Aerlinniel POV

~Flashback to when the Dragon attack happened~

Elarinya and I are heading back to the hidden kingdom. We were just at the lake and it was starting to get late so we had to go back. As we are walking, I hear Elarinya scream.

"What? What is it Elarinya? Why are you screaming?" I ask her, concerned.

"I, um. The village and.... it's on fire." She says and then gasps. "NANETH! ADA!" She screams, as I hear her start to run.

"Elarinya, no! We should stay together." I try to shout to her, but I am to late.

As I get closer and closer, I hear many different screams, some are crying, some yelling names. And then there's me. Blind, no idea where my family is and if they are alive or not.

I feel numb. This feels like a dream, but I know that this is really happening. "Elarinya!" I call out, "Please, answer me! Where are you?"

I am getting really worried. What is going on any way? Where the fire come from? Right as I thought this, I heard a roar and the flapping of wings. I froze, oh my Gondor, it's a Dragon!

I am now panicking as I desperately call out for my sister and parents. Where could they be? Are they alright? Are they safe? Those and many other question are going through my head at the moment.

I feel tears stream down my face as I run in no particular direction. I find a hiding spot in some bushes and just sit there, hoping that my family is okay.

~Few hours later~

Everything has quieted down, it is so silent. Too silent. Did anyone else survive? Did anyone get out? Is my family safe? Those questions, and so many others, are making my head hurt and are making me worry to much. I need to calm down and try to find my family, or at least maybe someone else. 

I walk around calling out my families names, and after a while, I give up and sit down. I don't even know if I'm still in the Hidden Kingdom. I am alone, without my family, and I have no idea what to do.

I lay down on my back and close my eyes. I try to sleep because I know I need rest, but its impossible. I can stop thinking about what happened, specifically to my family. My mind is buzzing with thoughts for what feels like hours. And soon, somehow, I finally fall asleep.

Sorry its short, I was going to write more, but you guys have waited long enough. You needed an update. I will probably update again within the next two days! :D I hope you guys are still reading this book because many shocking things are about to happen, and you wont want to miss them! ;) If any of you are still reading this, I want to thank you for sticking with me.<3 It means a lot that, even though I have not updated in a while, you still want to read.
