Chapter 6

Lola's POV
Pulling to the driveway of Riley's house I'm still in tears. Riley gets out, I follow behind. "Where were you" I hear his mother ask watching her give her husband a hug.
"Lola's gonna spend the weekend" He replays to his wife as she looks at me.
"Lola come here sweetie, I'm so sorry" Ms. Matthews says embracing me in her arms.
"Momma what's wrong, what happened to Lola" Rileys younger sister Jennifer asks coming out of the house the group stood in front of.
"Jane and Peter were hurt. They are in heaven now baby girl." Mr. Matthew says to his daughter who is now in his arms.
"I miss them so much and they weren't really even my parents." I cry, and that's when Riley slips his hand into mine unexpectedly as we head inside.

"Time for dinner" Rileys Mom yells from down the stairs causing us to get up from the game of 'UNO' we were playing on the floor of Jennifer's room.
"Don't forget to wash your hands before you sit at my table, I'm specifically talking to you Jennifer" Mr Matthew's yells calling the 4 year old out.
All I could think about was Jane and Peter. How I was rude to them this morning because I couldn't wear a dress to school. It was a beautiful dress, and I felt like I didn't belong. I felt like I wasn't pretty enough and that no guy would like me.  And then I found out that one of my friends told Jane how I felt about boys, and not being pretty enough. So she said to me "If a boy wants you, they should accept the real you" and to think that was the last memory we made together. It made me feel sad.  So I didn't eat that night. And that had the Matthews worried.

This chapter was written because of a little push of motivation. I thought this book way dead to be honest.
So thank you Hurleysmall for the push to move forward on this story
