who would've thought... i participated in a little drawing contest thingy again...

either way, i simply couldn't not participate this time around!
essentially -1-800-BADBOYHALO has four characters, that are based on the ace cards in a deck. we thus have spades, diamonds, hearts and clubs... and the deadline is valentines...

and i mean... you guys know me. i'm just a little, aroace bean, that likes drawing, and always get's hella excited as soon as some sort of asexual representation is going on...
obviously this isn't proper representation, since the characters aren't all asexual or something, but the fact that they are aces and the deadline is valentines, just made me grin and yell "suck my cock" at this allonormative society.

so, when it came to choosing what character i would draw, i obviously didn't need to think much. the ace of spades looks just hella awesome (y'all know how much i like black and red >w<) and since aromantic and asexual people are nicknamed "aces of spades" in the ace-community... i mean... it was too perfect to not draw them, ya know >w<

anyways, enough jibber jabber on my end, here's the original design ^-^

i then went ahead and had some fun...
i decided to go with the rebellious vibe, using a lot of red and darker tones and shadows... the hand poses were a struggle, because we all know how much i love drawing middle fingers everywhere... they didn't quite fit with the "fuck this shit" vibe i was striving for.
so i decided with a loose open hand and out beloved sign of the horns, paired with a relaxed facial expression, tired eyes and ... argh... still not too sure how to categorize them mouths, but you can see that one for yourselves >w<

other than that, i decided to make the spade-thingy a bit more obvious, through a tattoo, necklace and a larger pring on the shirt. i also wasn't too sure how to interpret the dark thingies by the eyes and mouth... they probably are blood, but i decided to make them scars, just to get a bit of extra interest in there >w<

otherwise... yeah... not a lot for me to say... just a nice, little 1 hour drawing, smack dab in the middle of my comfort zone ...

i did have a ton of fun over here... man those simpler character designs are always so fun to work with! and i really had a ton of fun adding some fun extra details to the design, hehe....

apart from that... since i'm pretty darn disappointed, but also motivated for the next try... remember the xiao fanart contest, that ended up with me creating this thing?

yeah.. didn't win batshit...
either way, i do indeed want to try my best at the currently running zhongli and ganyu contests, so we'll see how those two go ^-^
