucy, Daenyra, and Daemon live a peaceful but lonely life in District 12. They stay to themselves, hidden in plain site. That is until they bump into their soulmates at the 74th annual Hunger Games. Unfortunately for Nira, both of hers were chosen for the reaping. So the Abbott's do what they do best, help.

And incredibly, Katniss and Peeta both win! The three are reunited and it seems like they'll finally get their happily ever after. That is until the 75th Hunger Games when President Snow has had enough and makes more than a few changes to the games. Like the fact that there will only be former victors chosen for all but District 12. Because they also get 2 new victors along with 2 former victors.

And it just so happens that Daenyra and Daemon get picked. And you know the old saying..

it's the things we love most that destroy us.
